Arthur’s eyes imdiately analysed the demonic forces before him, his system interface providing crucial intelligence about the enemy’s capabilities.
[Lesser Demon (Epic-Boss)]
[Level 10]
[Details: Considered a failed product of demon society, these creatures yearn to be recognised by the true demons. They co in all shapes and forms, whether humanoid or not. They are dangerous and should not be underestimated, even if they have a low concentration of demonic blood.]
Arthur’s expression grew grim as he processed this information. The demons had grown considerably stronger since the initial invasion waves. These were no longer the infant-level creatures that had erged from the first gates—these were the sa caliber of opponents he had faced during the trial where he had earned Chaos as a reward and obtained his protector badge.
The escalation was significant and troubling. If the dinsional invaders were now deploying higher level Epic-Boss level forces in coordinated assaults, humanity’s conventional military responses would prove utterly inadequate. Whilst they were certainly not enough to deal with the lower level epic-boss level demons coming out before, they were still able to at least have so impact.
Now? They were completely inadequate; the useful ray guns would no longer be useful.
Arthur imdiately activated his Primordial Summoner talent, calling forth the one summon whose abilities were perfectly suited for this type of large-scale engagent.
"Bloom," Arthur commanded as a dark portal materialised beside them.
The plant-based entity erged from the dinsional rift with his hysterical cackle, his grotesque form radiating malevolent intelligence as he surveyed the chaos below.
"Hehehe! What does my master need from his beautiful servant?" Bloom asked with sadistic enthusiasm, his ntal voice carrying anticipation for the destruction he was about to unleash.
Arthur’s instructions were precise and tactical. "I need you to seize control of the demons’ minds and turn them against each other. Create maximum chaos in their ranks through internal conflict."
Arthur also calculated additional opportunities that Bloom’s unique capabilities could provide.
"Additionally, probe their consciousness while you’re establishing control," Arthur continued with thoroughness. "Extract any useful information about their operational plans, strategic objectives, or intelligence about higher-level demonic forces."
Bloom’s response carried delighted malice as he prepared to demonstrate why he was Arthur’s most feared summoner among those who had faced his psychological warfare capabilities.
Whilst the Cackle Queen also had a psychological talent, it was more of a combat-oriented one, where she could stun her victims. As for Bloom, his talent allowed him to take control, alter and retain the mory of his victims, which made him truly fearso.
"Oh, master! You always give the most entertaining assignnts!" Bloom cackled with genuine pleasure. "These pathetic lesser demons won’t even realize what’s happening until they’re tearing each other apart!"
Bloom began releasing his specialised pollen into the air—microscopic particles that carried psychoactive compounds capable of overwhelming even Epic-rank creatures’ ntal defences. The invisible cloud spread rapidly through Port Huron’s streets, carried by wind currents that Bloom manipulated to ensure comprehensive coverage.
The pollen’s effectiveness against demons was particularly potent due to their reliance on rage and bloodlust for combat enhancent. Bloom’s compounds could hijack those emotional responses and redirect them according to his will, turning their greatest strengths into crippling vulnerabilities.
Within monts, the first signs of Bloom’s influence beca apparent among the demon ranks. Several demons suddenly turned on their companions with confused fury, their minds unable to distinguish between human prey and demonic allies under the influence of Bloom’s psychoactive manipulation.
"Hehe! They’re so simple-minded," Bloom reported with sadistic satisfaction. "Their thoughts are mostly focused on violence and recognition from superior demons. But master, I’m detecting sothing interesting in their deeper consciousness..."
Bloom’s ntal probing revealed disturbing intelligence about the coordinated nature of the current assault. The lesser demons weren’t operating independently—they were following orders transmitted through so form of hierarchical communication network that connected them to higher-ranking demonic entities.
"Master, they’re receiving tactical instructions from sothing much more powerful than themselves," Bloom reported with growing concern. "These attacks aren’t random—they’re part of a campaign to test humanity’s defensive capabilities and identify weaknesses for future exploitation."
The implications were chilling. Like I had thought, the dinsional invaders possessed military intelligence capabilities sophisticated enough to conduct reconnaissance and coordinate multi-front assaults; humanity was facing a far more organised and dangerous enemy than previously understood.
Arthur’s calculations shifted as he absorbed this intelligence. The demons weren’t just seeking destruction—they were gathering information for larger operations that would likely involve forces far exceeding these Epic-Boss level scouts.
The war was escalating faster than he had anticipated, and his protective network would need imdiate expansion to address threats operating on this scale of coordination and intelligence.
Below them, the demon ranks descended into chaotic infighting as Bloom’s influence spread, but Arthur knew this was rely treating symptoms rather than addressing the underlying strategic crisis that threatened humanity’s survival.
Arthur pressed for deeper intelligence about the enemy’s organisational structure and capabilities.
"Is there anything known about the world they co from, their leaders, their hierarchy?" Arthur asked with urgency.
Arthur was almost certain that the demons had gathered intel by now about Earth. But the humans? They had no intel about the demons or their world.
Bloom’s ntal probing delved deeper into the captured consciousness of the demons below, searching for any intelligence that could inform Arthur’s understanding of what humanity was truly facing.
Bloom shook his head with obvious disappointnt as he processed the limited information available in the lesser demons’ minds.
"Master, these creatures possess very little knowledge about their origins or command structure," Bloom reported with frustrated finality. "The lesser demons appear to have lived in what resembled massive farms—thousands of them packed together like livestock in cramped, disgusting conditions."
The plant entity’s ntal voice carried disgust at the treatnt he had witnessed through the controlled demons’ mories.
"Their leaders remain completely unknown to them, and they have no full understanding of ranking beyond recognising that they occupy the lowest possible tier," Bloom continued, recounting the intelligence he had gathered.
