The issues in their relationship should be addressed actively. Avoiding them would only bring pain to both parties.
"Look at the way you are now. Do you really think being together will bring any benefits?"
If they had communicated properly just a bit, things wouldn’t have turned out like this.
"You should take the ti to talk to her properly. Her emotions aren’t great right now either. Only by resolving this can you both truly move on."
Isn’t this how relationships work? If you can love openly and honestly, then do so. If not, just break up right away.
"Rejecting her isn’t all that difficult either."
Ji Yuanzhou sighed in frustration. "You make it sound so easy. I still have feelings in my heart; I just don’t know how to handle this. Why don’t you help figure it out?"
"My advice is for the two of you to break up imdiately. Don’t drag each other down." Ji Yu was always decisive and clean-cut when it ca to matters of love.
If things are dragged out to the bitter end, the only result is that both people beco enemies.
"Oh, by the way, I’ve decided to move in with Gu Qixiao." In the end, she had made her decision.
"Why so suddenly?" Ji Yuanzhou, if he rembered correctly, thought that they weren’t married yet.
"We plan to get married after the baby is born." She understood all too well how eager Gu Qixiao was to solidify their relationship.
It was almost funny. It was her first ti seeing a man so anxious to claim his status.
But these things didn’t seem that important.
At least for now, it seed like the two of them could still work things out properly.
After Ji Yu agreed to move in with Gu Qixiao, Gu Qixiao exerted enormous effort redecorating the room over and over again, worried that Ji Yu might not like it.
In truth, Ji Yu wasn’t picky about these things.
"Why is this room all pink and girly? Don’t tell you plan to stay here with ?"
For the first ti, Gu Qixiao looked a little embarrassed.
"I can’t stay with you. I’m afraid I won’t be able to control myself, so I’m leaving this room entirely to you."
He quickly added, fearing Ji Yu might misunderstand, "I’ll be right next door. If you need anything, just call . If you get thirsty at night, you can knock on my door."
Since he promised to take care of Ji Yu, he was determined to stay by her side.
Ji Yu felt he was exaggerating a bit.
"Don’t worry, I can take care of myself. Staying here is just to put your mind at ease."
Their relationship always had this peculiar kind of charm.
"No way. Since I’m the father of this child, I have the responsibility of caring for it. Plus, you’re my fiancée. How could I not take care of you?"
On this matter, he was unwavering, insisting that he had a role to play in looking after the child.
Ji Yu couldn’t resist laughing at his serious expression.
"Alright then. But at night, don’t complain about being annoying. Because of the pregnancy, I tend to wake up frequently."
She also planned to use this opportunity to observe Gu Qixiao’s character closely. If he turned out to have poor character, there would be no need for them to stay together. After the baby was born, she could raise it on her own.
"Don’t worry, Yu. If you call at night, I’ll be there."
That night, Ji Yu got thirsty and knocked on his door.
Gu Qixiao rushed to the door, visibly anxious.
"What’s wrong, Yu? Are you feeling unwell?"
He looked utterly tense, showing no trace of impatience.
"It’s nothing. I’m just thirsty. Can you take to get so water? I don’t know where your kitchen is."
At night, she not only woke frequently but also often felt thirsty.
Gu Qixiao quickly went downstairs to fetch her a glass of water.
"Go back to bed and lie down."
He took such ticulous care of Ji Yu that eventually he decided to just sleep next to her.
"Yu, if you need anything at all, just call . I promise, the mont you say sothing, I’ll wake up."
Instead of sleeping on the bed, he chose the couch nearby.
It wasn’t that he feared Ji Yu might do sothing; he was afraid he might lose control.
Ji Yu couldn’t hold back her laughter at his behavior.
"Don’t worry. I’m fine. Get so proper sleep. I won’t bother you anymore."
In truth, Ji Yu had concerns. She was afraid he might turn out to be soone who behaved flawlessly before marriage but terribly after. This was the ultimate test of patience.
The next morning, when she woke up, she saw Gu Qixiao downstairs having breakfast.
"Why didn’t you sleep in a little longer? I have to go to the office later, so I won’t be able to spend ti with you during the day. I’ll co back to you tonight."
He looked regretful about it, clearly unwilling to leave just like that.
But Ji Yu thought work was more important.
"We’re living together now. You can handle whatever you need to, as long as we can et at night."
She also wanted to take so ti to familiarize herself with this house.
"The key is to take Yu around the house and let everyone recognize her." To Gu Qixiao, Ji Yu was already the future mistress of this ho.
After watching him leave, Ji Yu followed the housekeeper and began exploring the villa.
"Housekeeper, who’s that?" A delicate voice ca from behind. Ji Yu turned around and saw a strikingly dressed maid.
"This is President Gu’s wife."
The maid’s face changed imdiately, clearly unsettled by this revelation.
"When did President Gu get a wife? You must be mistaken. You should know perfectly well how President Gu feels about won."
Her disbelief was evident, and she seed eager for Ji Yu to leave.
"Qi Yao, what’s wrong with you? President Gu personally instructed us. This is Mrs. Gu. If you dare disrespect her, President Gu will deal with you himself."
The housekeeper, aware of how well Gu Qixiao treated Ji Yu, wouldn’t dare say anything unbecoming.
"That’s impossible. There’s no way President Gu would have a wife so soon. And wasn’t there soone else before? A confidant who was always by his side? Why would he suddenly bring soone new in?"
"A confidant?" Ji Yu suddenly felt curious about who this confidant might be.
"Not exactly a confidant. She’s the sister of Mr. Gu’s savior, Miss Song."
The housekeeper spoke cautiously, clearly aware that this na had beco a taboo in the villa.
