Aiden’s face was dark. He quickly snapped his fingers, and suddenly his index finger burst open, revealing white bones beneath the flesh. A big, fat black worm wrapped around it like a vine.

Then, the two little girls who were behind Johnnie started floating into the air, moving very fast toward Aiden.

It wasn’t just them. From the nearby buildings, screams of pain kept coming. In just a few breaths, more than a hundred kids were floating in the air, controlled by Aiden.

These suddenly appearing children ford a wall between Johnnie, Aiden, and Caron.

The kids were still conscious, shaking and scared, not understanding what was happening.

Aiden laughed proudly and said slowly."Johnnie, do you see? If you move again, these poor kids will die because of you."

Johnnie let out a breath and squeezed the Void Sword tighter in his right hand.

Cowardly Aiden... using kids like this.

He quickly sent a thought to Skye, asking."Are these kids controlled because of that big Bone worm on Aiden’s finger?"

Skye replied."Yes, that must be the mother Bone worm they’ve been raising. Damn it, how many innocent kids have they killed?"

Skye said that the mother Bone worm was very hard to raise. Only after many people were infected with regular Bone worms would there be a small chance of getting a mother Bone worm.

As soon as Aiden gave the order, all the kids here would be killed by the Bone worms inside them.

Johnnie took a deep breath and quickly thought."If I bring these kids into The Map of Heaven and Earth, will that separate the Bone worms in their bodies from the mother Bone worm?"

Skye’s eyes lit up imdiately. He quickly answered."Yes! If you completely close The Map of Heaven and Earth, the Bone worms inside the kids won’t be able to receive any ssages from the mother Bone worm. That will keep the kids safe."

"But we have to act fast. Even the smallest mistake could be a disaster!"

Johnnie would never just stand by and let Aiden and Caron leave. People like them, who had hurt so many innocent children, deserved nothing but a painful death.

At that mont, Aiden spoke again. "Johnnie, I’m warning you one more ti. Besides the Saint, only we can stop the Saint Soul Transference."

"If you keep refusing, you’ll end up with Crysic, both of you becoming puppets controlled by the Saint."

"Think about it. I’m waiting for you to change your mind."

Johnnie sneered and said."Apologize? The one who should be apologizing is you!"

Suddenly, The Map of Heaven and Earth expanded quickly, and all the floating kids were sucked inside in an instant.

Aiden reacted fast. His eyes turned cold, and he tried to control the mother Bone worm on his finger to kill the kids.

But!

Johnnie had Immortal Art: Spatial Compression!

[Spatial Compression: Immortal Art, Special, cannot be upgraded. It uses space power to let you move from one place to another up to ten kiloters away in one step. Each use costs 5% of your soul power. The range depends on how well you control space power.]

He took a step and suddenly appeared right in front of Aiden.

The Void Sword exploded with power, as if it could tear the ground apart.

Rupture the Ground!

In a flash, the sword shot toward Aiden’s arm, fast and unstoppable.

Aiden tried to block, but just as he moved, the grass and trees on the ground started growing wildly.

Immortal Art! The Myriad Phenona.

[The Myriad Phenona (Immortal Art): Level 2; Plants and grass change, trapping enemies like The Myriad Phenona. It deals 15% health damage per second, plus 5% real damage. Healing thods don’t work. Costs 9% soul power per second.]

Aiden, Caron, and Douglas were imdiately affected by the Immortal Art, The Myriad Phenona.

At the sa ti, the rocks and grass around them changed quickly. Swords made of real stone appeared, flying toward them with a loud sound.

Skye took the chance and jumped into the air, lifting his huge axe. He put all his strength into it and brought it down hard on Caron.

"Boom!"

"Crash!"

The ground shook again. The old buildings nearby started to shake violently, as if they were about to fall apart.

Luckily, Johnnie and the others were still a distance away. The buildings shook, but finally stopped moving and returned to normal.

Dust slowly settled, and everything beca quiet again.

Only the fallen arm on the ground made Johnnie frown deeply.

It was Aiden’s arm. He had escaped with Caron and Douglas.

"Too bad, we only got Aiden’s arm. My strength still isn’t enough," Johnnie said, taking a deep breath. His eyes showed disappointnt.

