1074: Chapter 1067: The Divine Will 1074: Chapter 1067: The Divine Will Giving Captain Luo’er a fierce glare, Queen Lillith rearranged her expression, then said icily, “Take Captain Luo’er to rest.”

She would definitely not acknowledge Luo’er’s identity, which could be discerned from the way she addressed him.

Li Si squinted his eyes, observing everything.

It seed that Lillith only intended to detain Luo’er and the others temporarily, without completely falling out with Headquarters.

Although he could demand the Advance Team to return to their station on orders from Headquarters and then secretly proceed with their plan, he decided to observe for a while longer.

Because he noticed that Luo’er didn’t seem very flustered, clearly having a plan in mind, so Li Si decided not to interfere with these matters, or else it would beco increasingly troubleso.

Luo’er and his group were taken away by soldiers and placed under special watch.

These soldiers carried automatic rifles on their shoulders and long swords at their waists.

Ironically, the weapons provided to these soldiers by Headquarters were now being used to detain their own n.

Watching as Luo’er and the others were taken away, Lillith turned to Li Si, then slightly bowed with a trace of apology, “I’m truly sorry, Mr.

Li Si, we only wish to follow protocol and hope you can rest here for a while.

Our approach might be a bit inappropriate, I hope Mr.

Li Si can understand.”

“Oh, it’s fine.

Since this is Your Majesty’s wish, we naturally have nothing to say.

The Advance Team has been running around without a chance to rest, we are thankful for Your Majesty’s hospitality, so how can we be dissatisfied?” Li Si replied with a slight smile, politely.

“Good, then please, Mr.

Li Si, go rest now.

We will take good care of you,” Lillith said.

“Much obliged!” Li Si nodded, and just as he turned to go, he suddenly paused, a puzzling question suddeny crossing his mind.

“How did the queen know that the Advance Team would co with the airboat, and even wait at the square specially for us?” Li Si murmured, suddenly realizing that sothing seed quite off.

Because the matter of the airboat picking up the Advance Team before heading south was not reported to the Ilanadale side as the airboat was only conducting trade and did not involve political factors.

Therefore, his presence on the airboat was just as a passenger, not as soone specifically leading it to the south.

So now, the situation beca, even though the airboat just happened to take on him and the Advance Team along the way, how did Queen Lillith know that Luo’er and the others would co?

Regarding Luo’er’s move to the south, Li Si had only inford Princess Nina.

Could it be that she leaked Luo’er’s whereabouts?

No, that’s not right; Nina knew that Lillith disliked Luo’er, why would she specifically go tell her about Luo’er’s arrival?

Thinking this, Li Si turned his head to look at Nina, who was pestering Lillith demanding an explanation, but Lillith clearly was very displeased with her shrew-like deanor.

“Could it really be Tana causing mischief?” Li Si said to himself, involuntarily looking around, feeling an inexplicable shiver.

In the palace, just as Lillith reached the main hall, Nina appeared at the entrance, calling out loudly to her, “Mother!”

Hearing her call, Queen Lillith turned around, her face filled with anger as she said, “Nina, how many tis have I told you?

In front of outsiders, mind your deanor.

You are the future queen, don’t act like a shaless shrew!”

“I don’t care, what exactly do you plan to do with Luo’er?” Nina said without hesitation.

“Luo’er, Luo’er, is he all that’s in your heart?

Do you no longer even want the throne for Luo’er’s sake?” Queen Lillith scolded.

“If taking the throne ans giving up on Luo’er, then I’d rather not have it, not be a princess, just as if I had never returned all these years,” Nina said decisively.

“Nina, do you realize what you’re saying?

For that half-breed, you’re a noble princess, and yet you can say such a thing?” Queen Lillith trembled with rage.

“I am Luo’er’s mother, you don’t want to give up on , so why do you expect to give up on him?

He is my and Luo Chuan’s child,” Nina said, tears spilling from her eyes the mont she ntioned Luo Chuan.

