Bryan Baker gritted his teeth in embarrassnt when it dawned on he couldn’t get up as Kelsie’s firm hold on him held him down.

Struggling any further would tell everyone watching he couldn’t escape her grip, so he stopped.

Instead, he turned to his friends and lashed out at them in annoyance.

"What do you think you’re doing? Get her away from !"

His friends, however, were still taken aback by Kelsie throwing Bryan on the floor that they forgot to turn off the livestream.

When his words registered in their head, they shook their heads in refusal.

"If we drag her away from you, that will be us manhandling her. Get away from her grip instead."

Bryan gritted his teeth in anger and squeezed his eyes shut. When he peeled them open again, he decided to swallow his sha and tell them he couldn’t when the door suddenly swung open and the apartnt building’s security rushed in.

His eyes lit up and he hurriedly beckoned onto them.

"Security, this woman is being violent in the premises. She may be a resident here, but is that enough to cause such trouble for the rest of the residents?"

"Hurry up and drag her away from or I will be pressing charges against the lousy security of this apartnt building once this is over!"

The security n were suddenly thrown into a dilemma.

Years of working here was enough for them to know even the lowest apartnt in this building was worth a few millions.

Soone capable of affording such a hefty sum for rent wouldn’t be ordinary.

So they didn’t dare to look down on Kelsie.

But Bryan, on the other hand, was dressed and spoke like a typical rich scion of a wealthy family.

If they refused to act on his words, they would surely be in trouble.

Bryan realized they were hesitate and his anger shot through the roof as he half-shouted, "What? Are you worried about offending her?"

"Don’t be ridiculous. I may not know what floor she has an apartnt on, but it has to be one of the lowest. If it’s one of the lowest, then I assure you you don’t want to offend for her!"

His friends also began chipping in.

"He’s the heir of the Baker family. If anything happens to him because of your negligence, do you think his family will let you off?!"

"Do you know the owner of this apartnt building is close with his family? If he learns you let such a thing happen to a good friend of his in his property, you’ll be losing more than your job."

"While the rest of you you drag her off of him, one of you should be calling the police. Waste anymore ti and she’ll not be the only one who’ll arrested!"

The apartnt building security didn’t need to weigh these new information any more than ten seconds to know they were supposed to take Bryan’s side.

As they took a step forward, Jett was getting ready to speak up.

In what universe was he close with the family of this punk?

However, before he could say anything, Kelsie raised her eyes to look at the security, the iciness in them halted them almost imdiately.

Realizing they were being scared straight by her and yet unable to take any more steps forward, their face darkened in embarrassnt.

To lessen their embarrassnt, they huffed in frustration and proceeded to chide her.

"Woman, do you have no decency? You have an apartnt here, so you should know better what the building’s motor is all about and not fight in the premises."

Kelsie slid a hand into her pocket and raised a questioning brow, "Fight? Who is fighting?"

The security paused and glanced at Bryan’s friends inquisitively.

"What did you say? We all saw you throw our friend on the floor!"

Kelsie calmly turned her eyes to them.

"I threw him on the floor, that is not a fight. I know you were not the brightest in your class, but how could you not know what fighting is?"

Her direct shade rendered them speechless.

She then turned her eyes away from them, returning it to the security n.

"I did throw him on the floor, but that was all because he crossed the line by touching without my permission. Had he kept his hands to himself, none of this would’ve happened."

She paused and released her grip on Bryan, then proceeded to take two steps backward before lowering her eyes to the floor slightly.

"I apologize if my actions just now scared anyone. I did what I did out of self-defense. I hope you understand."

Her sudden apology took everyone by surprise.

Bryan’s jaw and that of his friends’ almost dropped to the floor in disbelief.

Serbian Howard chuckled softly and slid his hands into his pocket while the man behind him was fuming again.

"What is she doing? Why is she being so cute? I have a feeling I don’t like it."

Eric Lance inched closer to him in confusion.

"Is anything the matter, Mr. Adler?"

Jett didn’t seem to hear him as he snickered in annoyance.

"Why is she apologizing when that punk deserved it? If she apologized for sothing she didn’t do, then she should apologize to for saying I’m into n."

Eric was perplexed.

His boss was saying a lot of words, but he couldn’t piece any together to make any sense.

It wasn’t also in his character to be so affected by things happening around him. In fact, in all his years of working for Jett, this was one of the rare tis he was showing emotions.

But he was sure of one thing; this woman was affecting his boss’ moods and not in the best way.

anwhile, the few people who didn’t like that Bryan proposed in public and couldn’t bash him earlier, used this opportunity to do this.

"That’s right. That man had no business touching her after she turned him down. And what was that he said? How vulgar and uncouth!"

"She must be adamant to break off their engagent because of that foul temper and mouth of his."

"You all were blaming the poor woman just now and raining praises on him. Who knows what she has passed through in his hands to act like this."

"Who was it that said he’s her dream man? Your taste in n is horrible. You should look beyond the charm and cheesy words."

"Talking about cheesy, those romantic words he said earlier were the epito of cheesy. I had goosebumps when he said it. Turns out it wasn’t out of envy, but of disgust."

Seeing the public opinion had turned against him, Bryan balled his right hand into a tight fist and sneered loudly at Kelsie.

"You threw on the floor just because I touched you without permission? Bullshit! You threw on the floor because I aired your dirty laundry in public!"

"Why? Does talking about your bastard children embarrass you? It does, doesn’t it? Then you never should’ve been loose and slept with a random hobo back then."

Kelsie’s eyes hardened.

Jett Adler suddenly got on his feet and was about to step forward when Eric, who had stepped out to answer a call so seconds ago, returned with a worrying news.

"Mr. Adler, Elder Mr. Adler collapsed a few minutes ago and has been taken to the hospital."

Jett paused, his eyes flickering hesitatingly between Kelsie and Eric before he turned and left the building in a haste.

As soon as he left, the man sitting in front of him briskly closed the distance between him and Bryan.

And without warning, raised his palm and struck him hard across the face.
