In Kelsie’s apartnt, Zade and Keira stood beside the couch in the living room, dressed in their school uniforms.

Jett was on his stomach and from where they stood, neither of them could tell if he was still breathing.

"Is he dead? Why hasn’t he changed position since last night?" Zade gulped down nervously, his voice laced with worry.

"I don’t know, Zade. I would’ve leaned forward to check, but I’m too scared to do so." Keira exhaled heavily, rubbing both palms together.

At that mont, the door to their room flew open, and an unbothered Jesse strolled out, carrying his school bag along with his siblings’.

Tossing the bags on a sofa, he sat beside them and made to turn on the television when his sister quietly hopped toward him, extrely careful not to wake Jett.

"Brother, you’re not scared easily. Why don’t you check up on daddy for us?"

He paused to glance toward Jett, brows perking up in surprise, "Why, what is wrong with him?"

Biting down on his lower lip, she followed his gaze, "No idea. He hasn’t changed position since, and his face is turned away from us, so we can’t tell if he’s breathing or not."

Jesse stared at Jett for a while before he shook his head and proceeded to turn on the television.

"There’s no need to be worried. He’s a cockroach. He won’t die easily."

Kelsie soon ca out of her room all dressed and headed to the dining table for her car key, but paused when she saw Zade hovering above Jett.

"Zade, what are you doing?"

He glanced at her and thinned his lips sadly.

"Trying to see if daddy is still breathing."

At this, she changed directions and headed toward the cushion.

Last night, Jett had tripped on the way past the cushion and fell on it.

The mont his back hit the soft surface, he imdiately refused to get up and went straight to sleep.

He was already so heavy while drunk. As a sleeping man, she had no energy to lift him to her room.

Hence, she brought him a duvet and took off his shoes.

Glancing at the ti on the wall clock, she sighed and placed a finger underneath his nose.

After a while, she turned to him with a small smile and retracted her finger, "He’s just asleep, Zade."

"Thank goodness!" Keira was the first to exhale in relief before she dashed toward her school bag.

She picked it up and sauntered toward the door when she paused and glanced behind her.

"Will daddy still be here when we get back from school?"

"He has a company to run, what do you think?" Jesse huffed begrudgingly as he walked towards her.

Kelsie humd in agreent, "What your brother said. But I’m sure he’ll co running over if you ask him to."

After making sure they weren’t missing anything, Zade and Jesse went for their lunch-boxes, picking up Keira’s as well.

As Kelsie waited for them to be back from the kitchen, a tone she found unfamiliar filled the air.

She always had the triplets turn off their phones before leaving for school. So it couldn’t be any of theirs.

Checking to see if one of them might’ve changed the ringtone on her phone, she suddenly realized she wasn’t the only adult in the room.

She deliberated for a mont whether to check who was calling or not. At the thought that it could be Eric, she threw caution to the wind and checked his pockets for the ringing phone.

Surprisingly, it was just the person she was looking for.

"Sir, today is your grand-father’s pre-birthday party. You know the whole family always gathers two days before the actual day to celebrate it every year. So where are you?" Eric’s nervous voice filled her eardrums.

"Hi, Eric. Jett can’t co to the phone now. He’s asleep. In my apartnt. Do you have to co pick him up? I’ll tell the nanny soone will be coming."

The line suddenly went silent.

Kelsie frowned slightly when she didn’t hear another word from him, checking to see if the call had disconnected before calling out to him again, "Eric, are you still there?"

"Mommy, it’s 10 minutes past 7. We’ll be late for school if we don’t leave now." Keira probed her when she saw Zade and Jesse walking out of the kitchen.

Assuming it was a network problem, she recorded a voicemail for him.

"I have to take the triplets to school. I won’t be at ho today, but just to be safe, I’ll tell the nanny soone will be coming over to take Jett."

