The monsters imprisoned in the Tower of Death were not very powerful. John and his companions had traversed through dozens of space layers, only encountering a nine-star monster.
John had planned to capture it, but the creature was resolute in its defiance and preferred death over submission. He swiftly ended its life.
The group moved to another space layer, only to find that all the demons had already been slaughtered, yet there was still no sign of Jean and the others.
"Human, I need to rest for a while," dusa said, her face pale and her voice weak.
Constantly opening space channels was taking a toll on her.
John wasn't in a hurry, so he agreed to take a short break.
The group rested for a while.
Soon, dusa had regained enough strength and continued to tear open the space to continue their journey.
Buzz!
A spatial power ripple, and in the next mont, they disappeared, appearing in a completely unknown space.
It was a dim, gray area, silent and lifeless.
Creak!
A sharp, crunching sound of bones breaking ca from under John's feet.
As they looked around, they saw the ground littered with white bones, sending chills down their spines.
Clank... clank...
From the depths of space, the sound of chains echoed.
"Bad news! This is the last layer of the Tower of Death! We need to leave, now!" dusa exclaid, panic flooding her expression. She tried to tear open another space channel, but it was already too late.
Buzz!
The space trembled as a powerful force completely sealed off the area, and a terrifying pressure spread through the space.
"dusa, so it's really you!" a furious voice rang out. The mist around them dissipated, and in the distance, a giant figure erged. It had deep blue skin, and its body was shackled by dozens of chains.
"Ten-Star Emperor, Sea God Gaka!" Immortal King also gasped, his face filled with fear. He had always thought this figure was rely a legend, but it seed that the Tower of Death really held a ten-star powerhouse.
Clang!
A massive chain whizzed through the air, swinging toward the group.
John felt an overwhelming aura, and before he could react, the entire space seed to be locked down, leaving him unable to move.
In his panic, John imdiately activated Diamond Body Protection, enveloping himself in a golden light.
Boom!
The chain struck down. In an instant, the golden light shattered, and John vomited blood as he was sent flying backwards.
None of them stood a chance against the force of the chain's attack.
"Master, please spare ..." dusa cried out in terror, repeatedly begging for rcy.
The chain ignored John and his companions, focusing its furious strikes on him.
He was a nine-star powerhouse, but facing a ten-star Emperor, he had no ans of defense.
"Human, help !" he cried frantically to John.
The group rely watched coldly, with no intention of intervening.
Even though John wanted to act, he knew he wasn't a match for this being either.
Fortunately, the Sea God was bound by several chains that held him fast, limiting his movents.
Despite this, the chain under his control continued to restrain dusa.
He didn't kill her outright but instead dragged dusa toward him. Coldly, he said, "Hand over the crown, and I'll spare your dog's life."
"Master, the crown is not with ," dusa whined, collapsing like a lifeless dog on the ground, desperately pleading.
"Master?"
John thought, his interest piqued by the way she addressed this being.
So, this Sea God, Gaka, was actually dusa's master.
"Hmm?" John furrowed his brow. He hadn't sensed any trace of the crown on this creature.
Clank!
With a tug of the chain, dusa was yanked before Gaka. He glared coldly at her, saying, "Where is my crown?"
dusa struggled and trembled, answering, "Senren took it. Master, I ca to rescue you, but that Senren captured and locked here."
John sneered upon hearing her words.
He was certain that dusa had no such intention to rescue anyone. The audacity of this creature was beyond belief.
"Really?" Gaka clearly didn't believe her. He coldly said, "Do you really think I won't kill
you?"
"Master, I'm telling the truth! You can ask them!" dusa, in her panic, pointed toward John and his companions.
So, she was trying to shift the bla onto others!
John frowned as he observed Gaka, who was tightly bound by chains, restrained against a massive stone pillar, and with little room to move. With so courage, he stepped forward. "Human, help !" dusa saw a glimr of hope and frantically turned to John for help.
He ignored her completely, instead bowing respectfully to Gaka. "Senior, have you ever seen an old man and a little girl?"
"Mm? Nature God, Jean?" Gaka looked at him suspiciously.
John's eyes lit up, and he nodded eagerly. "Yes. Senior, have you seen them?"
He didn't find the two of them here, and a wave of worry swept over him. He feared they
might have already t their end.
However, he didn't sense any malice from Gaka.
Clank.
Gaka casually tossed dusa to the ground, his gaze turning curious as he sized up the group. His eyes locked onto John, and he asked, "You're from the Initial World as well?"
John froze for a mont, then nodded, not hiding the truth.
Gaka continued, "Unfortunately, you're too late. Half a month ago, those two were captured
by Senren. Right now, their chances of survival are slim."
"They're not here?" John imdiately asked, "Senior, do you know where they are now?"
Gaka shook his head. He was unable to leave this place, and he had no idea where the two had been taken, but he was certain they were no longer in the Tower of Death. John's concern for their safety grew, and he hurriedly asked, "Senior, can you help us leave?"
