Emma turned around with a devious smile on her face.

"A… sound blocking barrier?"

The three n watched the boy, they thought him to be kinder than the girl, but they had it completely wrong.

"No one heard a peep, and no one will hear a peep even if they were to scream at the top of their lungs again, you can rest assured"

’A sound barrier? I haven’t heard of anything like that before’

The B-rank awakened tied up in front of Hans comnted, but kept it to himself.

"That’s handy, where did you pick that up from?"

Emma asked with a wide smile on her face.

"I just made it on the spot"

Her smile faded as she forced a little laugh:

"Ha…haha, nice"

The eyes of the three people spoke for them:

"Fucking bullshit!"

’What have I gotten myself into?’

One of them thought as he let himself go, and didn’t try to free himself anymore from the rope he was tied with.

Hans watched the man give up and analyzed the ropes on his wrists and ankles.

It was a common (high) grade rope made by intertwining the thread made by the ’spider queen of madness’.

"Hey, you got any more of this stuff? It’s such a sha to waste it on them"

"Don’t worry, I got loads of these.

If you want you can have so"

She answered truthfully.

’Have they caged the spider queen and forced her to make thread or sothing?’

Hans thought, actually considering it a possibility given Emma’s new personality.

"So… I think it’s ti to answer so questions"

Emma crouched and touched the shining edge of her blade as she spoke.

Two minutes later, everything they wanted to know was revealed to them, those three were mbers of a large evil association that resided in Lombardy, the region of Italy in which Milan was situated.

The association took the na of the ’Shadowed Moon’, and even if they were part of the crimson tyranny, they seed to be there of their own decision, simply because their leader had a long-ti grudge against Hans’ grandfather.

’Shadowed moon….? How childish do you have to be to na an organization that way?’

Hans couldn’t help but think.

’I an… the na of the crimson tyranny was made up by the people, but giving themselves nas like that is cringe.

It’s not like it’s a gathering of middle school students, they’re people who kill and kidnap innocent civilians…’

Once she was done with the investigation and the questioning, Emma decided to judge sothing before throwing them into that pit.

"How about we play a ga? You will all tell what your comrades have done, and the most innocent one will have their life spared."

"I-I’ve never done anything evil because I wanted to!"

One imdiately began:

"I was doing this work just because I have a wife waiting for at ho, and our kid needs a lot of money to grow up in this city!"

Hans analyzed his words…

He could feel it without having to read the flying window in front of him…

[this person is lying]

"… on the contrary… our leader is fad for collecting the last scream of the people he kills, he has hundreds, maybe thousands of them!"

Without any hesitation, one of the C-rank decided to sell out their leader, who gazed at him with a glare in his eyes that looked like it could kill.

’Ha…haha, let’s see if you’re going to glare at like that when not even bones are left of you!’

He exclaid in his head.

Hans analyzed and was disgusted to find out…

[this person is telling the truth]

’Collecting screams? What kind of fucking problem does he have?!’

It wasn’t only him, Emma also looked down upon the man with a face of disgust and contempt.

The third man soon joined the conversation:

"They’re both beasts! You have to believe ! They both do not deserve to live!…"

[this person is telling the truth]

Pointing to his fellow C-rank, with his eyes he began speaking:

"He doesn’t have a wife anymore! He used to abuse her both physically and ntally until she decided to kill herself, and the son he is speaking about was never born because he decided to abort it, multiple tis at that, he takes pride in telling that story and laughing about it when he has the chance!!"

[this person is telling the truth]

Hans’s gaze changed even more, it now seed like he was looking at beasts, disgusting worms who did not deserve to live in the sa world as humans.

Imdiately trying to defend himself, the other man replied: "he’s lying! Don’t believe him! He once strangled a child to death in order to enter the association!"

"T-that… I only did that because I was ordered to!…"

"….!!"

The shitshow went on for a bit until Emma took her decision:

"You three… if even only half of what you’ve said is the truth... All deserve a death worse than this…

I told you that I would spare the most innocent out of the three… but what to do… I can’t seem to decide"

In the end, she threw all three of them inside the pit full of disgusting creatures and then closed the trapdoor right above them, still tied, but without tape in their mouths so that the insects could get inside their body, the only thing they could do was scream.

Hans covered the entrance with an anti-sound barrier before leaving with Emma.

"It should only last about four hours I think"

Hans said.

"Doesn’t matter, I’m pretty sure in four hours they’ll have lost the will to even breathe"

Emma said with a serious expression painted on her face, at that mont, from Hans’s point of view, Emma finally looked like the leader of the black market and the trading center.

Emma stopped for a second before muttering:

"It’s strange though…"

"I know what you’re referring to."

Hans said.

"If they managed to find out my identity, they must’ve known that even without any help I could’ve beaten soone at the level of those three… which ans"

"…That they didn’t send them to kill us, but as sacrificial pawns for sothing else.

But… what?"

Hans kindly answered her question:

"Of course… what else if not to track us"

"Mh?!"

Emma’s eyes widened for a second before she could compose herself.

"Ha… I see what you an now… looks like they thought they could do sothing against us if they found our location and ambushed us… what a pity… they simply didn’t know any better"

"May I have the honor?"

Hans asked as if he was asking her hand for a dance in an ironic tone.

"Sure thing mister Hans"

She replied smiling.

Three huge explosions blew up in the vicinities as she said that.

It was Hans’s work…

{fire bomb}(tier-6)

At that mont, all the associations involved in the matter were in an uproar.

Rushing inside the room of the old man, the main director of the Association Surveillance and Investigation team reported:

"A fight has broken out!! Hans Richter is up against one of the three!"

"Which one?"

The hoary old man asked.

"Shadowed moon"

The old man sighed as he heard that…

"As long as it isn’t the faction of the lady of crimson…

Just observe and free the surroundings"

"However… we are afraid Gianfranco might find out about them"

"Gianfranco… huh?… that might be a bit of a problem"

In the anti…

Inside the Italian defense team headquarters…

"What?!"

An aged man with a body that looked like it belonged to a man in his forties stood up and slamd his hands against his wooden desk.

As a result, the desk’s legs snapped in half, and the wooden desktop fell to the ground along with all the papers on it and also the monitor.

Luckily, the PC was stationed on the ground just beside so no damages were dealt to the most expensive part of his equipnt.

The old man got up from his seat and put on his coat before walking out of the room…

"Where are you going?"

Another man, slightly younger and skinnier than him asked.

"If what you’ve said is true, then we must stop the Crimson lady before she makes a move…

As for the shadowed moon, as long as Hans is with that woman he will be fine"

"Commander so he… really is your grandson?!"

"It’s… a long story"

Those two weren’t the only people who discovered what was happening to Hans...

Sowhere in southern Italy…

A man was kneeling on one knee as he faced the ground, in front of him a couple of steps led to a red throne circled in gold ornants.

Soone whose face was obscured by the dark environnt repeated the words she had just heard…

"The hell’s hound’ ….grandchild?!"

A euphoric smile that stood out in the darkness sent shivers down the spine of the man who sneaked a glance at the throne.
