"What did you do this ti?" Rebecca asked. "The monsters stopped moving, but the atmosphere is growing more ominous."
"I did what I do the best," Terry replied and then shrugged.
Rebecca wasn’t sure of Terry’s declaration, but at least the soldiers on the walls were able to keep attacking the monsters and soon their first line of attack had been decimated. At that point in ti, Terry, Rebecca and Vanessa had already noticed it. It was fine for them to keep fighting for this long since they could recover mana per kill. However, the hunters had been using their magic for a while, but they didn’t run out of mana.
"That is the power of their relic, they can distribute mana among the people of their guild or perhaps territory," Terry said. "I guess only for their guild mbers since we aren’t gaining anything from it."
"You are half right," Rosalia said as she approached. "The relic can distribute mana to those around our territory, but only if their mana drops beyond half, that didn’t happen to you all for so reason."
"Where and how did the relic harness so much mana?" Terry asked.
"That is a question that I can’t answer," Rosalia replied.
Even if Rosalia couldn’t tell that, Terry had so theories. Francis’ relic probably could absorb mana from the environnt. It wouldn’t be weird if earth had mana now since monsters and magic had been used for the last thirty years. There was also the possibility that the relic could absorb monsters’ bodies and transform them into energy. That would explain why Terry didn’t find many monsters based materials so far.
"Well, it doesn’t matter now," Terry said and then he began to face the North once again.
Terry was waiting for another attack, but instead of that. He found a large shadow approaching in the distance. At the sa ti, everyone could hear and feel so earthquakes slowly approaching. That couldn’t be a good sign... Terry was sick and tired of fighting giant enemies, but it seed that they weren’t sick and tired of fighting him.
A giant colossus of a monster made of stone erging in the distance. The creature looked humanoid and even resembled a human, but it had ten arms and in each one of them, there were massive stone swords. Thanks to the night sky, no one noticed it, but when the overlord got close enough, everyone saw that the enemy was made of steel or sothing similar.
Even the swords were made of the sa materials... damaging all that will be a massive pain in the ass. Everyone was shocked since they never saw a monster that was like one hundred ters tall and completely made of tal.
"... The overlord is different than the last ti we saw it," Rosalia said while her expression was white as a ghost.
"... That is probably so giant robot that the enemy can control, he isn’t joking around," Vanessa said while glaring at the enemy.
Terry was surprised as well, even though he didn’t show that in his face. He had leveled up his sword a lot in order to deal with all kinds of enemies, but he didn’t imagine that he would fight one that was all made of tal. Speaking of which, he imagined that the enemy had transford instead of using a giant robot. He had no idea why that had been his first thought, though. Still, it seed that his guess was the correct one since the monster looked at him and didn’t say anything or conveyed any emotion.
"Did the cat get your tongue?" Terry asked.
It looked like Terry’s taunt was pretty understood since the monster began to walk toward the wall and in his direction, at the sa ti, the monster began to swing its massive swords. Before long, it looked like a tornado that would slice up everything around the monster was ford around the beast and everyone gulped while looking at that.
"If we don’t defeat this, everyone will bla your taunt..." Rebecca said and then fired so earth blocks toward the enemy, but the swords sliced it up in many pieces.
Vanessa raised her arms to use her lightning magic, but as if the enemy had realized what was going to happen, it suddenly swung one of its swords toward her with all his might, making a powerful blast of wind being fired. Terry stepped forward and blocked the attack with his own blade, but was pushed backward for a few seconds before the blast dissipated.
"This might be bad..." Terry thought.

Terry thought that he had strengthened his sword enough for the overlord, but he might have underestimated the enemy. That kind of enemy could make quick work of the fire dragon and the ice troll without suffering any damage... for the first ti in a long while, Terry was astonished by that massive power.
The monster moved toward Terry and he hesitated for a short while. Still, a massive lightning bolt fell from the sky and hit the enemy. Since the enemy was made of tal, it was paralyzed for a few seconds while its arms slowed down with the attacks. Thanks to that, nurous attacks from the walls were fired toward it. Still, they were barely scratching the enemy.
