What Ethan took out from his inventory was a brown toy teddy bear.

Now Ethan was very close to the terrifying three-faced monster and could clearly see that the face on the monster's right chest was Jake — the very sa face from the data file he had found earlier!

If this monster died along with [Daydrear] and the Coffin Guild leader, he wouldn't have a chance to kill this powerful creature, and naturally, the [Ten-Thousandfold Intelligence Reward] wouldn't co into play.

Even killing an ordinary [Frost Tumor Beast] could drop a purple-quality Intel reward. Let alone this powerful monster right in front of him. If he successfully killed it, it might even drop an orange-quality Intel reward.

A blue-quality Intel reward was worth 100,000; a purple-quality Intel reward at least several hundred thousand; and the value of an orange-quality Intel reward was beyond imagination!

Ethan absolutely wouldn't miss such an opportunity, nor would he let the Coffin Guild players kill this monster.

His reaction was swift. After pulling out the brown teddy bear, he shook it a few tis in front of the monster.

Instantly, the face on the monster's right chest showed a painful expression, and even the blue aura gathering around the monster started to beco unstable.

The face of Jake slowly opened its mouth and stared fixedly at the brown toy bear in Ethan's hand. A single tear silently rolled from the corner of the eye as it instinctively called out:

"Luna, my daughter."

[Overlord] stood right in front of the monster. Though he didn't know what was happening, this was definitely a positive turn for him. As long as he killed this terrifying monster, he would receive a handso reward.

In this early stage of the ga where most players only had white-quality weapons and gear, the best weapons among experts were usually only green-quality.

Even the Coffin Guild leader himself only had a blue-quality weapon.

This boss was so powerful that it would at least drop blue-quality weapons or items!

Two blue-quality weapons would be enough to outclass the top players of other guilds, allowing Coffin Guild to develop rapidly and gain more resources.

[Overlord]'s mind was filled with thoughts of soon killing the boss and acquiring powerful weapons and items. He didn't notice the figure that had appeared behind him.

Just a second before [Overlord]'s weapon touched the boss, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his abdon. Looking down, he saw a pale blue long blade piercing straight through his stomach.

Bright red, warm blood slowly dripped from the blade's tip, splashing onto the ground.

[Overlord] turned around in disbelief. Many possibilities flashed through his mind—was it a high-level player from another guild sneaking in? Or had [Daydrear] betrayed them?

But when he turned around, he saw a very unfamiliar face.

"Pffft!" The long blade was pulled out, and the blood gushed out even faster.

[Overlord] unwillingly clutched the wound in his abdon and struggled to speak, "Who... who exactly are you?"

Ethan didn't answer. He wasn't going to waste ti. After drawing [Frostblade], he forcefully swung the long blade again, aiming for the monster's head.

[Frostblade] radiated a biting cold. The monster instinctively tried to attack, but its speed had slowed considerably.

When the monster's arm was raised halfway in the air, Ethan's blade had already severed its head.

However, the monster was not completely dead yet. The faces on its left and right chest still stared fixedly at him.

At this mont, Ethan should have followed up with another strike, but instead, he quickly turned and launched an attack on the stunned [Daydrear].

Under normal circumstances, [Daydrear] was a level 10 player, with stats far superior to Ethan's. But he had just fought the monster and was severely injured. Plus, he was shocked by Ethan's sudden appearance and hadn't reacted at all.

When Ethan's long blade was about to touch his throat, [Daydrear] finally tried to dodge.

But it was too late. Everything was part of Ethan's plan.

Without surprise, [Frostblade] sliced through [Daydrear]'s throat. Blood sprayed and blossod in the air. Paired with [Daydrear]'s eyes wide open in shock, there was a strange, inexplicable beauty to the scene.

[Daydrear] frantically clutched his throat, trying to slow the blood flow. He opened his mouth to say sothing, but only blood sprayed out.

At this mont, Coffin Guild's leader [Overlord] and the skilled player [Daydrear] were both on the brink of death!

They were just a step away from total death. Even though pain and fear of death consud them, the shock and confusion in their eyes didn't lessen in the slightest.

[Overlord], pierced through the abdon, stared fixedly at Ethan and the boss whose head had just been chopped off by Ethan, struggling to say, "Who exactly are you?"

"Friend, whatever benefits other guilds have offered you, I can double it!"

"We have no grudge or enmity..."

Before he could finish, Ethan made [Frostblade] slash across [Overlord]'s throat and said:

"I said, you'll regret ssing with ."

[Overlord] beca a corpse, eyes wide open, utterly unable to understand why Ethan said that.

Until his death, [Overlord] believed Ethan was a high-level player from another guild and never connected Ethan with the newbie player who had dropped the Intel reward.

Only [Daydrear] knew Ethan was that newbie who had dropped the purple-quality Intel reward. But at this mont, he could no longer speak, only staring at Ethan with disbelief.

Soon, [Daydrear] died completely. On the entire third underground level of Frostspire Tower, only Ethan and the headless—but still not completely dead—monster remained.

There was no denying that this monster's vitality was truly formidable. Without so many Coffin Guild players throwing themselves at it, wearing it down for Ethan, he definitely wouldn't have been able to kill it.

The reason Ethan hadn't finished off the monster imdiately was actually because he didn't want others to notice the high-quality Intel reward that might drop afterward.

Even a purple-quality Intel reward was enough to tempt the Coffin Guild with its 300 players, let alone if an orange-quality Intel reward appeared.

If soone really saw it and spread the news, all the factions in Dawnfall Online would go crazy.

If the orange-quality Intel reward involved orange-quality weapons, items, or other special things, getting those early in the ga would an a rapid power boost, drastically widening the gap between players.

Ethan didn't want to be so conspicuous. His level was too low right now. It was better to stay hidden, develop quietly, and strengthen himself.

Once he confird there was no one else around, Ethan prepared to completely finish off the monster to see what quality Intel reward it would drop.

However, at this mont, the face on the monster's right chest still stared at the brown toy bear, repeatedly murmuring:

"Luna, my daughter, my daughter..."

If soone kinder saw a monster still clinging to human emotions at death, muttering about their daughter, they might feel a bit of pity. But Ethan was different.

He directly picked up [Frostblade] and stabbed twice quickly. Each stab pierced straight through the human face on the monster's chest.

An enemy is an enemy; a monster is a monster. There was no room for rcy. Dropping high-quality Intel rewards, weapons, or items was what mattered most.

Being kind to the enemy was cruelty to himself!

After the monster finally died, a burst of orange light surged from its corpse, flowing directly into Ethan's watch.