Then she dropped the phone on the coffee table and left the apartnt building with the triplets.

anwhile, in the living room of Adler family’s residence, relatives and direct mbers of the family stared stoically at Eric Lance who stood in the middle of the room, his phone on loud speaker.

Jack’s eyes darkened.

Beside him were Craig and Boyce, while a man in a doctor’s lab coat stood behind him.

"No way he’s really pushing forward with that woman. Your grandson has no sha because you pamper him too much." Craig hissed loudly, angrily biting into a red apple.

Boyce, on the other hand, stared up at the redhead woman beside him, grinning and making funny faces with her.

Hearing his father, he paused and scoffed irritably.

"It’s only a matter of the ti before the netizens find out what kind of a man he is. And to think he’s contented with being the father of her bastards. What a stupid man..."

He imdiately trailed off, eyes glimring in disappointnt when he heard the door opening.

Thinking it was Jett, Jack was on the verge of exhaling in relief when he heard a familiar bubbly voice, "Grandfather, sorry I’m late!"

Daniel sauntered into the living room, so n cradling heavy boxes as they trailed behind him.

He made them drop the boxes a corner.

As they left, Craig hissed, "One brother makes money and the other spends. How great."

Daniel chuckled, "At least one of us makes money for the other to spend."

Craig’s face turned ugly and he parted his lip to retort when Jack beat him to it, "Daniel, where’s your brother?"

Daniel was taken aback, his eyes darting around the place in search of Jett.

He wasn’t here?

When he woke up this morning and didn’t see him, he just assud Jett had gotten up and left early like usual, but he really wasn’t here?

That darn punk.

If he didn’t plan to co, the least he could do was warn him.

But on a second thought, it wasn’t unlike his big brother to do sothing like this and not share it with him.

Without thinking twice, he took out his phone to call the police when Craig’s next question filtered into his ears.

"Do you know he’s in the apartnt of that woman with three children he’s seeing?"

His eyes instantly shot up and he promptly ended the call which had just connected.

He glanced at Eric.

Seeing how he had his eyes lowered to the floor, he realized Craig wasn’t making it up to ss with him.

While all he wanted to do was applaud Jett, he kept his emotions in check and grimaced, feigning surprise.

Slipping his phone into his pocket, he cleared his throat and stepped toward Jack.

"Is that why you’re frowning so hard? Do you think Jett would ever think anything to disappoint you? I an, when has he ever?"

"Forgive for butting in, Elderly Mr. Adler, but that must be the reason he’s this strong-headed and intent on rebelling."

Boyce gritted his teeth, "That crazy bastard. If he thinks we’ll stand by and let him bring ho such a woman, he’s greatly mistaken."

Daniel frowned and glanced toward the direction of the first voice.

Looking at the redhead woman he had never seen before, he grimaced.

"Who the hell are you?"

The words were yet out of his mouth when Boyce glared hard at him, "That is no way to talk to your sister-in-law!"

Perplexed, Daniel pursed his lips, "Sister-in-law? Since when?"

However, Jack sat up and lifted his chin to stare into Daniel’s eyes, "You’re close with Dr. Sutton. Have you spoken to her ever since she left the hospital?"

"Left the hospital? She left the hospital? When did that happen?" Daniel was rendered speechless.

Behind them, Craig’s ears ticked at the na.

"Dr. Sutton? By any chance, do you an Kelsie Sutton?"

Jack’s brows furrowed into a frown as he turned to him, "Yes, why? Do you know her too?"

The corners of Craig’s lips twitched.

"By any chance, is she the woman you’re hoping to set Jett up with?"

Daniel gasped, eyes bulging in surprise as he repeated, "She is? How is it I never knew of this?"

Both n didn’t bother with him anymore.

While Jack fell deep into thought, Craig watched him with eager eyes.

A mont later, Jack bobbed his head in agreent, "She is. She was my doctor at Haven dical Center until she quit yesterday."

At this, Craig didn’t bother to his excitent and cackled.

"Father, Kelsie Sutton is the woman with three children Jett has been seeing."
