Hans observed the scene, and Ember observed Emma full of curiosity as it moved forward.

"Don’t co closer! I’m telling you don’t co closer!"

The little white snake couldn’t understand the human’s words and only stopped for a few seconds before beginning to advance once again.

"Okay!"

She scread.

"You searched for it!

The woman raised her hands ready to cast a spell, and a strange unfamiliar mana gathered between them.

She was about to unleash her spell when soone gently picked up the snake.

Then, the woman, who was too absorbed in killing the snake, finally noticed Hans standing just a few ters from her.

"What are you doing? He’s a monster from a gate, a gate break probably unleashed him into this world to kill humans"

Hans gave out a dry laugh as the gears in his head turned to find the right way to say what he wanted to.

In the end, he just gave up and explained everything to her step by step:

A few minutes later…

"So you’re telling that…

You entered a portal, found out it was an irregularity, almost died trying to kill the boss, and yet you still decided to bring its offspring with you!

And you’re raising him as your pet… all while wearing its mother’s eye on your finger."

"Ha… haha…"

Hans didn’t know what to reply.

Emma imdiately smacked her forehead with her palm.

"Whatever… just don’t end up like those owners who get eaten by their snakes because they think they love them.

He may just be using you to hunt.

’Is she?’

Hans thought.

But as he saw the little snake wrap around his arm and rest on his shoulders, all those useless worries ca to an end.

"Whatever, I’ll figure it out in the future"

Hans muttered, then he turned around.

He took off his ring and threw it to Emma.

Surprised, she caught it and then began analyzing it, even if she wasn’t a specialized appraiser she could tell that it was a rare ranked item, it wasn’t an artifact, but it was still really precious.

"Don’t give this to … see it won’t even fit on my hand, I don’t plan on bringing it around on my thumb, that’d be mad uncomfortable"

"Ah… whatever, just give it to soone, or sell it, I don’t really need money, and what you said is right, I shouldn’t walk around with Ember’s mother’s eye on my ring"

’And everyone around isn’t a good fit for sothing like this…’

He added inwardly.

"It would just be a hassle to get it appraised"

The girl said throwing it back at Hans, but the latter blocked it mid-air with his telekinesis and sent it back to Emma before saying:

"Oh… that’s right, do you have sowhere I can write?"

Emma wasn’t surprised to see him use telekinesis, but she was rather baffled by his request for so paper and a pen.

After searching inside the drawers under the little tables in both rooms, she finally announced victorious:

"Here"

"Thank you"

Hans said just a few words before sitting down on the little creaking chair and writing sothing down on the paper.

Then, he passed it over to Emma, who observed it and comnted in shock:

"Wahh… you must’ve gotten a top-tier appraiser to analyze this ring to know this much…. The information is also really precise.

Hans had only written what he saw with his mystic insight:

Na: Blood Eye Ring

Grade: Rare Rank (low)

Description: A golden ring with a python blood eye set in it.

The forge fla that triumphed over the cold Python blood now resides within it.

Effect: Grants the wearer 10 wisdom points.

Grants the passive skill: {Hot blooded: The wearer’s body temperature will rise by 1° and all their fla spells will be boosted by 10%.

(only up to the third tier)}

Grants the active skill: {Blood Eyes (Tier-3)(ACTIVE): Every enemy crossing gaze with this skill user will be cursed with the effect {Bleeding}}

{Bleeding: The cursed person won’t be able to stop the bleeding of a wound while any existing wounds will bleed more.

The length and the effect of the curse are based on the wisdom of the caster and that of the opponent.}

Hans had always kept it with him because he had only analyzed it once, and that ti he was still a mage below the fourth tier, and his skill {piercing gaze} still hadn’t evolved into {mystic insight}, so he didn’t see the fact that the fla spell boost was only up to the third tier.

Now, even if a ten percent increase in low-tier spells wouldn’t be that bad, he didn’t have any reason to keep it… first of all, with the incredible amount of mana he had, he could avoid using spells ranked below the fourth tier, and secondly, every ti he used a low-ranked spell he coupled it with layering, unfortunately, those two effects didn’t stack, and layer simply overwrote the effects of the boost…

In a few words, it really didn’t matter.

As for the increase of ten in wisdom stat… he had enough wisdom, he only needed his own wisdom to advance so he could create other circles.

The only useful ability in the ring:

{Blood eyes}

Was quite low-ranked, and he had never used it once in more than one year, so it proved to be pretty useless.

"This…"

As she read to the end of the description, she noticed the spell {blood eyes}.

"Found sothing that interests you?"

Hans asked, knowing he had guessed right.

Emma remained silent, she didn’t want to rely on Hans for things like this.

"Well… if you really don’t want it and don’t want to sell it… then give it back"

Emma, worried, decided to ask:

"What are you going to do with it"

Hans pointed at the bathroom and said:

"I’ll just leave it in the toilet and flush the water"

He replied nonchalantly.

"What?! You damn idiot this thing’s worth a couple of dozen of thousand dollars, maybe a couple hundred of thousand"

"See, I told you it was better if you kept it"

Habs said.

Then, he lay back on his bed.

Hans was ready… he didn’t want to do it because it would take away Emma’s privacy, but his curiosity got to him.

’Let see… how strong you’ve gotten’

Hans didn’t even watch the description, he just quickly closed his eyes, trying to make his reaction not too obvious.

Emma watched him and then walked to the other room, thinking he must have been tired.

In the anti, Hans was sweating just thinking about what he had seen…

His breathing beca a little heavy as he noticed…

’Unknown… the reason I got my powers… my class skill is ranked unknown.

She has a skill called unknown…

And that’s just the start, apart from her countless class spells, which must be incredibly powerful because her class is a Mythical rank, she also has mastery over lee weapons at SSS rank…

Her wisdom is over thousands, and all her other stats are higher than Chloe’s…

Honestly... What the fuck.

How can soone like that even exist, I thought I was left behind because I awakened a lot later than her… but even if I had awakened a year earlier than I did… would I be able to reach her level?

Probably not.’

He replied to his questions, as he stood there, facing the ceiling with his eyes closed.

’She’s without a doubt… the strongest human I have ever t, I don’t know if she’s stronger than what’s residing inside Elijah, but even if she isn’t, she could probably snap the abyssal snake’s body in two like a twig.

Also… why did she co to last ti, I didn’t manage to take a look at her status window, but it almost seed like she was out of her mind.’

Hans, who had finally managed to solve so of his questions thanks to Caelan, was now faced with another load of brand-new questions.

Hans couldn’t figure it out, he didn’t even have a hint, he couldn’t piece a puzzle together if he didn’t have more than a single piece.

’As of late, the people I’m eting are getting stronger and stronger, I don’t know if my vision of "powerful" can remain the sa.

S-ranks seem like little dispensable pawns when on the board there are kings and queens such as Elijah and Emma.

And if I were to place myself on the board what would I be? A rook? No, maybe a knight, they’re unpredictable…

Actually, I think I know what I am…

A pawn who has stepped on the last tile, who could turn out to be as powerful as the queen or as unpredictable as a knight… I like this description…

No matter how strong they are…

In just a few months…

I’ll catch up to all of them!’
