Hearing those words, everyone around them turned silent.
Hans could feel their piercing stares pointed toward him, as he stood still for a couple of seconds before asking:
"Um, is everything okay?"
But his words held no weight since only one thought was resounding throughout those people’s minds.
’This kid… is stronger than Gideon?’
"Cut that out, will you? I only lost because I didn’t know about his ability, If I were to fight with him again I would win"
Even if he said those words to justify his loss, to the ears of the others they were nothing but the confirmation of what the girl had just said.
’So it’s true… Gideon really lost to this guy"
In the whole training hall, the only person who was able to beat Gideon consistently was the master, even if he occasionally lost against Christina because of her range advantage with the spear.
He was a high-rank C with a mastery of his daggers on par with most B-rank assassins, so to beat him in a fight, whether of stats or skill, the opponent must’ve been at least at the peak of rank C, if not at rank B.
To think that soone they had never t before could be at the sa level as Mater Henry…
"Wait…You look familiar kid"
Said a middle-aged man who was carefully observing Hans’s face, in search of any clues that would remind him where he had seen the boy.
’Damn, I forgot people could have watched the stream! If my identity gets exposed will I be able to train here anymore?’
Fortunately for him, Master Henry appeared, breaking him out of that tense analysis.
"Oh, Brat! You’ve finally co back, I thought you got lost or sothing"
Trying to change the subject as fast as possible, Hans imdiately replied:
"No, it’s not that, just that the boss monster was hiding and I couldn’t find it, so it took about an hour and a half.
After that, I fought with it for almost a full hour, thankfully I managed to win."
"That’s good, have you managed to try out your skill in real combat?"
"To tell you the truth, no, I couldn’t find any chance to use it since the beasts inside that gate only used physical strength attack, and they didn’t have any claws."

Hans smiled at the old man, who smiled back at him, and he then turned towards the exit, ready to go and find a place where he could have lunch.
But before stepping outside the building, he was stopped by soone who entered.
It was Christina, the blond girl who specialized in the spear.
Behind her were two other girls, one with black hair and a nonchalant look, and the other timidly hiding her brown hair behind Cathrine’s back.
"Oh! It’s the newcor, hey! How about coming with us for lunch today, we’re going to eat a burger"
"Uh? Why are you inviting him?" Asked Gideon.
"Huh? What’s wrong? Are you embarrassed to sit at the sa table as soone stronger than you other than ?"
"What the hell are you talking about? None of you two are stronger than , you lost nine matches out of ten, and he won okay because of his luck."

Teased the girl while heading towards the exit where the other three were standing.

Standing right outside the training hall, Hans was now surrounded by the four girls.
Two of them were insistently asking him questions while the timid one didn’t pressure him in any way, and Christine didn’t stop them, since she herself was curious to know where Hans ca from.
"Hey, are you from around here?"

"What was that skill you used back there against Gideon?"
"Would you like to spar with next?"

"I am not from here, that’s probably why you’ve never seen around these parts.

Before Hans could answer, Gideon ca out of the door, and the group began to move.
Gideon and the blonde girl started fussing about sothing as stupid as always while Christina and the black-haired girl began talking about a TV show.
So, while they were walking, Hans found himself at the back of the group, along with the timid girl.
For a few seconds, they didn’t speak a word, making the situation awkward, but after a bit, the girl gathered up so courage and started a conversation.
She spoke in a low tone to avoid letting the guys in front of her hear what she was talking about:
"U-um.. You.. You’re Hans Richter, right?"

Seeing the reaction of the guy, she exclaid:
"I knew it! I wasn’t so sure at first but I searched one of your videos online, and you look exactly the sa"
"Ha-haha… yeah, you- you got it right"

Said the girl whispering.
"It must not be good to have everyone know about it I guess.
Don’t worry, those guys are completely absorbed in their own worlds, they won’t ever find out about you without anyone telling them, and the sa goes for Master Henry."

Said the blond young man after spotting his friend across the restaurant’s window.
"I’ll take a bacon burger deluxe"
Replied first the annoying girl.

He asked, talking to Hans and Clara"
"I will just take whatever they ordered"

"Alright, I guess you wanted to make it easy for , we’ll co back in about twenty minutes, take a table in the anti.
"Alright"
A few minutes later, they began eating, even if he was new there, he didn’t feel cut out when they talked.
"No no, but you still haven’t answered my question, how did you evade that attack from Gideon"
Hearing this question, the other five turned silent, all curious to hear the answer.

Before the shocked Cathrine could reply, Gideon stood up and yelled:

Everyone sitting at the tables around them turned around to see what was going on, and Gideon imdiately sat down again.

He said, whispering this ti.
"Yeah, it was my first ti using it, but it’s really strong"
Lunch continued as if nothing had happened, and Hans managed to acquire so information about the three people he knew almost nothing about.
First of all: Landon, his bulky body was nothing but a facade for his tender personality.
He watched a lot of dramas, and he specialized in handling the staff.
Then there was Sadie, she was an archer, and even though her personality was extrely energetic and lively, when it ca to work she turned into a solemn hunter.
Lastly… Clara.
