i Fang carried Xia Yuan on his back as they walked back to the car with Lin Youxi.

“Only walked a bit outside and your legs cramped up? Really sothing, Yuan Yuan.”

“Enough, enough… stop teasing !”

Xia Yuan huffed irritably near i Fang’s ear. “I feel like I’ll be bedridden for days…”

“It’s just cramps, not that serious.”

Lin Youxi patted Xia Yuan’s butt. “Rest today, you’ll be lively again tomorrow.”

“Ugh, I wish I recovered that fast!”

i Fang had already given Xia Yuan ergency massage and ice treatnt on the beach. After returning, he administered further massage therapy, greatly alleviating her pain.

That night, Xia Yuan went to bed early. Given her condition, i Fang also decided to conserve energy, simply giving Xia Yuan and Lin Youxi goodnight kisses before settling in.

“…”

“What should we do tonight? Ah Fang, stop playing with your phone!”

“Replying to ssages… not playing.”

i Fang placed his phone on the nightstand. “How about… ghost stories? Your favorite.”

“No no no! Just ntioning it reminds of that silhouette-in-the-window story!”

“Oh right, that classic. Wasn’t my mom still living with us back then?”

“Don’t bring back those mories!”

Xia Yuan’s protest carried a hint of tears, making i Fang and Lin Youxi realize she was genuinely scared. They quickly changed topics.

“Then no ghost stories. I’ll tell Yuan Yuan so bedti stories instead.”

“Ah Fang knows bedti stories?” Xia Yuan perked up imdiately.

i Fang nodded. “Been learning so recently when bored.”

“For future babies? That’s years away.”

Lin Youxi pinched i Fang’s abs teasingly. “Why so eager?”

“Not just for babies—can also entertain girlfriends. Mostly love-thed fairy tales.”

“I want to hear! I want to hear!”

Xia Yuan urged i Fang to begin.

“Alright, tonight’s story: ‘The Princess and the Dumb Knight.’ Long ago, a kingdom’s princess and her childhood knight-guardian secretly loved each other, but societal status kept them silent… Until one day—”

i Fang had barely started when Xia Yuan, hugging him, dozed off in his arms.

“Well then…”

“Keep going.”

Lin Youxi nuzzled i Fang’s ear, whispering coquettishly. So i Fang continued the tale while cradling Xia Yuan, spinning his prepared stories for his beloveds.

anwhile, the dreaming Xia Yuan found herself in a warm, sunlit bedroom where a cradle gently rocked. i Fang sat beside it, reading a picture book to the baby inside.

A mature, wife-like Lin Youxi approached. “Ah Fang, why read to her so early? She’s too young to understand.”

“Of course she understands—she’s our daughter.”

Wow, Youxi and Ah Fang already have a daughter! Let see…

As Xia Yuan moved closer, i Fang abruptly picked her up and set her farther away.

“Ah, don’t co near! You’ll make the baby sick…”

Wait—picked up? Make baby sick—

Xia Yuan looked at her hands—now pudgy little paws!

ow! I turned into a cat!

Torn between delight and dismay, Xia Yuan heard Lin Youxi intercede:

“Little Bai just wants to see the baby. It’s fine if you hold her at a distance.”

“Okay… but only a quick look.”

i Fang lifted Xia Yuan (now cat Xia Yuan) for a peek into the cradle. To her shock, the baby staring back—though slightly dopey-looking—had her exact face!

“Like what you see, Little Bai? This is our daughter Yuan Yuan. She’ll be the happiest child, with and Youxi as parents—”

“ow! Mrow! owowow!”

“What’s wrong with Little Bai?”

“Probably agreeing with us? We’ve taken good care of her too, ahahaha—”

Xia Yuan struggled in i Fang’s grip, kicking furiously. Heartbroken, she kept thrashing until distant calls of “Yuan Yuan” gradually roused her.

“Nightmare?”

Facing i Fang’s concerned gaze, the disoriented Xia Yuan imdiately teared up, arms outstretched for a hug.

“Ah Fang, you heartless jerk! Waaah—”

“How am I heartless…”

“You dumped in the dream! Hmph!”

Xia Yuan pouted, lightly nibbling i Fang’s neck in protest.

i Fang endured the bites while comforting her. “Alright alright, my bad. Won’t happen again.”

“There better not be a next ti! Or I’ll eat you! Rawr—”

Their playful tussling was careful not to disturb the still-sleeping Lin Youxi.

“So your legs don’t hurt now?”

“Mhm… no pain.”

Xia Yuan rubbed her head. “But my head aches.”

“That’s normal after dreams…”

i Fang squeezed Xia Yuan’s butt, fingers sinking in. “More sleep? Or breakfast?”

“Mmm…”

Nuzzling into i Fang’s chest, Xia Yuan flushed.

“You and Youxi duo-queued without yesterday.”

“Making balance things again? But we did it right beside you…”

“Don’t care… Plus I had that awful dream, so I—”

Xia Yuan suddenly clutched her mouth, stomach churning.

“Not feeling well? Water? Need the bathroom?”

“Urp—”

After composing herself atop i Fang, the nausea passed.

“Better now.”

i Fang grew slightly suspicious.

As he hesitated, Xia Yuan leaned down for kisses.

What began normally soon had Xia Yuan gagging again, cheeks puffing.

“Ghk—”

i Fang wiped his face and exited the bathroom, waiting outside while Xia Yuan cleaned up.

