108: Chapter 104: Searching 108: Chapter 104: Searching Cheng Ziang watched the two leave, shaking his head.
Turning around, he continued to follow Luo’er.
“These fellows are pretending to be white people from Earth!” Exclaid Cheng Ziang.
“Hmmm, I noticed!” Luo’er nodded, not turning his head to reply.
“Very interesting, what exactly do they want to do?” Cheng Ziang pondered.
“I am not sure, but given the current situation, they appear to be pretending to be Earthlings and are holding Academy students hostage.
But I don’t know what their purpose is yet.
We need to find Moumou and contact headquarters through her in order to understand the whole situation.” Luo’er replied.
“But on the other hand, why would the academy’s magic be suppressed?” Cheng Ziang asked with furrowed brows.
“If my speculations are correct, it should be the work of that strange device they ntioned.
Luo’er answered.
“What device?”
“I’m not too sure.
I only know roughly where it is.
Once we’ve found Moumou, we’ll go there together.
Those people should have placed it in the archives room.” Luo’er replied.
“The archives room, the one brought from the underground tunnel?” Cheng Ziang asked.
“Hmm!” Luo’er nodded, then ceased further discussion.
By now, they had reached the core area of the premises, outside the classroom corridor.
Luo’er led Cheng Ziang directly to a classroom and pushed the door to enter.
It was a tiered classroom, filled with aristocratic students.
The lecturer on the stage had been shot dead.
At the mont, there were three gunn in the classroom.
Two of them held guns guarding two corners of the room, while the third was brazenly tearing a female student’s clothes.
The girl shrieked, but no one dared to intervene.
Luo Chuan entered the classroom, pulled out a pistol from his leg holster, and fired a shot at the ceiling.
The loud gunshot drew everyone’s attention.
It startled the gunn.
“The chief has ordered not to hurt the students, are you looking for death?” Luo’er coldly warned.
The gunman who was tearing off the girl’s clothes turned around and said unhappily to Luo’er, “You should not be ddling in this!”
“Whether I should or not…” Luo’er said as he aid his gun at him.
His actions made two other gunn nervous as they raised their rifles pointing at Luo’er.
“Are you ready for the repercussions of disrupting our plan?” Luo’er coldly retorted.
He had no idea what these people were planning or what they intended to do.
He only spoke out these nonspecific phrases based on minimal intelligence.
However, his words shook the gunn.
The one who was tearing off the girl’s clothes zipped his trousers back up, and grumbled, “She is just a newly-minted noblewoman, there’s no need for this hostility, right?”
“How do you know she’s a new noble?
Shouldn’t you bear the responsibility if she is so VIP’s daughter?” Luo’er continued to respond coldly.
From the mont he entered, Luo’er showed an imposing attitude that the gunn didn’t even have ti to question his identity or purpose.
After confirming that Tangmo wasn’t in this classroom, Luo’er warned them and then left.
Leaving the classroom, the two continued to search for Tangmo’s whereabouts.
Although bursting into the classroom drew the gunn’s attention, Luo’er always managed to avoid their inquiries.
In the classroom, Tangmo sat at the back, watching quietly as the two gunn who stord in threatened the lecturer.
They were dressed in Earth-style combat uniforms and tactical vests, exuding a vibe of freedom.
The weapons they held were the popular AR series in the western countries, which Luo’er had ntioned.
When they burst in, they communicated in broken English.
While the others couldn’t understand them, Tangmo could.
Most of their phrases were simple and short.
When they attempted longer sentences, their conversation beca hilariously absurd.
“Buddy, how should we teach him a lesson?” The taller gunman asked while gripping the lecturer’s collar.
“Shit, don’t…
hurt him first.
Let’s see …
the students…” The shorter gunman stuttered.
Then he faced dozens of students, saying in fluent Tasta language, “Everyone stay put, you are being held hostage.
If you don’t want to die, stay where you are.”
He chuckled and added, “Don’t even think about using magic.
The magic here has been suppressed!”
Tangmo was stunned and then realized what had been bothering her.
The discomfort she had been feeling was indeed due to the inability to channel magic into her body.
Growing up on Earth, she was not strongly affected by the absence of magic, unlike other students who were suffering as they were unable to channel magic.
Tangmo looked at Feliz across the aisle, whose face was pale and visibly exhausted.
Clearly, the powerful magic affinity Feliz has makes it difficult for her to withstand this magic-less environnt.
On the other hand, these gunn had low magical affinity, therefore they were far more capable of adapting to such conditions.
