Of course the cute void dragon gets the ridiculously overpowered offensive domain, Arthur thought with wry amusent at his own jealousy. While I get the support-type domain that requires strategy to maximize.
But he pushed the jealousy aside quickly, recognizing it for what it was—a montary emotional response that didn’t diminish the genuine value of what he’d gained. His domain served different purposes, and comparing them directly was pointless.
Besides, Aether was his summon. The void dragon’s overwhelming power was Arthur’s power by extension.
"This is incredible work, Aether," Arthur said genuinely, reaching out to pat his companion’s small head despite the weightless environnt making the gesture awkward. "Your comprehension of space is remarkable. The ancient dragon taught you well during your trial."
"Hehe!" Aether giggled with pure joy at the praise, doing another happy barrel roll through the void. "Master really thinks so? Aether worked really hard to understand all the confusing space-fabric and star-making stuff!"
"I do think so," Arthur confird warmly. "Your domain is one of the most lethal I can imagine. Any enemy trapped in here would face impossible odds."
As Arthur spoke, observing the way Aether’s domain functioned, how the spatial manipulation allowed for stellar creation and weaponization, how gravity and dinsional geotry could be bent to create both projectile weapons and mythical-rank attacks, he felt sothing shift within his own understanding.
The Space talent that had been sitting at 0% comprehension began responding to what he was witnessing. Not through struggle or trial, but through observation and analysis of how another being had manifested spatial principles as domain authority.
[Space Talent: 2%]
Arthur’s eyes widened slightly at the notification. His comprehension of space had increased just from witnessing and understanding Aether’s domain chanics. The jealousy he’d felt monts before transford into satisfaction—this was exactly what he’d hoped would happen.
He could feel the change imdiately. His spatial manipulation beca more refined, his teleportation range extended noticeably, and his understanding of how space could be weaponized deepened substantially. The 2% increase represented real, tangible advancent in his mastery of spatial principles.
Observing other domains can accelerate comprehension, Arthur realized with growing excitent. If I study how my summons manifest their authorities, how they bend reality through their talents, I can deepen my own understanding without needing separate trials.
This opened new possibilities for advancent. He had nearly fifty summons now, many of whom had just reached level 25 and would be awakening their own domains. Each successful domain awakening represented a potential learning opportunity, a chance to observe how different talents manifested as territorial authority.
"Aether, your domain has taught sothing valuable," Arthur said, genuine gratitude coloring his voice. "Not just about combat applications, but about fundantal spatial principles. Thank you for showing ."
"Master learned from watching Aether?" The void dragon’s eyes grew impossibly wide with pride. "That ans Aether is a good teacher! Like the big ancient dragon was for Aether!"
Arthur smiled at his companion’s innocent excitent. "Yes, you’re an excellent teacher. Your domain shows principles I hadn’t fully grasped before—how space can be manipulated to create matter, how stellar bodies represent concentrated spatial geotry, how gravity itself is just curved dinsional fabric made manifest."
He could feel his Space talent strengthening even as he articulated these concepts, the 2% comprehension translating to power across all his spatial applications. His teleportation felt smoother, more efficient. His dinsional awareness sharpened.
The limitations he’d been working within expanded noticeably.
This is how I’ll advance my other talents, Arthur concluded with satisfaction. Not just through personal trials and struggles, but by learning from those around who’ve succeeded in their own comprehension. My summons beco teachers, their domains beco textbooks written in the language of reality itself.
Aether deactivated his domain after a few more minutes, allowing reality to snap back to the normal forest clearing. The stellar void dissolved, gravity reasserted itself, and they all settled back onto solid ground with varying degrees of grace.
Arthur felt the lingering effects of his enhanced spatial comprehension, the 2% increase having permanently improved his capabilities. He opened his status screen to confirm:
[Space (SSS): 2%]
Real progress. And he had dozens more opportunities waiting as his other summons completed their trials and awakened their own domains.
---
Arthur checked in on his other summons to see how their individual trials had progressed. Through his telepathic connections, he could sense each summon’s status, feeling the echoes of their domain awakening attempts across both worlds.
The legendary-rank summons had all completed significant portions of their trials, though none had achieved the instant success that Neko had managed. Of course, that made perfect sense—Neko was a primordial lucky cat, fundantally different from even legendary creatures. Her talent literally made fortune favor her, including the trial itself.
Still, the progress from his other summons was impressive. Most of his legendary-rank creatures had reached approximately 7-8% comprehension during their trials, representing substantial advancent toward the 10% threshold needed for domain awakening.
The Mane King stood at 8%, having witnessed visions of absolute dominance and territorial sovereignty during his trial. Bloom had reached 7%, confronting the fundantal nature of ntal manipulation and psychic control. The Cackle Queen hovered at 7%, her trial apparently involving the weaponization of madness and hysteria.
Curious about whether this rate was actually exceptional or just seed that way to his inexperienced assessnt, Arthur turned to his most knowledgeable summons.
"Winter Beast, Flamingo—when you underwent your domain trials, how much progress did you achieve in comparable tifras?"
"Seven to eight percent? That’s remarkable for legendary-rank entities, Master. During my own domain awakening centuries ago, I achieved only 3-4% progress before my trial concluded. I spent decades afterward reaching the 10% threshold through natural comprehension."
The Flamingo’s twin heads nodded in agreent. "Your summons are progressing at roughly double the normal rate for creatures of their rank. Whether that’s due to their connection to you as their summoner or their own exceptional qualities, it represents extraordinary developnt."
Arthur nodded with understanding, satisfaction building in his chest. His legendary summons were different after all—as entities bonded to him through his Primordial Summoner talent, they were inherently more powerful than wild creatures of equivalent rank.
