Ji Yu couldn’t understand what was wrong with herself.
No matter how she looked at Gu Qixiao, things shouldn’t have turned out this way.
"Gu Qixiao, you should take a good rest. I think you might truly be overworked or perhaps overthinking things, which is why this is happening to you."
Gu Qixiao looked at Ji Yu and understood the aning behind her words.
"I get what you an, but Yu, do you know why I feel this way? It’s because I just can’t bear to let you go."
He really couldn’t bear to see Ji Yu leave like this.
Their relationship shouldn’t be so fragile.
"Gu Qixiao, even if you keep behaving like this, you’ll only create more barriers between us." She spoke gently, not wanting to upset Gu Qixiao.
Gu Qixiao studied her expression and guessed what Ji Yu was thinking. It was clear she found his behavior frustrating.
"I know you dislike the way I’m acting. I’ve tried my best to suppress it, but when I see you standing with Wu Zeyu, my heart begins to panic."
He didn’t understand why he felt this way, but seeing Ji Yu always triggered his fear of losing her.
"I know you might think I’m going crazy, but sotis my instincts are so sharp that I can’t help but suspect he has other intentions toward you."
"He probably does, but right now we’re just partners. How could I ever do sothing so disgraceful?" Ji Yu prided herself on having boundaries.
Since she had promised Gu Qixiao before, there was no way she would entertain other thoughts.
Gu Qixiao also knew he shouldn’t think this way, as his thoughts would only make Ji Yu angry.
Yet, when he saw Ji Yu’s expression, he couldn’t stop replaying the earlier scene in his mind.
"Yu, if this incident makes you start to hate , I don’t think I could take it."
"How could I hate you? This isn’t what you’re imagining." Ji Yu looked at him helplessly, like a patient adult dealing with a childish tantrum.
He understood what Ji Yu truly needed at that mont.
"Yu, I love you. I just don’t want to lose you. I know you don’t want to regain my mories, but you keep appearing in my dreams. Even if I can’t recall what those scenes look like in detail, I still rember that I love you."
He would always rember his love for Ji Yu.
Ji Yu took a deep breath, thinking how ssed up the situation had beco.
"Gu Qixiao, have you really thought this through? Do you know what the consequences of your actions are?" Anyone else in such circumstances would have run away long ago, but Gu Qixiao was determined to rember.
Doing so might literally cost him his life.
"Yu, how could I not understand what you ant? I just don’t want to lose you. Losing you is the sa as losing my life."
He gazed at Ji Yu with eyes full of longing.
It had been far too long since he’d talked sincerely with Ji Yu about these matters.
"You don’t have to stay with , but you absolutely can’t abandon our relationship." Gu Qixiao’s voice carried a hint of pleading.
Ji Yu finally fell silent. She knew this situation was causing Gu Qixiao pain, even if it was just a psychological wound.
With that, the two of them headed to the hospital together.
The doctor, upon seeing them, couldn’t help but feel helpless. They had already conducted a full examination on Gu Qixiao before, but the results were far from what anyone expected.
"Miss Ji, Mr. Gu doesn’t seem to have any physical issues. If you’re truly worried, perhaps you should consider whether he’s been under a severe ntal strain lately."
They had verified countless tis before, each ti doubting whether their equipnt was faulty.
Ji Yu wasn’t surprised by the doctor’s words; she had already guessed it might turn out this way.
"I understand what you’re saying, but Gu Qixiao’s condition seems off. I need a psychologist, and I want to analyze the substances in his bloodstream to figure out what’s going on."
She didn’t want to waste any more ti.
The dications in his bloodstream needed to be thoroughly investigated.
As Ji Yu wore her determined expression, Gu Qixiao obediently followed her, as if staying close to her would ensure their relationship remained solid.
"I realize my recent behavior has been awful. From now on, whatever you want to do, I’ll do exactly as you say."
Though Gu Qixiao had his reservations about seeing a psychologist.
After all, the trustworthiness of psychologists couldn’t be guaranteed.
"If there’s anything you feel uncomfortable with, you should tell us. Look at your current state—you don’t think it’s reasonable to accept treatnt by now?"
She still hoped Gu Qixiao could recover properly. Previous examinations had confird the severity of the issue.
"Yu, I’ll do as you say, and I’ll calm down. But I beg you not to et Wu Zeyu. I have a strong feeling he’s trouble."
Gu Qixiao trusted his intuition.
The situation was already dire; he couldn’t allow them to grow closer.
It wasn’t about not trusting Ji Yu—it was about not trusting Wu Zeyu.
"Gu Qixiao, why are you still fixated on Wu Zeyu? Was this your first ti eting him? Why would you think this way?"
Their initial encounter didn’t seem notable.
Although Wu Zeyu’s behavior earlier had been sowhat ambiguous, it didn’t seem like he harbored genuine feelings.
Even Ji Yu couldn’t figure out what was up with Gu Qixiao.
"My instincts tell he’s definitely problematic. I can’t bring myself to trust him in this situation."
Gu Qixiao didn’t care if speaking openly seed embarrassing.
To him, Ji Yu was his most treasured person.
Faced with such circumstances, he was determined to protect her.
Ji Yu looked at him, suddenly feeling a bit helpless. "Fine, I can temporarily go along with what you’re saying. For now, stay put and don’t go anywhere. I’ll accompany you for a full-body examination. Together we’ll figure out how to handle the coming issues."
She had done everything in her power to ensure Gu Qixiao’s needs were t, but he still hesitated.
"You don’t have any other demands, do you?"
