AZRAEL

I had been healing Zoe when I looked up. Ambrosia had been used her new move like crazy lately, and it looked like she was getting ready to do so again. I had been wondering if there was so kind of drawback to it, because most of her other moves were not nearly as powerful as this one, almost like comparing a grenade to a nuke. Oh yeah, I knew about nuclear weapons. I also knew the true reason why technology went away, and would not likely co back either.

Long ago, when humans discovered fire, there was a paradigm shift. You see, runes are code. They are a type of energy that defines reality, just as Original Intent defines form and function, and used to be called “atoms.” Few people know that word anymore, and it's a good thing, as through the study of atoms ca the atomic bomb and the problems of nuclear energy pollution. Cosmic energy uses energy along the sa principles, but it has none of the risk of fallout. Around the ti of the invention of fire was when humans understood how to use runes, and this continued until about the Industrial Revolution. After that ti, there was no longer any more talk about “superstitious” things like magic or faith, and people only talked about science or technology in terms of making new things. Really, you can't put together a new device without piecing together millions and millions of these “atoms” and running the device requires energy. What do you think that cos from? They were hiding from themselves the existence of runes, and would have continued to do so if not for encountering elves and learning about mystic power.

It is ti to tell you of Earth's true history. You see, at the ti of Joseph in Egypt around 2000 BC, there were 7 years of famine. This is consistent with either a volcanic explosion or a nuclear winter. Also circa 2000 BC, there was an account of a weapon called the Brahmastra in Hindu texts with risk of hair loss and poisoning of food and water. It was a nuclear bomb in a ti before complex technology. For at the ti, people did not require technology, they used magic. This is why their architecture appears so simple but is also so heavy as to be suggested done by aliens. This is why occasionally archaeology will turn up strange objects that appear to be out of ti. Whenever things get to a point of absolute destruction, they also renew themselves or start over.

Before magic, there was another system called hierophany. The pyramids operate such a system, and are far older than history books claim. The Great Pyramid and the positioning of the pyramids correspond with the constellation of Orion. This alignnt would have only occurred around 10500 BC. The Sphinx, too, aligns to the the constellation of Leo in the sa year, 10500 BC. History is mostly cyclical, not linear.

In fact, a video ga released in 1996 called Treasure of the Rudras carefully mapped human history to a 4000 year cycle of growth, destruction, historical suppression, and regeneration. And it was ntioned again, when the docuntary known as Crystalis depicted the End Day as October 1, 1997. These events depict real history in this world.

This cycle of destruction and renewal continued with minor changes several tis, until Jesus ca. Jesus broke the cycle and humanity overall turned aside from constant war and destruction, at least until this ti Earth destroyed for a different reason thousands of years later, because of the demon Belial. The cycle of history changed, and fate was averted. The Brahmastra is now common knowledge, a powerful ritual that requires at least two people to unlock. But unlike before, the Gayatri sutra is also known, basically the sa sutra as the other but with the syllables inverted. These are patterns of thought called the Absolute. The Gayatri is Absolute Yang, an ability of Renewal capable of making lifeless planets green and abolishing toxicity; the Brahmastra is Absolute Yin, an ability of Destruction. The people at the ti believed them technology, and called them terraforming and nuclear weapons. But they are not. They saw only the solid form, not the reality. This was the power of the mind, to create or destroy. This was the power of Tao.

Ambrosia's Tao ability took from the other eight Crests, right? So there had to be so kind of drawback. I watched as she did this. I watched the air turn subtly grow dimr in a radius around herself and Belial. Through careful observation of magic, I was able to analyze what everyone missed, how exactly this effect worked. It linked Ambrosia to her target, giving her a sort of feedback. Ideally, I'm sure it drained power from the target, feeding it back to her as extra power, and rolling it back at them. To the average observer, it looked like she just launched a rotating white and black ball of energy at a single target, but from my careful observation I concluded they were both inside a rotating ball. The constant feedback appeared to be the key to this technique. I watched it, all of it, just as it failed. What was normally supposed to happen was as it rotated, the ball was supposed to narrow until it matched the size of the target, damaging or destroying them depending on how effective it was. But that's not what happened. I saw the ball instead waver, and swirl back a bit, and Ambrosia collapsed. Even before I checked her pulse, I knew she was dead, and this would not be an easy revival.

Revival mainly revives deaths that can be dically explained. But revival from Yin Yang feedback misfire... I'm not even sure I could co up with a spell to reverse that.

After that, everything went wrong. It started with the weak sections of the wall. They were loose, and with all the fighting going on, it was understandable that so damage might result. But I knew better. Because I had seen everything when I rang my Exorcist Bell. Zoe also showed a knowing look, she also know who Ambrosia was. It must have been when they teleported together, that sort of thing does share mories, even ones you didn't know you had. Then, the floor shook. Tiny cracks ford in the walls, floor, and ceiling. These cracks beca fissures, and these fissures beca holes. Then sothing happened that most people had never seen. The holes themselves began to develop cracks until the holes had holes. We were standing in an empty room. No, that's not right. We were standing in a room filled with emptiness. The physical dinsions of the place were likely the sa, but the walls overlapped with outer space and the void. The stars could be seen, but they were burning out, one by one.

Aqorm asked, “Why? Why are you doing this? Everyone's disappearing because of what you've done!” Belial scoffed, “? ??Yo??u ??th??in??k?? ??I did?? t??his? ??Li??s??t??en??. ??Amb??rosia t??here ??is??n't?? ??d??e??ad.?? ??In f??a??ct, ??sh??e??'??s?? ??t??he?? on??ly?? on??e?? o??f u??s w??h??o?? ??ac??t??ua??l??ly?? ex??i??s??ts??.??.. ??If sh??e'??s?? knoc??ke??d ??o??u??t l??i??ke?? thi??s??, t??he ??u??niv??erse?? ??st??art??s ??t??o?? ??cr??um??b??le. ??All ??o??f u??s?? ??w??i??ll?? d??ie??,?? ??b??eca??use?? yo??u a??tt??a??cked?? ??m??e.?? ??My p??l??an?? ??woul??d?? ??h??a??v??e ??d??estr??o??y??ed ??ma??n??y,?? ??b??u??t?? ulti??ma??t??e??ly?? it mig??h??t?? ??h??a??ve?? ??re??s??ult??ed in?? a?? r??e??a??l ??wo??r??l??d.?? Aqorm asked, “What's he talking about?” I explained to Elias, hoping he would explain to her, “Ambrosia is... a cosmic keystone. If she goes, everything goes.” The dawning revelation made everyone freeze in shock. My last thoughts before all of us fade into nothing were to rember what I had seen...

AMBROSIA

It is as he said, despite the fact that my body should have died, I was only in a little coma. I heard everything. Then, I rembered everything. This was wrong. I wasn't supposed to rember this...
