'Today, everything has to be randomly uniform.'
Putting his bicycle into the parking slot, Leo reviewed his plan for the day. To most of the students, this was just another normal school day.
It might be a little tiring considering it was the first school day of the week, so would have only co reluctantly, but the concept of this day was completely different for Leo.
His actions throughout the day could very possibly decide his fate!
The friendly vibe of the eting invitation that seed to offer guidance to the lost souls at no cost didn't directly translate to the nature of its sender.
For all Leo knew, they could be just hyenas that wanted to exploit other people who possessed special abilities. It could also be a shot in the dark pulled off by another lonely special person.
'It could even be a superpowered chunni from this very school.'
The range of possibilities was infinite, and the questions were even more nurous.
Did special abilities only start appearing recently? If not, was there truly an organization that encompassed all of those 'roleplayers' like sothing out of a comic book?
Were they a righteous group like the League of Justice or the Revengers? Or were they just a group of thugs that joined together to amplify the damage they could make?
Despite personally wanting to live a quiet life on Earth, Leo was positive that not all superhumans, if they existed, would share his desire.
After all, he couldn't even tell if they were similarly sent to other worlds to obtain their abilities or not. In reality, most humans would try to do sothing big once they realized they were actually special.
'I can't just act willfully when I have close to no information.'
Taking all of that into mind, Leo couldn't just walk blindly into unknown territory.
Of course, it was too early to give up on going altogether. He just had to take precautions to make sure that 'they' are just as blind when it cos to his identity.
Considering that the invitation sender could either be a student or have surveillance over the school where he altered the poster, Leo planned to go to great lengths in order not to stand out.
Not only did he have to make sure that he didn't act any differently than usual, but he also had to make it so his day wasn't too identical to the past days.
Being too careful was just as good a sign as blatantly acting off while consud by a blend of worries, anxiety, and excitent.
'Heh, I might have spoken too early.'
Rather than enjoying a relaxing school life, Leo felt like he was just heading to a different kind of battlefield. It wasn't a bloodbath, but there were all kinds of possible mind gas!
'Or I could be just too paranoid.'
As an analytical reader that always tried to look at everything about the story from every possible corner, Leo almost considered every logical possibility that he could think of.
The fact that special abilities weren't part of common logic, made the prospects even harder for Leo to narrow down.
"You still ca early today?"
Just as Leo was getting lost in thought like he did every other school day, the commotion around the person he suspected the most started.
"Eh? Why should I co late today?"
"Moh, Yulia, you are so good at studying, but you still forget what I tell you. That's how you enjoy the soul of the weekend, you have to keep it going as long as possible!"
'Speak about being too obvious.'
Her friend was just being a perfect specin of a lazy person, but the random words she said seed to set off Yulia's worry ter.
It was only a guess before, but Leo was becoming even more sure that Yulia was also a 'roleplayer'!
Although she did have the tacit to not skip school for the eting, the way she was acting from the get-go was the sa as announcing her identity.
'A protagonist that doesn't need to hide their identity, or just a clumsy heroine waiting for the actual main character?'
While Leo had his fun imagining the new transfer student being the protagonist of this school, he was still unsure of the central character of this world as a whole.
If this was [Book 0] as denominated by his Personal Book, then was today the true opening chapter?
For the sake of his peaceful life, Leo hoped that would not be the case…
"Ah… Right, you did say that, but I also said that I won't be able to wake up for school later if I ss up my sleeping schedule once!"
Flick!
Annoyed by the unnecessary scare that she received, Yulia delivered a thunder flick into her friend's forehead!
"Owwww! It…" The girl strongly held her forehead as she scread in pain. However…
"Wait, it doesn't hurt?"
Yulia's friend felt a sudden hit of disorientation as she looked into her hand. The force that ca at her, made her think that her head would bleed, but it was all like an illusion now…!
"Humph! This is just a little payback for your little pranks. hehe."
The one who delivered the attack herself had a pout that quickly broke into a cheerful smile. She was too sensitive earlier, but after this silly everyday skirmish, she now felt relaxed and carefree.
'Nothing bad will happen!'
"Alright, settle down, settle down. Class is starting."
All voices faded into silence as the Teacher entered the classroom, but not everyone's attention fell on him. Yulia's face still looked forward, but her eyes darted in a different direction.
Short blue hair and complenting dreamy blue eyes. Without even trying, he was the only person in this school that managed to catch her attention.
The student paid her no heed this ti. However, the sense of solidarity that Yulia instinctively felt from him was undeniable. It was as if they could relate to each other just by existing in the sa room.
'Are you also going?'
Aside from her repressed worries, Yulia had one more thing to look forward to in the coming event.
