In the endless darkness,

Mira could only keep falling.

She felt like a stone that had been cast downward, falling continuously due to her own weight until the last mont when she shattered into pieces.

Blood drenched Mira, making her look extrely disheveled.

But fortunately, her fall was long enough, having lasted a full seven days; although she looked terribly ragged, she had actually almost fully recovered.

"Where... exactly is this place?"

Mira muttered.

The air she fell through constantly surged upwards, her hair fluttering upwards; she could spread her limbs to slow her descent a bit, but it didn’t really help much.

When she fell off the cliff, she had been knocked unconscious for a while; when she opened her eyes, she found herself falling. Initially Mira was very panicked, terrified that at so point she’d smash into minceat, but now, she was no longer afraid, this was simply a bottomless abyss, falling for seven days and nights without an end in sight.

Mira actually wasn’t afraid of death, on the contrary, she very much wished the ground would suddenly appear in the abyss, then kill her on impact, after which she could directly ascend to Heaven, and then figure out a way to create a new body and return to the Mortal World.

But now, she kept falling without encountering any limit.

During these seven days, Mira even got used to sleeping while falling.

Thinking back to that battle outside the city beneath the city, Mira felt ashad, she had earnestly promised Anos that she would take her away, only to utterly lose in front of the Gatekeeper.

But feeling ashad, what could be done about it? What had happened, had happened, and couldn’t be undone.

While falling, Mira silently clasped her hands together and softly said,

"God, please protect her."

Many days passed.

Mira didn’t know how long.

She couldn’t see the changes between day and night.

In this abyss, there was only infinite and unending darkness; it’s often said "so dark you can’t see your hand in front of your face," but if you looked closely, you would normally still make out so outlines. Here in this abyss, however, it was truly pitch black, and vision lost all its aning.

Mira didn’t know how much longer she would need to fall—a month? Three months? A year? Or ten years?

However long it took was the sa; she went from the initial agitation to gradually becoming tranquil because of the endless fall.

She turned around in mid-air, facing down and with her back facing up, staring into the endlessly abyss ahead, attempting to see an end.

But she couldn’t see one; there was only constant falling, constant waiting.

......

A long ti passed.

Perhaps, perhaps it was over sixty days.

In this darkness, Mira couldn’t distinguish ti and could only make a rough guess.

Soon after, Mira suddenly caught onto sothing unusual.

This feeling wasn’t visual; in this endless darkness, vision had no aning, but rather it ca from a vague, elusive sensation.

The unending fall finally presented so slight change, and Mira spirited up, desperately capturing this difference.

After a mont, she suddenly felt that the speed of her fall had slowed.

Everything around beca viscous, the air felt incredibly heavy, continually contracting around her, enveloping her into an even deeper darkness.

Mira fell into it.

She began to look panicked; the darkness scared her.

Blackness surrounded her from all sides, a boundless, icy blackness devoid of any emotion, throbbing as if it intended to devour Mira, reverting everything back to its proper form.

Mira wanted to struggle, but for so reason, when the viscous darkness surged over, all the struggle only stayed in her mind; her body was unable to respond.

Everything around was very quiet.

The darkness piled up like the tide, Mira felt, those deeper darkness were always ready to devour her.

But... she waited for a long ti, that deeper darkness always stagnated in place, occasionally trembling, but hesitating to move forward.

What was this... happening?

Were they pondering?

Mira had no clue.

Then, a wave of drowsiness hit her, and the girl desperately tried to stay awake, but the drowsiness was too strong; soon in the darkness, the sound of Mira’s deep sleep could be heard.

.........

"Mira."

Mira furrowed her brows and then, deep in her sleep, she realized sothing and jolted awake.

That gentle voice, she knew all too well.

"God?!"

Mira opened her eyes and exclaid in astonishnt.

At that mont, she was no longer in pitch darkness; so light had erged from sowhere in the viscous, profound darkness, allowing her to see the outlines of her hands.

Mira hurriedly stood up,

"God, where are you?"

"I am everywhere."

Chen Yi softly responded to her.

Mira groped around in the darkness, walking back and forth, yet she touched nothing.

However, since God answered her in such a way, and she had heard His voice, He must be nearby.

Thinking this, Mira stopped searching and obediently folded her hands, standing in the darkness.

Chen Yi watched the girl and smiled slightly.

Then, he heard Mira ask:

"God, where is this?"

Mira asked, puzzled.

"Within the Primordial Will."

God provided the answer.

"Primordial Will... the Primordial? Does this relate to the Primordial Church? Is this what they spoke of... your other side?!"

Mira beca completely flustered upon hearing this answer.

Could it be that what the Primordial Church spoke of was not a lie, but the truth? Could God truly have another side?!

"Mira, do not overthink."

Chen Yi saw through her emotions,

"I do not have another side."

Hearing this, Mira finally felt relieved.

"God, why... why am I here?"

"Mira, because the Primordial Will has accepted you."

"Accepted ?"

Mira’s face was filled with astonishnt, her hands trembling.

The Primordial Will was related to the Primordial Church, and although Mira did not know what the Primordial Will was, she knew about the Primordial Church, and it was not sothing comndable.

"Why? Why has it accepted ?"

Mira hurriedly asked.

"Because of Anos."

Chen Yi went on:

"Mira, you did not know what the Primordial Will is."

The girl nodded; she indeed did not know.

Chen Yi softly said:

"Simply put, the end cos because of it, whether it’s the great flood in the ’Book of Kings and Prophets’ or the Gods’ War during the ti of Noen."

Mira was startled and looked around the darkness with a trace of fear, stepping back unconsciously.

When she gradually regained her composure, the girl softly asked:

"God... this Primordial Will... what do you want to do with it?"

"I want to give it a gift."

Upon the throne, Chen Yi stared at the distant Historical Star,

"Human nature."