Gaka glanced at dusa, who was trembling on the ground, and shook his head helplessly. "I can't help you. The space of the Tower of Death has been repaired. This one can't leave either,
unless..."
He looked at the chains on his body and sighed helplessly.
"Senior, unless what?" John imdiately pressed.
Gaka tugged at the heavy chains around him and said in a flat tone, "Unless I regain my
freedom, I could break the Tower of Death. But that's impossible."
"I can try." John was determined to save the two of them, and he could feel that Gaka
harbored no ill will.
"Senior, I beg your pardon." Stepping back a pace, John tightly gripped his United Sword and activated his Immortal Art, Nine Heavens Sword.
Buzz!
The sword humd with power as a terrifying beam of sword energy tore through the sky, slashing downward with imnse force.
Clang!
The massive sword beam struck the chains, sending sparks flying, yet the chains remained completely undamaged.
Gaka looked on indifferently and spoke, "Kid, it's useless. These chains are sothing I can't
even break, let alone you."
John frowned, feeling helpless for a mont.
"Master," dusa's eyes shifted, and she quickly said, "The Sea God Trident can definitely
cut through the chains on you."
"Hmph!" Gaka scoffed dismissively, lifting dusa once again, his killing intent surging. "What, now you want to steal my weapon? Do you think you're worthy?"
dusa struggled, shaking his head repeatedly. "Master, I really ca to rescue 1."
Gaka didn't believe him at all, but still spoke, "I'll tell you anyway. You're not worthy of the
Sea God Trident."
With that, he shook the chains around his body, and they slamd heavily against the
massive stone pillar behind him.
Boom!
A loud rumble echoed as debris flew everywhere, revealing the true nature of the stone pillar
-it was actually a massive harpoon.
It was Gaka's weapon, the Sea God Trident.
dusa couldn't help but swallow, a greedy glint in his eyes, but he dared not show it.
He knew that even though Gaka was bound, he could still easily kill him if he wanted to.
Quickly, he said, "Master, let try. Perhaps I can truly break the chains on you."
Gaka scoffed, but still threw dusa back onto the ground.
dusa's eyes lit up with excitent, and he hurried over to the giant trident. Spreading his
arms wide, he could barely wrap his arms around it.
"Lift!" he shouted, his muscles bulging as he gritted his teeth, using all his strength.
But the massive harpoon didn't budge.
Gaka looked on coldly, saying, "I told you. You're not worthy. Even if I gave you the Sea God
Trident, you wouldn't have the right to wield it."
dusa's brows furrowed in frustration. His expression was one of unwillingness as he transford into his true form-a massive golden serpent.
His huge body coiled around the Sea God Trident, and he pulled with all his might, trying to
yank it from the ground.
But still, it didn't budge-not even the slightest movent. It was as if the weapon had fused
with the earth itself and couldn't be moved.
"Hah..." dusa panted lightly, reverting to his humanoid form, disbelief written all over his
face. "Impossible. I'm a nine-star powerhouse, and I've refined the crown. How can I not pull
the Sea God Trident out?"
He suspected that Gaka was secretly sabotaging him.
John, curious, spoke up. "Senior, may I give it a try?"
Gaka nodded. He didn't believe John was qualified to pull out the Sea God Trident either.
dusa frowned and stepped aside.
John walked up to the massive harpoon, spread his arms, and embraced it with all his might,
but it didn't move an inch.
Gaka spoke indifferently, "Kid, it's useless. To pull out the Sea God Trident, you must first gain its approval. Otherwise, it would have already been taken by Senren."
John refused to give up.
"Heaven and Earth Transformation!" He activated his divine skill, and with a deafening roar,
violent winds howled, and an overwhelming pressure filled the space. His form began to shift into a towering giant, even larger than Gaka.
"Hmm?" Gaka studied him with a hint of surprise. "Interesting."
John slightly bent down, gripping the Sea God Trident with both hands.
"Lift!" He shouted furiously, his arm muscles bulging, his expression intense as he pushed
himself to the limit.
Boom... boom... boom...
The ground shook as the Sea God Trident quivered slightly.
"The Rebel Against Heaven!" Gaka exclaid, his expression filled with shock and disbelief.
He could sense the aura radiating from John, and he never expected that even in the Tower of Death, he would encounter a Rebel Against Heaven.
The massive Sea God Trident was slowly being pulled from the ground, and John's forehead
was already drenched in sweat.
The power of the Necromancer, Chaos Force, and his spiritual energy surged within him,
barely enough to shift the weapon.
Boom!
With a trendous roar, the entire space trembled violently as John finally managed to pull
the Sea God Trident free.
But this effort had drained all his strength. He couldn't hold the trident, let alone wield it, and
it ca crashing down, falling swiftly toward the ground.
"Watch out!" Gaka's face changed slightly. With a flick of his wrist, the chains in his hand
swung through the air, wrapping around the Sea God Trident before it hit the ground, slamming it down forcefully.
