When i Fang entered Xia Yuan’s room, he saw her sprawled out on the bed, fully demonstrating what it ant to be sleeping sweetly.

Because Youxi had the habit of hogging the covers, and i Fang would usually lie in the middle, when they all slept together, YuanYuan often ended up getting shoved to the edge of the bed from tugging at i Fang—so it had actually been a while since she’d slept so comfortably lying flat.

i Fang quietly ca to sit at the edge of Xia Yuan’s bed.

Although there was no snoring, Xia Yuan seed to be murmuring sothing, like she was talking in her sleep. From ti to ti, she would suddenly call out i Fang’s na loudly.

“Ah Fang… Ah Fang…”

Dreaming and still calling my na, huh?

Then, Xia Yuan’s sleep talk got a little quieter, so i Fang leaned in to listen—and just then, Xia Yuan suddenly thrashed and waved her hand.

Pa! She just so happened to give i Fang a slap in the face.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, Ah Fang!”

“I didn’t an to…”

“Who told you to go out and find so other woman—”

Xia Yuan loudly blurted out her dreamtalk, then turned over. While i Fang was rubbing his cheek, Xia Yuan swung her fist at him for a fatal strike.

“I’m sorry, I love you, I’m sorry I love you, I’m sorry—”

Once i Fang caught her fist, Xia Yuan stopped struggling. i Fang gritted his teeth and endured the pain as he gently placed her hand back, then raised his hand intending to knock her on the head—but paused as it hovered above her forehead.

Damn it, I raised such a big wife myself—how could I bear to hurt her…

As i Fang sat at the bedside tangled in his thoughts, the sound of soone knocking ca from the door.

Lin Youxi was standing at the entrance to Xia Yuan’s room, looking at her and i Fang.

“So it turns out, YuanYuan doesn’t snore either.”

Lin Youxi and i Fang sat at the bedside, admiring Xia Yuan’s profile.

“YuanYuan looks like she’s sleeping really soundly.”

“Mm, yeah…”

Lin Youxi glanced at i Fang, her expression full of suspicion:

“Aren’t you even going to check if she’s pretending to sleep?”

“Like this… should be no need to check, right?”

“That’s nice—because it’s YuanYuan, there’s no need to test at all.”

Lin Youxi murmured with a calm face, “I have to pinch her, squeeze her, and even kiss her…”

i Fang blushed bright red hearing Lin Youxi tease him. “So you were pretending to be asleep!”

“You only ca to check on us after an hour. How could I have had that much sleep left?”

Lin Youxi patted i Fang’s leg and teased him: “Still, I never expected our Ah Fang would be the type to take advantage when no one’s looking.”

“Eye… for an eye, that’s all. This morning, didn’t you also—”

Before i Fang could finish speaking, Lin Youxi covered his mouth. She smiled softly and said, “I never said you couldn’t. Honestly… it’s kind of fun once in a while.”

While the two of them were flirting back and forth, the well-rested Xia Yuan slowly woke up. Seeing Lin Youxi and i Fang sitting at her bedside, she rubbed her eyes and sat up, then imdiately pounced into i Fang’s arms to act spoiled.

“I had such a scary dream, Ah Fang.”

“Ah…”

“I dread that you were cheating on —with Youxi and so other woman behind my back, and I caught you.”

“I cried and asked you, since you already had and Youxi, why weren’t you satisfied.”

“You told us, how could ho compare to the thrill of the wild, you were already tired of the two of us.”

“Then I got really mad and cried as I don’t know where I pulled out a dagger.”

“And then I just kept stabbing you, stabbing you… and then, and then…”

“Could you not dream in such vivid detail? Just hearing it gives the chills…”

After all, i Fang had gotten smacked just now. YuanYuan wasn’t just making stuff up—she really did have a bit of that yandere potential.

Lin Youxi, curious, asked from the side: “Say, if Ah Fang really cheated, YuanYuan, would you really stab him like that?”

“I… I’m not really sure, probably would? What about you, Youxi?”

“I’ve never really thought about that.”