With growing suspicion, he fetched a pregnancy test and knocked.

“Test this?”

“Okay…”

Blushing, Xia Yuan agreed.

anwhile, Lin Youxi had changed the soiled bedsheets and sat yawning.

“Sorry for waking you.”

“It’s fine, I’m an early riser.”

Lin Youxi stretched. “Oddly slept deep today—must’ve been your storytelling.”

“Just stuff I found online! Not original.”

“But I loved it.”

Lin Youxi smiled.

When Xia Yuan finally erged, both asked:

“Well? Positive?”

Xia Yuan shook her head, handing the test to i Fang.

“Must’ve just been stomach issues then…”

As i Fang moved to discard it, Lin Youxi snatched the stick.

“…”

Lin Youxi held up the test, her trembling hands displaying rare shock—an expression unseen since i Fang’s confession.

Two… two lines!

Distinctly visible.

i Fang took the test with shaking hands, scrutinized it, then bead at the scratching-her-head Xia Yuan before sweeping her into an ecstatic embrace.

“We’re… going to be parents!”

“No way! Let see—I only saw one line earlier! Was I blind?”

Xia Yuan rechecked the test. Overjoyed, i Fang rembered to comfort the smiling Lin Youxi, squeezing her hand gently.

“Yuan Yuan’s succeeded. Yours will co soon too.”

“No need to balance things here, dummy.”

Lin Youxi said warmly, “Shout your first-ti father joy freely. I’m equally happy for you both.”

“What ‘you both’? It’s all three of us!”

Xia Yuan grabbed Lin Youxi’s hand earnestly. “You’re also this baby’s mom—we’re becoming mothers together! Don’t leave alone in this.”

“Of course not.”

Lin Youxi nodded. “I’ll start preparing special pregnancy als. No picky eating.”

“Waaah… so an!”

With Xia Yuan’s successful pregnancy, the shotgun wedding plan entered Phase One—but the operable tifra shrank drastically.

Their fitness routines now served dual purposes: pregnancy health and wedding prep.

Wedding arrangents had been ready since graduation—only parental approval for the triad remained.

Thus, Xia Yuan had to start hinting to her parents. That evening, she video-called ho, where her father Xia Xun answered.

“Yuan Yuan? What’s up?” His calm voice couldn’t mask his delight.

“Mom’s phone—why you answering? Put Mom on!”

“She’s showering.”

Xia Xun paused. “You never call at this hour. Sothing wrong?”

“Nothing… just—”

Xia Yuan forced out awkward words. “Just… missed you guys. Been so long.”

“Coming ho?”

Xia Xun instantly tensed. “Fight with Youxi? Or did i Fang hurt you?”

“Of course not! I’m super happy here! Except…”

Xia Yuan hesitated. “This is too weird with you. I need Mom.”

“…She’s out now. Wait.”

Xia Xun aid the cara at his stunning wife Teacher Yu, who took the phone while drying her hair.

“What is it, Yuan Yuan?”

Teacher Yu’s flawless, youthful complexion—more radiant than ever—epitomized reverse aging.

As Xia Yuan prepared to speak, she paused. “Dad left? Private stuff.”

Teacher Yu glanced off-cara at the eavesdropping Xia Xun.

“Hubby, out. Girl talk.”

“Mm.”

Xia Xun slunk away defeated.

“Close the door, Dad!”

His head popped back in to shut it properly.

“Alright… Dad’s gone. What is it?”

“Well… um—”

Xia Yuan gathered courage. “ being with Youxi all this ti… Mom thinks that’s okay?”

Teacher Yu tilted her head. “You two fought?”

“No no! I an… we’re very happy together.”

“But… even after all these years, we… never really got over Ah Fang.”

“Not just as friends, right?”

Xia Yuan nodded.

“Sigh…”

Teacher Yu sighed. “After so long, you three’s dynamics—you think we parents who raised you wouldn’t notice?”

“Um… so—”

Though she’d suspected, hearing it directly reassured Xia Yuan. Not stopping us is tacit approval, right?

“Given your success now, these matters are yours to handle. As long as you’re happy—Ah Fang would never wrong you—”

Just as Teacher Yu comforted her, Xia Xun barged in pretending to fetch sothing. Silence fell.

Finally, Xia Xun addressed the cara sternly:

“Yuan Yuan, is i Fang there? Did he put you up to this?”

“Dad! You were eavesdropping? So an!”

Xia Yuan scowled, but Xia Xun stood firm.

“If you have sothing to say, let that ‘Webmaster’ say it himself! Pushing you forward shows no sincerity—how can he protect you as CEO?”

Xia Yuan bristled. “You don’t know Ah Fang! This was my idea—”

i Fang entered fra, calming her. “Uncle Xia, I’ll visit personally to explain everything.”

Xia Xun rely grunted in acknowledgnt. Suddenly, Teacher Yu raised her hand excitedly:

“Why don’t we visit you instead? Avoid all those Bai Zhou county officials bothering you—I’ve never seen your Pengcheng Bay penthouse!”

She produced a travel guide. “Let’s make it a three-family trip! We’ve never vacationed together properly!”

The unexpected proposal left everyone—including Xia Xun—stunned, dissolving the tension into laughter.

“Again? We just went to Pengcheng.”

“But Youxi’s family missed last ti! This way, all three families can chat over als—I’ve already made itineraries!”