“You, ah…” Lillith was montarily at a loss for words, watching Nina’s tear-streaked face, she also felt sothing fragile within her stir.

She beckoned Nina over, and while the latter wiped away her tears and walked towards her, Lillith gently stroked Nina’s hair and then, shaking her head, lanted, “Mother didn’t wish to do this, but Luo’er and his people, they threaten the future of Ilanadale, so Mother had to…”

“A threat?

Mother, what are you talking about?” Nina widened her eyes in shock as she looked at Queen Lillith and asked.

“If Mother lets them go today, Ilanadale is finished,” Queen Lillith said, her face expressionless.

“Impossible, Luo’er would never do such a thing, absolutely not,” Nina stepped back, vehently arguing.

“Nina, are you willing to trust Luo’er, but not your own mother?” asked Queen Lilith angrily.

“I am Luo’er’s mother; shouldn’t I trust him?” Nina retorted.

“You always like to quibble with .

Do you really think I’d arbitrarily target Luo’er?” Queen Lilith asked.

“Your actions make it impossible for to trust your intentions,” Nina said somberly.

“You!” For the first ti, Queen Lilith felt such rage that Nina nearly infuriated her to death.

“The house arrest of Luo’er was my doing, Your Highness.

There is no need to trouble Her Majesty the Queen,” a gentle male voice emanated from the doorway.

Nina turned, only to find that the architect of it all was none other than the Priest who had once saved Luo’er’s life.

“What exactly do you want?” When facing the Priest, Nina was nowhere near as polite as she had been with the Queen, pointing directly at his nose and demanding.

“Nina, show so respect to the Priest!” Queen Lilith said angrily.

“Respect?” Nina turned to glare at Queen Lilith, and then from nowhere, she drew a pistol, skillfully chambered a round, and pointing it at the Priest, she said through clenched teeth, “If anyone dares to harm Luo’er, I will take their life!”

“Nina!!” Queen Lilith cried out in shock and rage, pointing at Nina and exclaiming loudly.

“Your Highness, please stay calm.” Facing the agitated Nina, the Priest was not panicked but slowly raised his hands and said in a calm tone.

“What are you really trying to do, why are you targeting Luo’er?” Nina demanded, holding the pistol pointed at him.

“It is not I who am targeting Luo’er but Luo’er who is targeting Ilanadale, Your Highness,” the Priest replied indifferently.

“What are you talking about?

How could Luo’er possibly target Ilanadale?

I know his nature better than you do; he’s not that kind of person,” Nina stated resolutely.

“The house arrest of Luo’er is the will of the gods; I am rely following orders.

Is even Princess Nina going to question that?” the Priest answered.

“God, Tana?” Nina asked with a frown.

“Nina, it is forbidden to speak directly of the god’s na!” Lilith corrected.

Nina turned back to look at her, and although her pistol was still pointed at the Priest, the barrel involuntarily lowered.

After a mont of contemplation, she stared at the Priest and asked, “Why do the gods want to put Luo’er under house arrest?”

“Because Luo’er wants to go to Xia Yue Island,” the Priest answered.

“Luo’er wants to go to Xia Yue Island, but why?” Nina asked, puzzled.

“That, Your Highness, you will have to ask Luo’er yourself,” the Priest said with a smile.

“I don’t believe Luo’er would be that foolish.

He knows what it ans to go to Xia Yue Island; it’s absolutely impossible,” Nina stated.

“Princess Nina, to doubt is to doubt the gods themselves.

How does your wisdom compare to that of the gods?” the Priest queried.

“I don’t know how my wisdom compares to the gods’, but I do know that my affection for Luo’er is certainly greater than the gods’ care for us,” Nina said firmly.

“Nina, have you truly succumbed to demonic influence?” Queen Lilith asked with an incredulous face and a heartfelt plea, “For the sake of that child, would you really betray the royal family, betray your faith?”

“Let repeat myself: he is my son, he is mine and Luo Chuan’s son, he is my only faith in this world!” Nina turned and declared resolutely.
