Tarkan's eyes widened. The poisonous spit was faster than he expected.

He dove to the side, narrowly avoiding a glob that sizzled as it hit a nearby tree trunk.

Another glob ca from his left, He ducked and rolled, heart pounding.

These creatures were no joke, even with a low threat level, their coordinated assault made them dangerous if underestimated.

Regaining his footing, Tarkan wasn't foolish enough to fight them in a group.

They were capable of ranged attacks, and if he stayed to fight, he would only be courting death.

Grabbing the dead frog he had killed, Tarkan did what any sane person would do.

He ran as fast as his legs could possibly carry him.

To his relief, the frogs unlike the vengeful boars stopped at a junction, clearly not wanting to leave their territory.

Turning and seeing that he had lost track of the frogs, he imdiately found a secluded area and set down the corpse in his hand.

He gathered wood to roast the frog, a disgusted look on his face.

The idea of eating frog at repulsed him. The texture, the sll, it all turned his stomach.

But he had no choice because, that was the only way to get stronger in the first dinsion which is by consuming monsters.

After gathering enough wood and making a fire, he roasted the frog

Then, he ate it

And just as he was eating it, there was a change in his panel.

Feral: 1

Awakened: 0

Crowned: 0

Based on the information he had recently learned from the comprehensive beginner manual provided by the Terra Association, in order to pass the first dinsion and evolve to the second dinsion, it was required to max out at least one of the three pri points.

But it wasn't recomnded to evolve with just one maxed pri point.

Even if one chose not to evolve to the second dinsion, the more pri points soone gained, the stronger their body would beco.

And if one maxed out all three Feral, Awakened, and Crowned, their physical condition would be far beyond average, even without evolution.

Licking his lips, Tarkan was surprised. The at was sweet and tender, nothing like what he imagined

Feral: 4

Awakened: 0

Crowned: 0

Checking his points, he saw the feral pri points had increased by another three, signifying that the frogs could only give four feral points. Which also confird that the frog he had killed was a feral-tier creature.

Getting up from the fire camp, Tarkan headed back to the swamp to hunt more frogs.

Targeting another frog, he used the sa tactics as before.

It worked perfectly without any hiccups. The other frogs began croaking louder, alerting the rest of the group of the intruder.

They launched their attack again.

But Tarkan, giving them no chance, grabbed the new corpse and ran once more.

As expected, the frogs stopped at the boundary of their territory and returned.

Tarkan roasted the frog's corpse and enjoyed it, adding to his pri points.

Feral: 8

Awakened: 0

Crowned: 0

After enjoying the frog at, he went back, pulling the sa stunt again and again without any mishaps.

But eventually, a problem arose.

Feral: 24

Awakened: 0

Crowned: 0

The frogs were as dumb as they looked. Tarkan had used the sa tactic repeatedly, and they still went back to their routines after a short while.

After eating dozens upon dozens of frogs using that sa trick, he noticed the pri point gains had started to decrease.

From 4 points, they dropped to 3. Then to 2. Then just 1.

This was the second frog he had eaten with no increase in pri points at all.

After he finished eating the third one with no increase whatsoever, he couldn't help feeling disappointed.

He had been planning to max out his feral points, but it now seed that was just his wishful thinking.

Grabbing another roasted frog and taking a bite, Tarkan found himself enjoying the leg at even though there was no increase.

Then suddenly he heard footsteps.

They were coming from all around him.

He quickly stood up, every muscle in his body tensed.

The sound grew louder, more distinct. Within monts, a group of teenagers with various weapons erged and imdiately ford a circle, with Tarkan at the center.

Clearly targeting him.

Seeing the way he was surrounded, there was no panic or fear on his face.

He knew such emotions were of no use in this situation.

Just as he was about to say sothing, the group opened up a path.

Soone stepped forward, moving toward where Tarkan stood.

"You filthy lowborn… dared to lay hands on ?"

"…Cassian," Tarkan muttered slowly, eyes narrowing.
