God’s dreamscape.
Above the vast Cloud Sea, within this Holy Space, nothing hard nor hurt any being, with God’s figure standing atop the throne, raising His hand as the space before Him was arranged and molded into various forms by His will.
Solamus ca from afar, descending from midair. He approached the throne and looked up at God shaping the space before Him.
"God, are you creating sothing?" Solamus asked softly.
Chen Yi stopped what He was doing and said,
"I am creating my Law."
"Law?" Solamus inquired with curiosity.
He certainly knew of laws, also terd as legal codes, which are a series of regulations and rules ant to guide and constrain human behavior—humans often consider laws as the asure of good and evil.
"Is it a asure of good and evil?" Solamus asked curiously.
To the Great Angel’s surprise, God shook His head,
"My Law is not a asure of good and evil, Solamus."
Not a asure of good and evil?
The Great Angel’s curiosity intensified, and he asked,
"God, You say we are the most benevolent Angels, so in Your eyes, what is the ultimate evil?"
Chen Yi looked at Solamus, smiled, and simply said,
"Evil is not an entity."
The words fell on Solamus’s ears, and he suddenly had an insight, yet found it sowhat incomprehensible.
Evil is not an entity—does that an evil is not an exact existence?
Like darkness is the absence of light, is evil the absence of good?
Thinking this, Solamus suddenly understood why God said His Law was not a asure of good and evil.
But at this mont, the Angel most intimate with God found himself with many more questions.
Yet seeing God creating, he suppressed them for a while, waiting patiently.
God created the Law of this Holy Space unhurriedly, brilliance converging in His hands, and besides God Himself, no one could see the shape of the creation, not even Solamus.
After a while, God said,
"Let’s stop here."
Chen Yi withdrew His hand, the brilliance slowly leaving His palm and being placed within His throne by God.
Solamus could see that God’s Law was not yet complete, but it already had a rough outline.
Chen Yi noticed Solamus’s confusion and asked,
"What puzzles you, my Solamus?"
The Great Angel looked up; God seed to be in good spirits.
So, he asked,
"God, if evil is not an entity, then can everyone ascend to Heaven?"
Chen Yi smiled and briefly said,
"The wicked are no more difficult to save than the righteous."
Solamus’s confusion deepened; he did not understand the aning of God’s words.
The wicked are no more difficult to save than the righteous...
Does that an that even if one commits nurous evil deeds, they can still co to this most benevolent and beautiful paradise?
"Solamus, I know why you are puzzled."
Chen Yi saw into Solamus’s thoughts and stroked the Great Angel’s head.
"God, please enlighten , even if the answer is beyond my comprehension," Solamus requested softly.
"After this kingdom cos to be, I shall create the underworld, which at that ti, humans will call Hell."
Hearing this, Solamus asked,
"So the righteous ascend to Heaven and the wicked descend to Hell... is that it?"
God said to him,
"Yes, but also no.
Evil is not an entity, evil is the absence of good.
It is just that humans call the state of lacking goodness ’evil.’
And those who lack goodness will suffer in Hell, until they atone for their sins through suffering, until good erges in their souls, until they no longer lack.
At that ti, Heaven’s brilliance will co to Hell, to guide each soul that has suffered and atoned, no longer devoid of good, to this place."
Solamus had an epiphany.
God intended to create the underworld, Hell, not to annihilate evil.
Evil was never an entity; it was rely the absence of good.
The underworld that God was creating was for souls lacking goodness to atone through suffering, to embrace love through pain.
If Heaven is like honey, then the underworld is a bowl of bitter dicine.
Thinking of this, Solamus felt deeply moved and continued to ask,
"God, then how long must the wicked suffer there?"
God rely said,
"That is not important. No matter how long, when they arrive in this eternal kingdom, all their past ailnts will seem fleeting."
At first perplexed, Solamus now looked at God amidst endless radiance and understood once more.
He looked up, excitedly declaring,
"God, you are eternal!"
God is everlasting.
And the kingdom God has created is naturally eternal.
For those sinners who arrive in this holy kingdom after atonent, compared to eternal ti, eternal happiness, the suffering of Hell, no matter how prolonged, is just fleeting, just a road with an end.
All of Solamus’s confusion unraveled, and he was now overjoyed, with Chen Yi too smiling at him.
The Great Angel gazed upon God,
At the birth of the Angels, God held no joy, anger, sorrow, or delight, but now, God had rediscovered various emotions.
Since reclaiming His joy, He no longer showed indifference to the world but regarded everything with boundless sentintality.