Lin Youxi rested her chin in her hand and looked at i Fang. “I think the two of us are so pretty, it’s probably hard for Ah Fang to fall for soone else. I an, if he were going to get tired of us, it would’ve happened years ago.”

i Fang frowned, visibly annoyed. “Weren’t we talking about snoring? How’d this turn into a conversation about punishing for cheating? I already said I’ll only ever love the two of you this lifeti. If you’re still suspicious after that, it really hurts my feelings.”

“No no no, I didn’t an it like that… I was just sharing my dream’s details.”

Xia Yuan got up as she spoke. “So, did I snore during today’s nap?”

“You talked in your sleep, but no snoring.”

“See? I knew it was Youxi—”

“Youxi didn’t snore either.”

i Fang paused before continuing, “Looking at it this way, maybe the snoring was just a one-off event. Let’s not overthink it…”

i Fang was mid-sentence when Lin Youxi suddenly stopped him.

“Listen.”

“……”

Xia Yuan and i Fang perked up their ears and listened carefully. They really did hear a faint snoring sound.

“T-That’s it! Is the snoring really that loud?” i Fang was surprised. “It’s like my dad’s motorcycle—so noisy.”

“Sounds like it’s coming from outside the window.”

So i Fang opened the window in Xia Yuan’s room to look outside, while Lin Youxi and Xia Yuan held onto him to make sure he didn’t fall.

“Wuwu, Ah Fang didn’t secretly hide so girl at ho, did he?”

As i Fang climbed back in from the window, he finally took the chance to knock Xia Yuan on the head.

“If I were sneaking around with a mistress, why would I keep her at ho? Are you a pigbrain?”

“I was just kidding! Ah Fang is so serious—do you not love anymore, wuwu…”

“Okay, no more joking. I think the sound is coming from the balcony outside the master bedroom. Let’s check it out.”

The group headed to the master bedroom in search of the snoring’s source. The sliding window to the balcony was open, and outside lay a chubby three-colored cat. It was lying on its side basking in the sun, snoring loudly.

“So this cat is the one keeping from sleeping.”

i Fang was imdiately annoyed. “Why didn’t we see it during the day?”

“This is the third floor! It climbed this high up just to sunbathe? That’s weird.”

“Our apartnt complex has wire sh burglar bars on the first and second floors. Only the third floor balcony can be reached by jumping. It’s pretty normal.”

Lin Youxi, Xia Yuan, and i Fang squatted down to observe the cat. It looked like a female stray.

“But either way, this cat snores way too loud. It’s like a human—maybe there’s sothing wrong with her health.”

Xia Yuan looked at the cat worriedly. “She looks kind of sick to … like weak and listless.”

Looking at the fat little female cat in front of them, i Fang suddenly had a special thought. He shared it with Xia Yuan and Lin Youxi on the spot:

“What do you think, should we take her to a pet hospital for a check-up?”

“Ah Fang, you want to keep a cat?” Lin Youxi asked in surprise. “If you want a cat, wouldn’t it be easier and more hassle-free to buy one from a pet store?”

“Not really… I just feel like this is fate. If she were to die in our ho, that wouldn’t be very lucky either.”

“Lucky or not, I still think it’s a pretty rare bond!”

Xia Yuan also agreed with i Fang. “Let’s take her for a check-up! I’ve always wanted to keep a pet.”

“ too, kind of.”

“You want one too, Ah Fang?”

Lin Youxi smiled and said, “Did you forget how you used to get scared stiff by frogs?”

“Frogs and cats aren’t the sa! Cats are soft and fluffy—so cute.”

In his past life, i Fang had once co close to owning a dog. But his mom, Xiang Xiaoxia, ended up giving it away, saying, “We can’t even afford to raise people—how can we raise a dog?” Little i Fang was devastated for a long ti.

“I like cats too. Let’s take her to the vet for help!”

“Whatever you guys want. I’m fine with anything.”

And so the three of them hurriedly scooped up the female calico cat and rushed her to the hospital for an exam. After checking her out, the vet said to i Fang, “She’s suffering from fever and faintness caused by physical weakness. Nothing too serious.”

“Mm, I understand. Thank you, doctor.”

“You’re welco, just fill this out—oh, by the way, this cat… is already pregnant.”
