She usually has lasting impressions of those she’s close to, but sohow, this person left nothing with her.

However, since Madam Ji had spoken, Ji Yu had to show respect. "Cousin, how do you have ti to visit us at ho?"

"I’ve been busy with so work matters recently and thought I’d co to see Uncle and Aunt after wrapping up."

She ca across as flawless, but Ji Yu didn’t have any good feelings toward her.

"Lin, that’s very thoughtful of you. Since you’ll be staying here for a while, let Ji Yu show you around."

It seed this matter was ant to fall on Ji Yu’s shoulders.

Because Madam Ji was present, Ji Yu could only nod. "Mom, don’t worry. I’ll make the arrangents."

Seeing how harmonious the two of them appeared, Madam Ji stood to prepare dinner in the kitchen.

Ji Lin, however, grew more curious when she observed Ji Yu’s composed expression. Did she truly not rember, or was she pretending?

"Yu, you aren’t as fun as you used to be after growing up," she said wistfully, as if recalling a fond and amusing mory.

"Oh? Cousin, do you still enjoy the gas we played as kids? I can oblige," Ji Yu said, her gaze toward Ji Lin laced with sarcasm. "But I’m afraid those tricks might not work anymore."

She had no idea why Ji Lin had co this ti, but this cousin was never one to make an effort unless there was sothing in it for her. Who knew what her real motive was?

"Yu, what kind of attitude is that? I just wanted to catch up," Ji Lin said.

This ti, Ji Yu didn’t respond and instead focused on the roster in her hands.

Tian’s skills were getting more refined by the day. It was probably ti to train another person and set up a rotation schedule.

When Ji Yuanzhou returned and saw an extra person on the couch, he was visibly surprised. "Who’s this?"

"Yuanyou, do you not recognize ? I’m heartbroken!" Ji Lin exclaid exaggeratedly, as if Ji Yuanzhou’s question had deeply hurt her.

Ji Yuanzhou frowned, gradually recalling his mories of Ji Lin. But it was clear he wasn’t particularly glad to see her. "What are you doing here?"

He instinctively sat between Ji Yu and Ji Lin, the protective gesture unmistakable.

Ji Lin studied him with a aningful smile. "I’m naturally here to visit you all. After all these years, Yuanyou, you haven’t changed a bit."

She had long known that the bond between these two was more than ordinary.

"But I do have sothing to discuss with Yu."

Given how she phrased it, it was unlikely to be a trivial matter. Ji Yu showed a trace of disdain. "If there’s sothing, just say it outright. Why play gas? I’m not fond of such conversations."

Ji Lin had always liked using such tactics. Clearly, so people never changed with ti.

Ji Lin lifted the corners of her lips in a confident smile. "In fact, this project of mine is linked to the Gu family. I heard that you and President Gu are on fairly good terms, so I wanted to ask for your help making an introduction."

So, it turned out she had her eyes on Gu Qixiao.

Thinking about the rumors surrounding the two of them recently, Ji Yu finally understood why Ji Lin had co looking for her.

"I don’t discuss business matters with him. If you want to collaborate with him, you can reach out to him directly."

She had no desire to get involved in such matters.

Besides, who knew whether Ji Lin’s plan was genuinely sound or just another scam?

Ji Yu had always been perceptive.

"Yu, this project is sowhat complicated. I need to explain it to President Gu in person. Why don’t you help introduce ? Don’t worry, I’m sure President Gu will be interested."

Her confident smile suggested she was certain of herself.

"If you’re so sure he’ll be interested, you can schedule a eting with him at his office anyti. Why co to ?"

Ji Yu flatly refused.

Besides, Gu Qixiao had just told her he was busy today. Stirring up these matters now would only annoy him, wouldn’t it?

"Yu, we’re family. Don’t be so distant. I’ve heard that President Gu is pursuing you. Helping with this project shouldn’t be too hard for you, right?"

As she spoke, Ji Lin subtly pushed Ji Yu’s glass aside and tried to maneuver past Ji Yuanzhou to get closer to Ji Yu.

But Ji Yuanzhou sat like a mountain, unwavering in his seat beside Ji Yu. No matter how much Ji Lin tried, she couldn’t get around him to Ji Yu.

"If Yu says no, then stop with these sches. You really think everyone else is clueless?"

If she truly had the ability, fine. But if things went poorly, wouldn’t Ji Yu be the one embarrassed?

Ji Yuanzhou was steadfastly on Ji Yu’s side. "And don’t go making trouble. Even if you run to my parents about this, they won’t agree to it."

Ji Yu quietly sipped her tea beside them. She didn’t even need to say a word to fend Ji Lin off.

"Brother, no need to say so much. I’ve already made it clear there’s nothing to discuss when I’ve refused," Ji Yu stated firmly.

Her stance had been evident the entire ti.

Ji Lin had no words to counter for the mont. She could only glare at Ji Yu hatefully, her resentnt deepening.

During dinner, she kept trying to bring it up again.

"You’re looking to collaborate with Gu? The quality of the project matters most. Besides, there’s no guarantee anything will work out between Yu and Gu, so it’s best if you handle this yourself."

The Ji parents felt the sa and straightforwardly refused her.

Ji Yu chuckled lightly. "Cousin, in business, it’s better to focus on honest efforts instead of these shortcuts."

As she spoke, she looked at the people around her and suddenly felt lucky to have so much support.

Ji Lin’s smile faltered slightly, but with others present, she had to keep her composure.

It was safe to say Ji Lin was the only one who didn’t enjoy the al.

Yet, to her credit, she sohow managed to stay the night at the Ji house.

The next morning, Ji Yu was surprised to see her again.

"Yu, are you heading to the hospital? I’ve heard your hospital has a great reputation. Mind if I tag along to have a look?"

Ji Lin seed curious about Ji Yu’s hospital and wanted to see what made it so special.

Ji Yu smiled, but her words were a polite refusal. "I’m sorry, but I’m quite busy today. I probably can’t take you along."

After all, she had work to do. Ji Lin couldn’t possibly expect her to ditch work for her, right?

"That’s fine. I can just watch from the sidelines. I was thinking about arranging a donation project for your hospital," Ji Lin said.

For a hospital like Ji Yu’s, charitable donations were common. But whether Ji Lin would truly donate was another matter.

Since Ji Lin had brought it up, Ji Yu had no choice but to agree.

"Great, then I’ll leave you to handle the donation, Cousin," Ji Yu said calmly.

She didn’t believe Ji Lin would visit and leave without spending a single cent.