Tangmo knew that these people were not from Earth at all.
Despite their attempt to cover their intentions with awkward English, it was apparent that their every move revealed an amateurish sense, which was vastly different from the soldiers on Earth who had undergone formal training.
She rembered Luo’er’s earlier warning.
As expected, soone planned to cause trouble in the Magic Academy.
Thinking of this, Tangmo couldn’t help but tightly grip the dagger hidden in her clothes.
Suddenly, the short gunman noticed Tangmo.
Her oriental appearance stood out among the Aud people.
The short man knew that such a face ant she could be an outsider, implying that she wasn’t a hereditary noble within Odelanqi’s territory.
At this thought, the short gunman imdiately grew fearful.
He eyed Tangmo with a lecherous gaze and approached her.
Tangmo gripped her dagger tightly.
The short gunman had clearly picked the wrong target.
Although Tangmo’s close combat skills were below the average level at Haiya Academy, she was confident she could slit his throat before he could react.
“Don’t hurt her!” Before she could react, the professor on the podium spoke first.
He couldn’t bear to see his student injured and bravely spoke to dissuade them.
What he didn’t understand was that without magic, he was nothing but a weak scholar in front of these gunn.
The tall gunman reacted quickly, abruptly raising his gunstock, knocking the professor to the ground, and then pointed the dark gun barrel at him.
The short man sneered before turning his attention back to Tangmo, examining her up and down.
He then asked, “What’s your na?”
Tangmo looked at him calmly, showing an unusual lack of weakness: “Audrey!”
“Audrey, your full na?”
“Audrey!” Tangmo emphasized once again.
“So you’re a newly crowned noble?” The short gunman gave a nasty smile which was obstructed by his mask.
Single-nad ant she didn’t belong to any family, but was a newcor to nobility.
That was exactly what he was targeting.
He rubbed his hands with a perverted look, preparing to charge forward.
Suddenly, a childish voice rang out from the side.
“Hold on!” The one who spoke was Feliz.
She stood up and bravely faced the gunman, her tone still as firm.
“And who might you be?” The short man looked at her cautiously.
“Feliz Uzstas,” Feliz stated her full na.
“Feliz Uzistas…
The Uzistas Family… shit,” the short gunman muttered under his breath, a disappointed look on his face.
“She’s my friend.
If you dare lay a finger on her, it ans you’re declaring war on the Uzistas Family!” Feliz declared coldly.
“But you’re just prisoners.
Even if you are from the Uzistas Family, can your leader save you now?” The short man retorted defiantly.
“If you dare to touch , the Uzistas Family will not let you off!” Feliz replied gritting her teeth.
Her words indeed hit the short gunman’s soft spot.
Before the mission, their superiors had repeatedly instructed them not to injure the noble students.
Their families held powerful influences and if they combined forces to investigate this matter, he would be in deep trouble, and not even their superiors could defend them.
Thinking of this, the short man beca frustrated and blurted out, “So what, I’ll just kill you right now!
What can the Uzistas Family do to !”
With that, he pulled out the gun from his thigh holster and aid it at Feliz.
Feliz recognized the weapon in the short man’s hand.
It was a small firearm from the Otherworld, not to be underestimated.
She gritted her teeth and glanced at Tangmo.
Although she didn’t back down, she didn’t dare utter another word.
Seeing his threat work, the short man grinned coldly.
He snorted satisfactorily, put his gun away, and turned his attention back to Tangmo.
Tangmo didn’t expect Feliz to stand up for her.
Despite her eventual retreat, Tangmo’s opinion of her greatly improved.
Feliz was just like Luo’er said, a petulant and childish girl, arrogant as only a hereditary noble could be.
But essentially, she was good.
She had the courage to stand up for a forr enemy, and that alone had Tangmo completely forgiving her.
Tangmo had been prepared to strike, her dagger tightly held in her right hand, waiting for the short man to approach so she could slit his throat.
After a brief interruption, the short man focused his attention back on Tangmo, eyeing her up and down with a lewd gaze.
She found his gaze nauseating.
Nobody except Luo was allowed to look at her like that.
For the first ti, Tangmo, who was ordinarily so kind-hearted to the point of being saintly, harbored the wish to kill.
She gripped the dagger in her hand tightly, waiting for the short man to approach, so she could end his life with a single stroke.
Perhaps the short gunman didn’t realize that this frail-looking girl before him was actually a hidden beast.
Of course, if he did, he wouldn’t have let his guard down and approached her foolishly.
