Only After I Was Reborn Did I Realize That I Had Childhood Sweethearts Chapter 313: The Lawyers Letter
After much persuasion from i Fang and Lin Youxi, Li Xiang and Dong Zhongying reluctantly called their parents—Xiang Xiaoxia and Liang ijuan.
This was all part of Youxi’s master plan.
By forcing a public confession, they could:
Announce their relationship openlyDispel the “howrecker” rumorsReveal their identities as C-site foundersUse the parent-teacher eting to break the news to their families
It was a flawless strategy—avoiding awkward explanations while ensuring swift acceptance from both parents and the public.
Call with Xiang Xiaoxia:
“Hello, is this i Fang’s parent? Your child—”
“Ugh, if you’re calling to say my son got hit by a car and needs money for treatnt, at least co up with a new scam—”
“Wait! I’m his horoom teacher, Dong Zhongying!”
After verifying his identity, Dong explained the situation: “We’re calling about your son’s… early romance at school.”
“Oh… that.”
Xiang Xiaoxia remained unfazed. This kid—can’t keep his love life private? She just hoped Xia Yuan wouldn’t suffer collateral damage.
“Teenagers dating is normal. Discipline him, but don’t force a breakup. My son’s circumstances are… unique.”
(Internally: My millionaire CEO son shouldn’t be shad for dating! This teacher’s an idiot!)
When Dong clarified i Fang was now with Lin Youxi, the line went silent—followed by an earth-shaking roar:
“WHERE IS THAT LITTLE BRAT? PUT HIM ON THE PHONE!”
i Fang frantically gestured for Dong to save him.
“Ah, he’s… writing his confession now. Since you’re in Baizhou, we’ll handle it—”
“I’LL BE THERE TOMORROW!”
anwhile, Li Xiang’s call with Liang ijuan:
In stark contrast, Liang ijuan reacted with calm confusion, promising to discuss it with Youxi that evening.
Back in the Office:
i Fang and Youxi drafted their confessions.
“How do you format these? I’ve never written one before,” Youxi admitted.
“Neither have I, but my dad wrote plenty—for smoking, drinking, gambling…”
(Their real mission: Crafting a legally sound statent to preempt further harassnt.)
The Walk of Sha (Triumph):
Erging from the office, the couple faced a gauntlet of whispers—until i Fang boldly grabbed Youxi’s hand.
“Let them talk,” he whispered.
“Agreed.”
Youxi swung their clasped hands defiantly as they marched down the hallway, silencing gossips mid-sentence.
Confrontation:
At Youxi’s classroom door, they encountered Fang Yan—fresh from her own scolding.
“Stealing soone’s boyfriend and flaunting it? Disgusting,” she spat.
“Watch your mouth,” i Fang snapped.
Youxi rely smiled and pulled out her phone.
“By the way, Fang Yan—expect a cease-and-desist letter from our lawyers for defamation. The photo you took? Illegal surveillance. The post? Cyberbullying.”
She leaned in. “C-site’s legal team loves making examples of people like you.”
Fang Yan paled.
i Fang stepped forward, shielding Youxi. “You’re 18 now—old enough to know slander carries legal consequences.”
“Slander?!” Fang Yan scoffed. “We’ve all known about your affair for ages! Even Ce-jie saw you two making out! Stop pretending, you cheating—”
“One more word,” i Fang growled, “and I’ll—”
“Ah Fang, why bother reasoning with strays?”
Youxi patted his shoulder. “I’ll handle this. Wouldn’t want them photoshopping you bullying girls.”
As i Fang left, Fang Yan’s clique circled Youxi—though notably missing Shang Ce.
“Think you’re untouchable? You’ve just angered all of Xia Yuan’s fans,” Fang Yan sneered. “Do you even know how many followers she has on C-site?”
Youxi smiled. “Haven’t checked lately.”
“My boyfriend—a 100K-follower C-site creator—already uploaded that photo. By tonight, your reputation will be ruined.”
“Oh no…”
Youxi feigned i Fang’s nervous tic. “100K followers? Which account? Let verify—”
“Doesn’t matter! Just wait for the internet hate brigade!”
“Sure.” I’ll just check the backend logs later.
Fang Yan’s friends jeered:
-“Howreckers deserve this!”
-“We won’t go easy on you!”
“You should prepare too,” Youxi said calmly. “Unlike Ah Fang and Yuan Yuan… I don’t forgive.”
She locked eyes with Fang Yan. “Expect a lawyer’s letter. Are you all accomplices? I can CC everyone.”
Fang Yan burst out laughing. “Lawyer’s letter?! Who do you think you are? So legal drama protagonist?”
Her friends cackled until Youxi added:
“I did pick up so law… when I sent my uncle to prison.”
The laughter died.
“W-what?”
Whispers erupted:
-“Did she really jail her uncle?”
-“Bullshit! Country bumpkins don’t—”
But Fang Yan’s bravado faltered as Youxi walked away, back straight.
Her plan hinged on one truth: Xia Yuan must feel betrayed.
No way would Yuan tolerate her best friend dating her ex so soon. Their strained interactions today proved it.
Once Yuan’s fan army mobilized tonight, Youxi would drown in hate.
Just imagining her downfall…
Fang Yan shuddered with glee.