Skye picked up the arm and carefully looked at the mother Bone worm on the finger. Then he said.

"Their strength wasn’t weak to begin with, and they were all trying to run. Getting this result is already surprising. And with this mother Bone worm, we can control the Bone worms inside the kids, and bring them back to normal."

Hearing Skye’s words, Johnnie finally felt a bit relieved. At least there was a way to save the kids.

At that mont, the parents of the children—ordinary people—rushed out and surrounded Johnnie and Skye.

Though they were just normal people, they looked at Skye and Johnnie with so fear in their eyes. But because of their kids, they stood up and didn’t back down.

Johnnie gave a quick explanation, but the parents didn’t believe him at all.

To be honest, the crisis Earth was facing, along with all the Domains and Star Raiders, wasn’t sothing ordinary people could even imagine.

At that mont, a dozen military trucks roared up.

Dylan, in his uniform, was the first to jump out. He quickly walked toward Johnnie.

"It’s the military! The military is here!"

"Thank goodness, our kids will be fine!"

Dylan pushed through the crowd and reached Johnnie’s side. He gave him a salute.

Then he turned to the parents nearby and said a few simple words.

The parents, who had been tense and scared, suddenly beca quiet.

Dylan imdiately took Johnnie and Skye into the military group.

"Why did you co?" Johnnie asked. He knew that when sothing like this happened in the real world, the old leader and Dylan would find out.

But he hadn’t expected Dylan to get there so fast.

Johnnie thought about the kids still suffering from the Bone worms, and the bones inside The Map of Heaven and Earth. He needed to find out—had Dylan known all along what Aiden and Caron were doing?

That was very important.

Dylan didn’t hesitate. "There’s a spy in the Doe Family’s prodigies. The leader was worried about a fight between you and Aiden, so he sent to help."

Help?

Johnnie looked away from Dylan and toward the soldiers around them. He checked them carefully and noticed that their strength wasn’t very high—only around stage 7 or 8. But there was sothing strange hidden inside them.

Dylan noticed Johnnie’s gaze. "The military has its own secret ways. We only use them when it’s really necessary. Johnnie, what exactly happened just now?"

Johnnie thought for a mont. He figured that Dylan and the old leader probably didn’t know what Aiden and Caron were up to. Even he had only found out by chance when he noticed sothing strange in the Demonic Creatures’ realm.

If it wasn’t for Skye, who had lived for a very long ti, Johnnie wouldn’t have known anything about the Bone worm rituals.

He quickly explained what had happened. Dylan, who was usually calm, suddenly showed anger on his face, sothing he couldn’t control.

Anyone would have a hard ti staying calm when faced with such a situation.

After all, for a civilization, children are the hope for the future.

Dylan took a deep breath and said, with his teeth clenched."I’ll report this as quickly as I can. Are the kids still able to get better?"

Johnnie nodded and imdiately let the kids go, then handed them to Skye.

Dylan hadn’t t Skye before, so he looked at him a few tis with curiosity.

Johnnie gave a quick introduction about Skye. Dylan was stunned for a mont, then finally said in disbelief."Skye? That’s the Skye called the War God?"

"No need to be so shocked. You might even see the Aureon Human Emperor one day," Johnnie said calmly.

Dylan’s eyes widened. He stared at Johnnie in disbelief.

Johnnie understood how he felt. For every person from the East, Skye and the Aureon Human Emperor were like legends. Seeing them was like seeing angels for people from the West.

Soon, all the Bone worms inside the kids were driven out by Skye.

Countless black, thread-like Bone worms twisted and moved in his hands, making everyone feel uneasy.

"Monsters! Aiden and Caron were doing this all along, and I didn’t even notice!" Dylan’s eyes showed a hint of guilt.

Johnnie didn’t say much. He just patted Dylan’s shoulder. After all, with Aiden and Caron’s strength as Immortality Cultivators, it was hard for Dylan to find out what they were planning in secret.

Johnnie had so other things to do, and was about to say goodbye, when Dylan suddenly spoke up:

"Johnnie, there’s sothing else. Soone wants us to hand over the Montemar Empire."
