Arthur's breath caught as his summon's vision landed on the source of the glow.
There it was—the Silver Serpent.
The massive snake coiled lazily atop a pile of bones and discarded remains.
Its scales shimred in light, illuminating the cave. The head of the serpent rested against the ground, its silver eyes half-lidded, giving the impression it was dozing.
Arthur stared at the shimring serpent.
Every predator and adventurer who had dared to challenge it had t the sa fate... consud.
The gaming interface appeared, displaying the stats of the creature before him.
[The Silver Serpent (Epic Boss - 99%)]
[Level:] 10
Description: This apex predator has ruled its domain for years, devouring anyone and anything foolish enough to enter its territory. Its mastery of its environnt and unparalleled cunning have pushed it to the brink of evolution. It was once a pseudo-elite, it slowly evolved into an elite boss. It is now undergoing a transformation into becoming an epic boss. If left uninterrupted, its strength will grow exponentially.
Arthur's breath hitched. "Level 10... and evolving to beco an epic boss?" he muttered under his breath. His heart pounded as the reality in front of him appeared grim.
"This thing isn't just a threat... it's a catastrophe waiting to happen. If it finishes evolving, I'm screwed..."
"Damn you John, your information is years behind..." He thought as he rembered John's description of the Serpent's power.
Arthur took a deep breath, steadying himself.
He knew what this ant.
'there was no ti to farm, no ti to level up further or prepare for this damn thing. I need to act now, or this serpent will beco almost impossible to beat in the duration I am given.'
"Hank, leave the cave imdiately." Arthur thought, before deactivating the link between them.
...
Outside, near the cave.
Arthur summoned all his beasts and started formulating a plan.
Arthur crouched low.
"Alright, listen up," he whispered. "We don't have much ti. Sunless, you'll go in first and draw its attention. You will be the main damage dealer, do not try to trade blows with it. Borak, you're next. You will charge at its sides and keep it busy, making sure that Sunless is not always targeted by the Serpent.
"Hank, attack from above. Go for its eyes if you can. Neko..." He trailed off, glancing at the cat, who yawned and stretched. "Go to sleep... that's what you are good at anyway."
Neko glanced at him for a second, then jumped on his shoulder.
Entering the dimly lit cave, Arthur and his summons positioned themselves carefully, their movents slow and quiet.
The massive Silver Serpent remained coiled atop a mound of bones.
Its silver eyes were half-closed, a sign of its evolution nearing completion.
Arthur raised his hand, signalling his summons to move.
No ti for hesitation. If the serpent evolved fully into an epic boss, the battle would beco much harder—possibly impossible.
"Sunless, go!" Arthur whispered sharply.
Sunless charged forward, its skeletal fra gliding across the cave floor. T
he sudden motion jolted the serpent awake. Its silver eyes snapped open, narrowing instantly at the intruders.
Hiss
With a deafening hiss, the Silver Serpent uncoiled its massive body, raising its head as it prepared to strike.
The serpent lashed out, its speed betraying its massive size. Its fangs are aid directly at Sunless. Sunless moved gracefully, twisted mid-charge and dodged, swiping at the serpent's face.
-25HP
"Good stuff sunless!" Arthur supported from the back.
The serpent recoiled slightly, its head shaking from the blow. But the attack seed to do little to phase the massive creature.
It let out a thunderous roar, its body coiling tighter as it lashed its tail across the ground in anger.
"Borak, now!" Arthur called.
Borak rushed in from the side, its tusks aid at the serpent's midsection. The Silver Serpent turned just in ti, whipping its tail toward Borak. The wild boar managed to lower its head, deflecting the blow partially but still getting knocked off balance.
-25HP
"It's okay, nice try Borak. We will get them next ti," Arthur supported from the backlines.

Borak snorted angrily, shaking off the impact. Without missing a beat, it charged again, ramming into the serpent's side.
-10 HP
"Good hit!" Arthur shouted, a flicker of hope igniting in his chest. "Keep it distracted!"
The Silver Serpent was now fully enraged, it reared back.
Its body shimred, and a pulse of silver energy coursed through its scales. Arthur's eyes widened in realization. "It's activating a skill! Everyone, dodge!"
The serpent lunged at Borak with lightning speed, its fangs sinking into the boar's flank.
-50HP
"Borak!"
Arthur shouted as he watched the fangs land on Borak with a grim face.
"Damn it!" Arthur cursed. "Sunless, get in there and take that damn reptile off of Borak!"
Sunless leapt forward, its clawed hands latching onto the serpent's neck. With a burst of strength, it pulled the serpent's head back, forcing it to release Borak.
The serpent's body writhed violently, slamming against the cave walls as it tried to dislodge Sunless.
"Hank, go for the eyes!" Arthur commanded.
The hawk who was circling above tid its dive carefully before swooping down. This ti, its talons struck true, raking across the serpent's left eye.
Critical Hit!
-20HP
The serpent let out a deafening screech, its body thrashing wildly in pain. Arthur seized the opportunity, unsheathing his dagger and rushing forward.
"Let's see how you like this!" he shouted, aiming for a vulnerable spot near the serpent's exposed underbelly.
The dagger plunged in deeply, and blood splattered across Arthur's hands.
-40HP
The serpent's health bar dipped, but it was far from defeated.
The Silver Serpent, despite its injuries, began to glow with a faint silver light. Arthur's instincts scread at him.
"Fall back! It's charging sothing big!"
The summons retreated quickly, with Borak limping slightly and Sunless releasing its hold on the serpent's neck.
The serpent reared up, its body coiled tightly as silver energy radiated from its scales. Then, with a sudden motion, it slamd its body into the ground, sending shockwaves throughout the cave.
Arthur was knocked off his feet, his health bar flashing as he took the brunt of the impact.
