"What do you think you’re doing?!"
A young man held his spear pointed forward as he scread those words.
Just beside him, a girl and another boy who seed about the sa age as him were also alerted…
This commotion happened because of a young man… well, not as young as the three standing guard in front of the house.
He had tanned skin, and his eyes were covered by a pair of black sunglasses.
His black hair fell on his glasses and his neck, and his loose clothes made him seem like a normal person in casual wear.
The young man pinched the side of his sunglasses and slowly slid them off to take a good look at the boy in front of him.
He was young but he looked pretty trained, his body was definitely far from what it should have been at his age…
He was really good, almost at the sa level as so of Hans’ students…
He had beco kind of accustod to evaluating the talent of everyone he t after becoming a teacher, and this ti too… a few words slipped out of his mouth…
"Not bad"
He spoke in English… but the person in front of him continued shouting at him in another language…
’I was in a hurry and forgot to bring a translator…. Don’t they teach kids English anymore?…
I guess there would be no use in doing that anymore…’
"The reason why you’re guarding this place is probably so just let in alright?"
Hans tried to convince the group but none of the three could understand a single word that ca out of his mouth.
Instead, they continued to yell at him in their language as they pointed their weapons.
’This is getting annoying’
Hans thought.
’I get that they’re doing a favor by guarding this place, but didn’t they tell anyone about ?’
Hans was quite shocked at the unprofessionality of the Greece Association Branches, they couldn’t even explain the mission to their subordinates?…
’Should I just break my way in? It would certainly be easy but it might cause trouble for these guys…
Whatever… should I just-
"Please wait!!"
’Finally!’
Hans thought as he turned his head to look at whoever was speaking to him in English.
He saw a woman and two youngsters, and while he had no clue about who those two might have been, it wasn’t the sa for the woman…
After all, she was…
"The healer?"
Hans asked quite surprised.
In response to his greeting, the boy received an empty stare from the young woman, she couldn’t believe there was soone in the awakened world who didn’t know about her… world priest ranking’s n°1…
Eleni Christou.
But… thinking about it, for soone as strong as the boy standing in front of her, not caring about others might have been the norm.
"I apologize for the disrespect these guys have shown you, please, take what you’ve co here to take"
Eleni showed the way to her house with her arm as she slightly bowed.
Why did she do it?… she just did it on impulse… whoever it is, weak or strong, old or young, tends to show respect when faced with a power many tis stronger than theirs… almost as if to avoid being preyed upon.
Hans watched the woman with doubtful eyes for a few seconds, and no one else spoke in the anti, making her nervous and worried, but fortunately, Hans soon spoke, and he said:
"Don’t worry about it, the only reason why they’re here anyway is to guard Ember, so it doesn’t matter if they make a little mistake"
Hans’s reply almost prompted the woman to let out a sigh of relief.
Hans passed by the students unbothered as their curious and terrified stares were aid at him.
Elenei… they had t Elenei Christou for the first ti in their lives, and they had seen her bow her head to soone whose na was unknown to them…
In just a few seconds, all the students gathered in front of the entrance, and soon, every one of them was made aware of what had happened…
Just a few seconds after everyone had gathered, two people appeared in the middle of the little crowd:
The physical education and the magic class teachers.
They were respectively an S-tier warrior and a sixth-tier mage, so they were both also very famous and powerful.
The two of them were imdiately flooded with questions…
The students were curious about who that person was… what their business was coming all the way there, and why they had to guard that place just for soone to enter without any challenge.
While she couldn’t care less about the following two, Eleni was also curious about the first one.
However, they didn’t have ti to answer a single question, since the focus of the talk was currently walking towards them after coming out of the house.
His amber-colored eyes seed to stare deeply into one’s soul as one observed them, and adding to that terrifying feeling, a divine-looking pure white snake was wrapped around his arm and shoulders.
He was walking leisurely, but every single one of his steps seed to instill fear…
The two professors of the classes bowed ninety degrees.
"It is an honor to have you here, Mr. Hans"
It had already been shown when Eleni treated him with respect, but now that both their teachers had bowed to him, they were sure of it, the young man standing in front of them was soone of incredible status.
One of the two professors held in his hand a strange device similar to an earbud, and a little microphone with a small radio attached to it.
It was pretty obvious that those were translation devices.
Hans put them on, even though he was curious as to why he would need them now that the matter had been settled.
When he finished putting them on and turning them on, he finally saw the two people standing in front of him open their mouths again:
"Again, we are honored to have you here"
One of them said.
Everyone awaited Hans’s reply, but the boy just said:
"There’s no need for all of this, I just ca here to get my friend"
As he talked, Hans watched the little snake’s eyes, which were staring back at him.
The two of them looked ethereal to the students, and even if not as much, the sa applied to the teachers… while Eleni…
She found it horrifying…
She had seen Hans implode a room with a sole thought… her breathing heaved every ti she thought about it, and being so close to him made this mory even more vivid.
"We wanted to apologize for the inconvenience we caused, these are the cadets of Greece Awakened Academy, and they were out here gaining so field experience, we wanted to show them that sotis they had to follow orders without knowing the reason, we would have inford them about you in an hour or so, but we didn’t expect you to show up this early, so we ended up causing a misunderstanding."
Hans ran his gaze across all the students, every single one of them was staring at him… they must have been curious about why their teachers were showing such respect to a boy just a few years older than them…
They were pretty good but... They couldn’t compare to the Arican students…
’If these are the people they intended to send to participate in the competition… the Greece Academy might co back with a surprise.’
Hans could not help but observe as he read through the status window of all the people around him…
’The teachers aren’t the problem that’s for sure… they’re really talented’
Hans analyzed the black-haired man who kept a solemn expression on his face and the slightly younger blonde man who had just handed him the translation device.
"It’s not a problem, I should thank all of you for keeping my friend safe"
As he spoke, Hans gently petted Ember on the head smiling, and the tense situation that had built up crumbled.
"Now if I may, I have to go, the airport’s first landing strip is blocked because they’re waiting for my departure"
Everyone made way for him as the blonde magic class teacher said:
"Of course, we don’t want to keep you here, have a safe trip"
"Thank you… also, good luck to all of you, we’ll see each other at the competition"
Hans gazed at the students one last ti before walking towards the black car that had accompanied him there.
As they watched the car fade off in the distance, the two teachers and Eleni drew a sigh of relief.
Only one student, the black-haired girl who had first t Eleni, mustered the courage to ask the woman:
"Who… who was that man?"
But she didn’t reply, she herself had no idea, instead, she turned her head towards the magic class teacher, who replied after a few seconds of silence:
"He’s a seventh-class mage who is said to rival the only eighth-tiers in the world, we have received word from the association to treat him with the sa respect we would show one of the leaders, and he is also the youngest person on the planet to beco an high ranking mage…
Not to talk about the fact that he’s taught the Arican magic class’s students for one year.
His na is…
Hans Richter.
