The eting ended with Iyeolhan assuming the position of the Fourth Pillar for the ti being. Once Yeon fully ascended to her seat, his position would either be consolidated or replaced, but all agreed that he was the most suitable for the position.
The reason soone like him had been responsible for supervising the Heavenly Furnace was that he was right next to the Four Pillars in abilities and experience, so he was the perfect person to impart that to the little fledglings!
Considering the destruction that Murim had undergone, picking a new patch of entrants would take a while, making him the perfect candidate for the seat.

The eting went by too quickly, but too many unexpected things ended up happening. Even Leo who entered knowing everything about it ca out with a very different result, though he was definitely satisfied with the change.

Having already obtained the necessary objects for the succession process made things easier for them, but that was also the case for Geochin since he would no longer waste his ti tracking them around. As such, getting the chance to directly increase his abilities without having to go for another Hidden Piece journey was an incredible offer for Leo!

After they exited the hall, Cheon Jeong directly took Leo and Yeon into the deeper parts of Mount Heaven, only stopping when they got into a large compartnt behind the Sky Spire. This was where the history of the Heavenly Demons usually started and ended.
Cheon Chang also tagged along. Leo guessed he was probably there for him, but the stiff-faced senior brother that got even more silent with the Heavenly Demon's death was harder to read than before…
"As you can already guess, this is the Society Leader's personal seclusion chamber. You will be conducting the process right here."
Cheon Jeong did a perfect job as a tour guide, but Leo didn't need it. While this looked like just another compartnt carved from stone on the outside, he could tell that the inside of it was pretty special as the Blade Spirit put in the energy sequence to open it up.

The inside wasn't just even more pitch-black than its outside, but all kinds of ores and crystals were stuck around the walls as if to contain sothing. In short, this was a suppression chamber prepared specifically for handling the maverick elent of the Heavenly Demon!
"As you need to absorb the Inheritance Core of both the Leader and the Invader, which contain alien characteristics, you can only do so in this chamber that was built to take care of the risks that could potentially result in Energy Deviation or an even worse case like possession."
Just like a vaccine could kill its user if the contained virus wasn't weakened enough, the producer of Murim's 'vaccine formula' couldn't just ingest the virus in its primary state. In simple words, this chamber was the weakening factor that would allow Yeon to go through that dangerous process without the presence of any risk.
The Heavenly Strength Society was practically founded to deal with demons, so it was only normal that they had already mastered the process of passing on the code after so many centuries!
"Only those participating in the process can help the other, so I wouldn't be able to provide any assistance this ti. You two will have to get through this yourself… I'm sure you will get through this easily if you follow the instructions."
With that being her last words, Cheon Jeong added the sequence on the chamber to the pair's scarlet token before leaving and closing the door behind her. She acted as the most reasonable person and conducted everything so far, but Leo could see the stress on her face.
'This is fairly simple…'
Other than the 'decorations' that served to make this chamber what it was, it was basically empty aside from the book embedded next to the pedestal at the center, likely the 'instructions' ntioned by Cheon Jeong.
Yeon walked in as she looked around before taking out the condensed Dantian and looking at it again. The Four Pillars did possess their own thods of collecting it without causing its destruction, but it was still the best for the successor to personally pick it up!
'I can't say I didn't put my eyes on this.'
In the big picture of things, Leo couldn't deny his desire to share the cores after the war, especially with how tight his ti had beco. It was just too big an opportunity to miss out on!
Baekho might have been similarly given the chance, but he was dead by the ti everything was in place. Either way, the energy held by the two cores was still too much for Yeon to absorb on her own. Cheon Jeong would have joined her in the process to make use of the waste. However…
'It's just too suitable for .'
The value that an Unrestrained Martial Artist could make of the surplus was simply too little! On the other hand, the scale of improvent that Leo could achieve alongside Yeon was just too high in comparison!
The higher the one climbed, the harder it was for them to step forward as little as a few centiters. A Transcendent like Leo was already suffering from a lack of progress for the last couple of years, so the Blade Spirit didn't stand to gain much while Leo was betting his advancent on it!

Yeon had stayed silent through everything since everyone looked at her with so many expectations in their eyes, including Leo himself. However, now that she had reached this point, she couldn't help questioning it as she chewed on the retaining desire to obtain what the Inheritance Core held…

It looked selfish of the whole Heavenly Strength Society to put their expectation on a girl who was barely 20, but in reality, Yeon needed this as much as the others needed a Leader.
"Am I not standing here next to you?"
It was ti to go for one last seclusion!
