…thank you for your cooperation"

"Huh?" exclaid the man who had got up from his seat causing a fuss about the dean’s request.

"Are you just going to let them rob us in bright daylight?! People have risked their lives for that object and it should not be possessed by soone like them"

An angered glance was thrown at him from the pri minister.

And as the man opened his mouth to say sothing else, the minister shut him up, interrupting him by saying:

"Stop! I will talk to you later about this, but know that this is my final decision."

"I am sorry for the attitude we have shown you"

He said then, talking to the dean.

"It’s okay…"

She replied.

"… there are always people who have different opinions, and I myself think that is what makes us human, but knowing when to express our opinions…

That is what differentiates us from beasts"

Having said that, she observed the man who was standing, and he gradually got back down to his seat after understanding what the woman ant.

Interrupting this conversation, was soone none of the two people expected to step in.

Hans talked.

He had been really quiet during the three days of the training period, so he had been considered as a magic genius in his own world, who never interfered with other’s conversations.

This ti, however, he had sothing to tell everyone present.

"I think... That won’t be enough"

"What?!" said the minister surprised.

’Is he talking about the artifact? Does he want sothing else?’

And just like him, the dean was also curious and wanted to know what Hans was trying to say.

"Would you please tell us what you need,"

Asked the pri minister politely.

The person in front of him was classified as S-rank and a seventh-tier mage, talking to him as if he wasn’t at the sa level just because of his age was the dumbest thing one could do, and fortunately, the pri minister was smart enough to co to that conclusion.

"I an you all won’t be enough"

Imdiately reacting to this comnt was the man who had just sat down:

"Ah?! What the hell are you-"

But before he could finish, a fierce glare from the dean was enough to make his mouth stop.

She then proceeded to speak:

"Don’t worry Hans, I will participate this ti, it is a completely different matter now that the Academy has already proved itself"

"I know that"

Said Hans.

"Then… are you perhaps saying that?…"

"Yes, even you won’t be enough"

Saying this he left everyone sitting around the table speechless.

Hans was powerful and famous for sure, but the dean was not worth less than him.

She was on the verge of becoming SS-rank, being one of the only people in the world to achieve that level.

To say that soone like her was not enough… that sure was a bold statent.

"Why would you say that? I am pretty sure taking on the yetis won’t be a problem, especially since I’m not alone."

"It’s not the yetis.

The problem lies sowhere else"

This could only an one thing, and since everyone in that room was aware of the creatures who inhabited the inner parts of the blizzard, they imdiately understood.

The dean spoke first once again:

"Hans… do you know sothing?"

"Yes, the tortoises… they will soon migrate"

Two days later.

The wind was as cold as ever but most of the blizzards had already started to vanish.

The outermost area had completely disappeared, and the innermost area had beco way more quiet and approachable.

Hans was sitting in the back of a snowmobile.

Driving was Nivi Lund, she was one of the officials of the TeamOne guild, and also the only person before Hans’s expedition team to have survived the innermost area.

That was exactly where they were going at the mont.

They were crossing the ex-blizzard area at an incredible pace thanks to the vehicle, which allowed them to travel at around a hundred kiloters every hour (62 miles).

Speaking to Hans through his earbud was the dean, who wanted to make sure one last ti when she still could.

"Are you sure you want to do this?

There is no turning back"

"Positive"

He replied.

"Well then… I wish you the best of luck"

That’s right, Hans did need a bit of luck since he was about to face off against the toughest opponents of his life.

With toughest, it ant literally toughest.

"We are here"

Said the woman, getting off the snowmobile and talking to Hans.

"Alright, thank you for the lift"

"No worries"

Hans began walking towards the blizzard that remained of the innermost area, and just as he wandered away, the woman felt a need to stop him.

"Hey!"

Hans turned around, watching her from the distance.

She then shouted:

"Good luck! I will see you in a few hours!"

He smiled a bit before replying:

"Yeah, good luck to you too"

She then got back on the snowmobile and drove away, leaving Hans stranded in the middle of nowhere.

"Now…

They should start moving any minute, it’s just a matter of ti"

Hans did not have to wait much before what he hoped to find revealed itself.

The ground shook, and piles of snow fell from the sky as the beast residing beneath them shook it off from their backs.

"Starting now, for the next twelve hours….

It is ti to level up."

He said, rushing towards the titanic ice tortoises.

Hundreds of those beasts stood in front of Hans…

In the anti, the yetis had arrived at the place where Greenland’s forces and the dean waited for them.

"Are they all in place?"

She asked.

"Yes, none of them have been left behind, they are all here"

"Alright then…

No place to escape to, no shelter to be found…

You can’t run anywhere, damn beasts!

Charge!"

From all directions, the fifty or so awakened charged toward the yetis.

They were in a snow plain, where the ground was evenly leveled, and there weren’t any closed spaces where it would’ve been easier for the monsters to corner the humans.

Everyone threw themselves toward the beats, fiercely ripping through them as they made their way toward the yeti leaders.

There were about two dozen yeti leaders, aning if they wanted to stand a chance against the group, they had to take them out before getting tired.

"I am starting to see the leaders"

Said Caleb, talking to the others through the earbuds.

Replying to him was imdiately one of TeamOne’s officials, more specifically, the one who had complained about giving away the artifact.

He said in an annoyed tone:

"For god’s sake, don’t scream in the earbuds, we can hear you just fine even if you don’t break our eardrums!"

Once he was done speaking, spoke imdiately TeamOne guild leader, who apologized before anything else.

"I am sorry for him, I hope you can forgive us.

Also, I’m already starting to see the leaders too."

"Nice"

Said the dean.

"Now, we’ll proceed as planned.

Caleb, Sivert, you can start attacking the Yeti leaders, as for the others, make sure the normal ones can’t interrupt our fights.

The plan was the following: while Caleb, Sivert, and the dean took out the leaders, the others would have to hold off and kill the normal yetis.

They opted for this because high dexterity was needed to face off against the leaders, aning that getting grabbed by them could cause death in just a couple of hits.

Also, there were way too many of them to try and fight them individually, not to talk about the fact that they hadn’t eaten in a lot of ti, and they would’ve attacked the prey simultaneously even if it were alone.

The fight was going smoothly, the three strongest soldiers had already taken out about half of the leaders, and the total number of yetis had been reduced by at least a fourth.

’Good… we just have to continue like this and this will be the easiest hundred million dollars I’ve made in my life’

Thought the dean.

But with the corner of her eye, she saw the hot-headed TeamOne official engage in a battle against a yeti leader.

’What the fuck… does he think he is doing?!’
