To be honest, situations like this can really drive people crazy.
Ji Yu didn’t want to get involved in the first place, but the other party kept pushing her limits. In that case, she had no choice but to use other thods to deal with them.
"Ladies and gentlen, please calm down. This is a place of business, and other custors might want to co in and browse. Could we take this outside to talk, please?"
The manager felt like his head was splitting. He couldn’t even figure out why this person was so consud with fury.
"Why should I take this outside? It’s these two little bitches who went looking for trouble with first! If you don’t kick them out, I’m not letting this go!"
She continued to act aggressively and domineeringly.
Cai Xun had already anticipated what would happen and looked utterly helpless.
"Those two have nothing to do with , and they both have powerful backers. If you keep this up, you’re bound to offend the people supporting them."
Being a kept man was already sothing shaful, and now, finding himself in this situation, he felt even more humiliated.
Ji Yu sneered as she watched him; his words didn’t elicit any reaction from her.
"Cai Xun, if you’re still a man, get her out of here. We don’t want to start trouble, but if she keeps pushing, don’t bla us for what happens."
Feng Qinqin looked at him with complete disdain now. She thought he was a coward, and considering what he did in the past, any hope for a relationship between them was long gone.
Cai Xun had hoped to use this opportunity to rekindle sothing, but evidently, that wasn’t happening.
"We don’t an anything by this. Please, just don’t do this."
But the situation was already spiraling out of control, and the woman felt convinced they were intentionally provoking her.
When Madam Ji arrived on the scene, this was exactly what she walked into. How could she not be upset?
"I’d like to see who dares bully my daughter." She had planned to spend a pleasant day shopping with the girls, but clearly, this needed to be dealt with first.
The woman seed to recognize her and appeared slightly less confrontational.

Madam Ji, who also knew Cai Xun, gave him a contemptuous look. "Our Yu has nothing to do with you, and Qinqin as well—she’s through with you. Why are you still trying to stay relevant in their lives?"
A man like this should just be tossed aside. What’s the point in dwelling on soone like him?
"If you’re here to cause trouble, we’ll gladly play along." Madam Ji stood protectively in front of them, firm and resolute.
The woman seed to rember Madam Ji’s background, and her arrogance faltered. She could only glare resentfully at the two younger won before leaving in a huff.
And with that, the ridiculous scene finally ca to an end.
Cai Xun, on the other hand, looked utterly embarrassed, and when the woman left, she didn’t so much as glance back at him.
Both Ji Yu and Feng Qinqin felt nothing but disgust towards him. He deserved no sympathy or pity.
"I’m sorry. What happened in the past was entirely my fault. I’ve thought it through now. Qinqin, can you give another chance?"
He genuinely regretted everything. If he’d known things would turn out like this, he never would’ve gone after Feng Qinqin’s business back then.
Feng Qinqin found his plea laughable.
"Do you think an apology is enough to erase what you did? Do you even realize you nearly bankrupted my family? Don’t you think you should ntion that?" Back then, the situation was dire. If Gu Qixiao hadn’t chosen to cooperate with her family at the last minute, the Feng family would’ve suffered massive losses.
"What, do you think you’re so hot commodity I’ve been waiting around for?"
Their relationship had ended long ago. Right now, this could only evoke even more revulsion.
He opened his mouth as if to say sothing more, but ultimately swallowed it back.
"I’m sorry. I really know I was wrong. No matter what, I’ll make it up to you for what happened."
But they didn’t need his so-called compensation.
Madam Ji wasn’t about to let him drag this on any longer. She said coldly, "If you’re so aware of how you wronged Qinqin, then do her a favor and stop appearing in front of her. Your presence only disgusts her further."
She wasn’t defending her daughter for the sake of it—this was just the truth of the matter.
An ex should behave like they’re dead and buried.
"There’s nothing worth saying to soone like him. Let’s go find sothing fun to do instead."
They’d rarely had a chance to hang out together, and they weren’t about to let this pathetic excuse for a man ruin their day.
When Feng Qinqin left, she didn’t look back at all, leaving Cai Xun standing there, his face full of disappointnt. He had hoped to use this as an opportunity to win her back.
Thinking of the older woman he was now tied to made him feel queasy, but he had no choice. Without her, he couldn’t maintain his current lavish lifestyle.
Feng Qinqin’s mood remained sour for the rest of the day. Running into an ex, especially in such a terrible context, was bound to leave a bad taste.
"Qinqin, if you’re still upset, we can go back and beat him up. Honestly, it’s his fault anyway. If we hit him, it wouldn’t be unjustified." Ji Yu had no sympathy for soone like him. Since he’d chosen to be kept, he should’ve been ready for the consequences.
"No need. There’s nothing between us anymore. Even if we went back to beat him up, who knows how much he’d try to drag it out afterward." Feng Qinqin had already co to terms with everything about their past relationship.
Liking soone like him would’ve been humiliating. She was much better off now.
"I don’t even know why, but my mood’s just terrible right now. It’s not that I have lingering feelings for him—I just don’t understand why soone like that had to show up in front of at all."
What they had was long over. There was nothing worth dwelling on.
"You’re just too fixated on things like this," Ji Yu said, unsure what else to say. The situation was indeed irritating.
"Forget it. There’s no point wasting energy on this. Let him do whatever he wants—it has nothing to do with ."
Past events had already drifted away with the wind.
