Ji Yu had already deeply influenced their affairs.

Song Xuan, on the other hand, held imnse hatred toward her previous costic surgeon. "Xiao, can you help deal with that plastic surgeon? If it weren’t for him, how could my face end up like this?"

Tears glead in her eyes, as though this incident had dealt her a trendous blow.

"Calm down first. This might not be the way you think. So materials are things you inherently cannot use. I’ll thoroughly investigate the matter."

Gu Qixiao didn’t like investigating people on a whim, but since Song Xuan was this furious, he couldn’t avoid putting on a show.

"Xiao, I don’t want to be discharged so quickly. My face hasn’t healed yet. What if sothing goes wrong later?"

Though she didn’t like Ji Yu, she knew Ji Yu was at least competent. For now, Ji Yu was the only one who could treat her face.

Gu Qixiao, irked by her constant pestering, understood she was right. "Then you must promise there won’t be any more actions like this after."

He was frustrated by the things Song Xuan did but was powerless to do anything about them.

This matter had always been his responsibility.

Seeing Gu Qixiao agree, Song Xuan broke into a joyful smile.

The following ti was relatively calm, with no further outbursts of temper.

Ji Yu, on Gu Qixiao’s behalf, didn’t flat-out order them to leave.

"Doctor Ji, my face seems to hurt a bit. Could you check if I need to change my dication?"

It wasn’t yet the ti for a change; Ji Yu certainly wasn’t about to adjust her treatnt on a whim. "In your condition, you’ll improve over ti. But if we remove the gauze on your face too soon, it could lead to permanent disfigurent. Are you willing to take that risk?"

This statent directly hit Song Xuan’s sore spot.

She cared most about her face—how could she casually take risks with it?

"That’s not what I ant."

Seeing Ji Yu’s attitude, she felt increasingly frustrated.

"Doctor Ji, once my face is fully repaired, can I continue doing projects?"

She wanted to transform herself into a beauty like Ji Yu.

But Ji Yu was sowhat incredulous. "You’re not afraid of ending up like before? I’ve already told you to be cautious with projects. Many things aren’t suitable for you."

After experiencing such incidents, daring to continue was a bold move indeed.

"Can I have you as the lead surgeon this ti? I just want to look better. You understand, don’t you? Xiao and I are bound to get married; I want to look prettier to match him better."

So, they were already planning marriage.

Ji Yu’s hand holding the dication paused briefly before lowering her eyes to conceal her turbulent thoughts.

"Soone who truly loves you wouldn’t care about the way your face looks." For him, the chance of this being true was minimal.

Recalling what Gu Qixiao had done for Song Xuan before, Ji Yu kept her thoughts to herself.

"Although I trust Xiao will treat well, I still want to look prettier."

Her eyes carried an expectation of a blissful marriage, as though their union was inevitable.

Ji Yu’s emotions were complex—it was unclear what kind of feelings stirred within her. She should have been indifferent to these matters.

"Do as you wish, but I won’t perform plastic surgery for you. What I do is repair work."

She only hoped to return people suffering from issues to a state of normalcy. Costic surgery? They had to decide for themselves.

Of course, Ji Yu didn’t support such practices; she had made this clear in the past. If they chose not to listen, it was their problem.

"Doctor Ji, you must agree that Xiao treats well, right?"

"Mm." Ji Yu’s hands continued moving as she finally wrapped up her work.

When she left, she didn’t glance at Song Xuan’s face, as if the matter had no impact on her at all.

However, she ended up bumping into Gu Qixiao at the doorway on her way out.

Seeing Ji Yu, Gu Qixiao’s gaze carried a hint of amusent. "Doctor Ji, thank you for everything during this ti."

He worried about Ji Yu being overly fatigued and had prepared so snacks for her.

But recalling his past scummy behavior, Ji Yu had lost her appetite for anything he offered long ago.

"Sorry, I don’t like sweets."

Saying this, she turned away without hesitation and left directly.

Gu Qixiao’s hand, holding the container of snacks, hung frozen in the air, his expression showing blatant disappointnt.

Not far away, Song Xuan saw everything unfold. Her jealousy burned, almost impossible to suppress.

"Xiao, why are you still standing at the door?"

She was intent on figuring out what made Ji Yu so capable of pulling Gu Qixiao’s attention.

Gu Qixiao turned his gaze back, placing the snack box on the table. But he didn’t ultimately offer those snacks to Song Xuan.

"Xiao, weren’t these for ?"

"Doctor Ji has taken such good care of you; these are a gift of thanks for her." He replied without raising his head.

But Song Xuan easily noticed Gu Qixiao’s strange expression just now.

Sothing had definitely transpired between them—how could there be such a change otherwise?

"Xiao, I feel like eating sothing sweet. Could you give these to ?"

Sweetly coaxing him, she wanted Gu Qixiao to hand over the snacks.

But Gu Qixiao frowned and rejected her. "These are for Doctor Ji. If you want snacks, there are more in the food container."

Yet what she wanted wasn’t rely snacks.

Although Song Xuan didn’t say much outright, she had already deeply ingrained this matter in her heart.

Her dislike for Ji Yu grew even stronger; she now considered Ji Yu a conniving seductress vying for Gu Qixiao’s attention.

The next ti she encountered Ji Yu, her deanor was overtly arrogant. "Doctor Ji, this hospital bed of yours seems problematic. I woke up with arm pain from sleeping on it last night. Can you change it for ?"

This was the first ti Ji Yu had heard such a petty request.

"Our hospital doesn’t provide such services. I already warned you last ti when you made a fuss. If you stir up trouble again, you’ll have to leave; we don’t welco such patients here."

There should be at least a minimum level of respect.

"Performing surgery on you doesn’t obligate to anything. The surgery fees you pay are what I deserve, and if you want to create problems, then just go ho. That way, you won’t feel uneasy seeing ."

Ji Yu acted as though she only had her best interests in mind, yet Song Xuan felt the underlying sarcasm in her words.

"Doctor Ji, this isn’t appropriate. Even if you are interested in Xiao, you shouldn’t speak to like this."

Looking pitifully at Ji Yu, Song Xuan saw through their interactions as if she already knew everything between them.

Ji Yu, though, couldn’t help but recall what Gu Qixiao had previously said to Granny Li. Knowing his insincerity, why did she keep dwelling on it?

"I don’t like Gu Qixiao, nor will there ever be anything between us. The person you cherish might not an the sa to others."
