In the police station just across the amusent park, Kelsie sat across the middle-aged officer who had co across them in the street earlier.
The triplets sat by her right while the three n who tried to rob her occupied the three chairs on her left.
Two of them had their broken hands in a sling cast while the one who had been with the knife had a cast on his leg and wrist.
He was fuming the most out given the officer kept asking him the sa question.
"Misters, is this a joke to you? Are police officers a joke to you or do we look like standup codians in anyway?!"
Bang!
He slamd his palm against the desk, but winced in pain imdiately as he had used the hand with a broken wrist.
Nevertheless, he still straightened up and gritted his teeth furiously, "How many tis do you we need to tell you she’s the one who did this to us? Look at my wrist and my leg, do you think I’d do these to myself?"
The other two n by his side nodded in agreent and chipped in with a sigh.
"Don’t be fooled by how slender and weak she looks, she threw up and slamd against the floor. How else do you think I broke my shoulder?"
"Do you know what she did to ? She dislocated my shoulder then made him punch . Look at my eyes. I almost went blind today because of her!"
The person being talked about sat innocently in her seat, her eyes roaming around the place.
The case had attracted the attention of other officers as it was their first ti seeing grown-up n claim they were beaten by such a weak-looking woman.
The officer taking their report clenched his jaw tightly and slapped a book against the one with a cast on his head, causing him to cry out from the pain.
The officer scoffed and threw the book down on his desk as he chided angrily, "If you keep lying to , not only will I let this woman press charges against you, but I’ll make sure you sleep in a cell without food for three days!"
At this point, the n were tired of saying the sa things over and over again.
"Officer, why would we lie to you? This woman brutally did this to all three of..."
Bang!
The officer slamd his palm against this desk and hollered at them angrily. "Shut up!"
"How can you shalessly keep saying soone like her beat all three of you and left you in this state? Have you no sha?"
"Give the na of the man who did this to you and I’ll have him arrested this instant!"
Man?
Kelsie couldn’t help feeding offended.
She leaned forward and cleared her throat noisily, catching their attention.
"Excuse , officer. What they’ve been saying is correct. I did this to them because they tried to rob ."
"What?" The officer turned to her in surprise.
Kelsie pressed her lips into a thin line and quickly began to defend her actions.
"But I didn’t hit them. My children are my witnesses. They hit themselves. This punch that almost blinded him, his friend did it to him."
"When he tried to punch , I rely held his shoulders and this one tripped on a rock in the middle of the road."
"Don’t listen to a word they’re saying because I really didn’t touch them."
"What?" The middle aged officer repeated again, still unable to believe his ears.
Thinking he misunderstood her intention, she pointed at herself and asked innocently, "Officer, look at . Don’t I at least look a few years older than them?"
"You do." The man replied, not quite sure of why he was being asked such a question or of what relevance it was to the case.
Kelsie nodded in agreent and continued.
"Then is it wrong to teach them a lesson for pointing a knife at their elder whom they tried to rob in front of her little ones?"
"Furthermore, take a look at them, don’t they look a bit malnourished? When I saw how weak they seed, I thought it best they won’t be able to move around freely for a while."
"They won’t sit still on a normal day, but with injuries like these, they will have no choice but to get healthier in the hospital."
"As their elder, i really couldn’t stop myself from helping them. What if it were soone angry they t today? I can’t begin to imagine what they’d look like."
"At least now, after they recuperate, they will be strong and healthy enough to rob others and not get beaten up in the process."
By the ti she finished reasoning with them, everyone in the room couldn’t help seeing it from her perspective.
What a kind-hearted woman!
The three thieves were rendered speechless.
"What is going on? You’re not really buying this shit, are..." The one with the bandage on his wrist was still talking when Kelsie smacked the back of his head.
"Not only is this a police station, there are also kids here. Mind what you say, will you?"
"Officer, did you see..."
But he was imdiately shut up when the officer slamd the book against his head again and sneered.
"Where are your manners? You should be thanking her for reaching you such a valuable lesson!"
"Being in a cell without food for three days is too small. I should increase it to seven days to teach you a bigger lesson!"
"T-thank you, ma’am. Thank you so much!" The thief didn’t realize when he turned to Kelsie and began apologizing.
A cold glance from the officer to the other two got them to do the sa.
But at the sa ti, they couldn’t help feeling aggrieved and wronged.
They were the ones who ended up with injuries, yet they were the ones apologizing.
The world wasn’t fair at all.
Kelsie leaned back on her seat and didn’t bother to look at them.
"The next ti I hear you robbed soone, I’ll beat you to a...i an, I’ll report you to this kind officer and make sure you get a good beating from him!"
While this was happening, Keira and Zade suddenly forgot they were supposed to be eting people.
At the amusent park, Daniel was getting worried after sending countless ssages to the group without either of the triplets reading it.
