Gusts of cold wind swept past.
Great Angel Schiller looked down at Dragon God Endora, who was incessantly struggling on the gloomy ground.
Not a trace of pity was found in his eyes; the fate of this divine being was fully deserved.
Dragon God Endora, as one of the first five divines in the Celestial Kingdom who had awakened self-awareness, continued to enjoy supre honor among the gods even after the arrival of the Law and advent of Heaven.
Since Shan’en’s fall, the Celestial Kingdom had been thrown into leaderless chaos, and those five divines were regarded in so sense as Divine Kings. The divines respected them, willing to follow them; without such a state, Dragon God Endora could not have secretly convened the Six Gods and personally created the Primordial Church.
Great Angel Schiller waited quietly on the surface.
In this level of Hell, sinners would alternate between madness and lucidity, ensuring that they remained sensitive to their punishnts.
From high above, Dragon God Endora’s massive body still looked like a lonely ant on the vast surface.
When the surface ceased trembling, Dragon God Endora slowly regained his sanity from madness. His eyes were bloodshot, staring upward as if trying to peer into Heaven and destroy that perfect realm.
The sight made Great Angel Schiller feel disgusted.
Schiller slowly descended from the sky, and Endora instantly noticed this angel traversing Hell. He was montarily bewildered, his curses stopping abruptly and replaced by fearful silence.
Under the grace of the angel, Schiller saw the fear hidden beneath Endora’s curses.
"Do you enjoy defying God, Endora?"
Schiller walked forward, his gaze fixed on Endora like a judge.
Endora opened his mouth, his voice hoarse:
"How can an angel co to such a place as this?
How...
Can even angels defy and fall?"
Endora’s words enraged Schiller, and the great angel coldly responded:
"Do not compare to yourself, I am God’s hand and foot, His ssenger."
Strange...
He shouldn’t be angry.
He was God’s great angel and would never defy or fall.
Was he feeling guilty?
Schiller dared not think further, but at that mont, Dragon God Endora asked:
"So...what are you here for?
To display God’s rcy, or to increase my punishnt, thus demonstrating the Law?"
Endora’s voice was filled with scorn and mockery.
Schiller stared at him and laughed:
"You speak so freely, but you know exactly what you endure."
In just a few words, he precisely targeted Dragon God’s sore spot—Endora suddenly distorted his face fiercely, and with the last vestiges of his strength, he tried desperately to shred the great angel before him.
But even though Schiller stood still, Endora could not advance a single step; this Hell seed to read every evil thought in one’s soul and shackle it accordingly.
Monts later, Endora collapsed on the ground, utterly helpless, the forr creator of the beastn no longer possessing his forr dignity.
Schiller watched with no sympathy,
"You created the Primordial Church by yourself, rely to defy God and fulfill your so-called longstanding wishes,
How is it that you mortals always like to misuse God’s na?"
The fallen Endora’s veins bulged like a wounded beast as he roared:
"I am not a mortal! I am divine!"
Schiller shook his head:
"In God’s eyes, you are no different.
Think about it, aren’t your souls all from the sa source?"
Endora furiously replied:
"We possess powers beyond mortal reach!"
Schiller scoffed:
"Power, how ridiculous,
In the mortal world, kings are also beyond the reach of slaves, yet they are still just mortals.
However unreachable you may be to mortals, what significance does it hold in His presence?"
Endora, at that mont, had nothing to say; his massive body trembled, fear sweeping through him, incapacitating him.
Schiller saw Endora’s fear, and at that mont, he felt a sort of gratification akin to avenging a great wrong—such feeling was rare among angels.
After a long while, Endora regained his senses, raised his head, his face fiercely asking:
"What decree does my father have?
To push the unrepentant into the ninth circle of Hell?!"
The Ninth Circle of Hell...
Upon hearing this, Schiller recalled Great Angel Kara’s description of the ninth circle of Hell.
There, there was only nothingness.
Schiller could not imagine what that was like; born in the perfect Heaven, Schiller had never experienced nothingness.
He looked up, gazing toward the horizon.
The eighth and ninth circles of Hell were so close.
Great angels all retained a part of God’s mory, Schiller rembered, when God was about to descend but had not yet done so, He was in a state of nothingness.
From this, he wondered...
Could understanding what nothingness entails bring one closer to God?
Schiller was startled by his own thoughts and suddenly wanted to stop, but once the fla of desire ignited, it would not extinguish until the goal was achieved.
In the terrifying nothingness, could there truly exist a way to draw closer to God?
Schiller stood motionlessly.
The slowly recovering Endora looked at this great angel and suddenly, it seed like he saw the Six Gods among him.
The Six Gods had desires, had longti wishes, and it was for this reason that they founded the Primordial Church, hoping to harness the power of the Primordial Will, to welco a new Divine King, and to restore the old order belonging to the gods.
