Upon the earth, outside Ajia City.
"The tyrant" Claudiu had brought war to the gates of Ajia.
Three-eyed Ape People stood atop the city walls, looking on with chilling fear at the approaching Beastman army.
In the front row, the Beastn carried long poles that seed no different at first glance, but atop those poles were skewered one head after another.
They were all heads of the Three-eyed Ape People.
Only days ago, the armies of the Three-eyed Ape People had clashed with "the tyrant" Claudiu’s forces in the field, and in that fearso battle fought under darkening skies, the Three-eyed Ape People faced ruthless defeat.
Claudiu’s soldiers, far more bloodthirsty and rciless than Ajia’s warriors, employed tactics that were flexible and unscrupulous, ripping through the Ape People’s lines ti and again.
And Ajia’s heroes could not stand against the tyrant Claudiu.
In that great battle, heroes like Baird fought against Claudiu alone, his power instilling terror in each hero, casting a vast shadow in their hearts with his soaring figure.
Even Baird, the hero among heroes, could only barely hold his own against him, narrowly escaping being gravely wounded on the battlefield.
Outside Ajia, when "the tyrant’s" brass chariot appeared on the battlefield, the garrison atop the walls gasped collectively, panic fernting in their hearts as they fearfully lowered their swords.
It was then seen that Claudiu held a long pole, and upon that pole was the head of Ajia’s hero Tusi.
His eyes wide open in death, refusing to close, as if beheaded by Claudiu amidst great trembling fear.
Even heroes t their end at the hands of that tyrant.
A dark gloom settled over the city walls; the soldiers of Ajia trembled in terror.
Claudiu’s brutality horrified everyone present.
Clad in Dragon Skin, Baird drew his longsword from his waist, his gaze locked firmly on the tyrant in the chariot.
"This is no longer a battle where heroes converge."
Baird clenched his bronze sword and murmured.
It would be a war in which Ajia Royal City resisted the tyrant’s conquest.
Should the Royal City fall, the entire Kingdom would cease to exist, and this realm with its three thousand years of history since King Lam would be utterly destroyed, the heads of the Three-eyed Ape People piling up like mountains upon the earth.
"Loose arrows!"
At that command, along with the thunderous sound of horns, the soldiers montarily overca their fear, the archers placing their hands on the bowstrings. In just a blink, thousands of arrows pierced the sky, continuously fired one after another, filling the air like torrential rain, falling when they reached their peak, so dense they nearly covered the sky.
As the arrows rained down, the leading Beastn did not retreat; they raised their shields to block the incoming arrows, and though so fell to the ground wounded, those not yet dead bore the pain and rose to their feet, more afraid of the tyrant on the chariot than the flying arrows.
Gradually, the Beastn pushed forward to the base of the city walls. It was afternoon, and the ditch outside the oiled city walls lit up with flas, throwing Beastn into the fiery pit, eliciting screams of agony.
The tyrant on the chariot, faced with such a scene, did not panic but rather let out an excited, maniacal laugh.
Marching Beastn carried large shields, braving the barrage of arrows and stones, dumping scooped-up dirt to extinguish the raging flas in the ditch.
The sharp arrows and stones caused substantial damage to the Beastn below, leaving behind charred or arrow-stricken bodies atop the ditch. But ultimately, the fires on the Stone Bridge were extinguished.
The Beastn Warriors brought up scaling ladders, and the heroes, with no ti for lant, quickly organized the soldiers, ready for a bloody battle atop the walls.
The defense of a city divided into two stages: wall defense and street fighting, with the forr being the most critical — for once the walls were breached, the fate of the city was nearly sealed.
The Beastn closed in along the ladders, and the garrison, led by their commanders, hurled torches, Beastn afla fell to the ground after terrible screams, yet like ants, the enemy continued to swarm and ascend the city walls.
Amidst clouds of dust, the garrison raised their longbows for two to three coordinated volleys, but even though these caused effective damage, they could not stop the Beastn’s advance.
The Three-eyed Ape People pushed their different colored shields forward while heaps of Beastn wielding huge logs used brute force to batter the gates. Experienced Beastn charged forward with shields to buy ti for their comrades to scale the walls.
The Beastn who managed to reach the top of the wall encountered the long-waiting garrison. Heroes shouted "For Ajia!" or "For Kagawus!" and amid the fervent battle cries, they clashed with the Beastn, blood and swords everywhere.
Heroes drew swords and battle axes, bravely moving forward, drawing strength from the cries of their comrades.
des, with his extraordinary archery, managed to land precise shots on Beastn one after another, even amidst the crowded walls.
He drew his bow countless tis, gritting his teeth, darting amongst the warriors of both sides, at tis silencing foes with his Short Sword, at tis piercing skulls with his Flying Arrows, swiftly claiming the lives of over thirty Beastn, his keen eyes letting him draw his bow over and over, half his body covered in blood.
Despite his sharp eyes, des hadn’t noticed that the brass chariot in the distance was now eerily empty.
A vast shadow stretched across the sky, and as des suddenly turned, his pupils shrank in shock.
