These Demon race creatures were even more pitiful than those Undead monsters, most of them just stage 5 or stage 6 Magic Soldiers.
However, when Johnnie killed Demonic Creatures, even if they were weaker than him, he could still gain improvents.
Killing 100 Magic Soldiers would definitely grant one free attribute point, and killing 10 Demonic Guards would also grant 1 free attribute point...
And so on—there were no requirents regarding their strength.
Johnnie unleashed a massacre, leaving chaos in his wake, the ground littered with spoils of war.
The pressure on the city’s defending soldiers was greatly reduced, and they slaughtered as many Magic Soldiers as possible to level up.
Off in the distance, the players watched this scene in shock.
"Looks like we don’t even need to do anything. Johnnie guru is just too strong."
One person spoke up, a little disappointed.
Most of them had gathered here hoping to resist the Beast Wave and get so rewards.
But after the first two Beast Wave attacks, and now this army of Demonic Creatures, the city hadn’t been threatened at all.
"Should we try killing so Demonic Creatures too?" soone couldn’t help but ask.
Everyone’s eyes lit up—they were tempted, but still a bit hesitant.
"Will Johnnie guru think we’re stealing his kills?"
"I heard there were players before who tried to grab so loot in the chaos, but Johnnie guru wiped them out completely."
"Let’s just wait. There’s probably another Beast Wave coming."
Bzzzz...
Suddenly, a deep buzzing sound echoed out.
"What’s that noise?" soone asked in surprise.
"It sounds like machinery."
"No way. The Universe Continent is primitive—where would machinery co from?"
"Wait, look up at the sky!"
Soone cried out in shock.
In the hazy night, a dark mass lood in the distant sky. They couldn’t make out its shape, but the chanical rumble was unmistakable.
Rumble, rumble...
As the shadow drew closer, the roar of machinery filled the heavens.
"Is that... a flying city?" soone stared at the enormous shadow overhead, blocking out the sky like a massive city soaring above, heading straight for The Chinese City.
"How is that possible?" a warrior wiped his eyes, his face full of shock.
The energy needed to keep such a massive city flying must be insane. How could they possibly pull that off?
The rumbling echoed.
Johnnie also noticed the gigantic city.
"The chanical Race!" he frowned, recognizing the enemy approaching.
Roar!
A majestic dragon’s cry rang through the skies.
The Azure Dragon instantly revealed its true form, its huge body stretching hundreds of ters, rivaling the size of the chanical city and radiating a powerful aura.
Whoosh!
A wild gale howled as the massive dragon tail whipped hard at the rapidly approaching city.
Boom!
A violent explosion rang out, the air itself trembling. The Azure Dragon’s enormous body and the chanical city were both sent flying backward.
So strong!
Johnnie was shocked—the chanical city had actually blocked an attack from a god.
Even though there was still power suppression on the Universe Continent and a god couldn’t unleash their full strength, that strike was still terrifying. No ordinary city should be able to withstand it.
Bzzzzz...
A loud buzzing noise sounded as the gigantic city began to break apart—not destroyed, but transforming into countless chanical Monsters, darkening the sky. There had to be over three hundred thousand of them.
"Kill!" A cold, emotionless chanical voice echoed out. It ca from a colossal humanoid chanical Monster. Its body was like a mountain, like a gigantic cha, and its huge eyes flashed with red light.
Stage 9, a powerhouse!
Johnnie stared at that giant cha. He could feel the powerful aura—it was definitely stage 9. But as for what quality of stage 9 exactly, he couldn’t tell.
Crash!
Countless mbers of the chanical Race moved instantly, charging straight into the army of Demonic Creatures and beginning a brutal slaughter.
Their target wasn’t just the soldiers—they wanted to massacre every living thing here.
Bzzzz bzzzz...
At that mont, another buzzing sound began. Countless tiny red bugs flew out of the chanical Monsters, swarming toward the corpses piled on the ground, devouring them like mad.
Corpse after corpse of Demonic Creatures was reduced to dust in an instant. A gentle breeze blew by, and they vanished completely.
These flying bugs were actually eating the flesh and bones!
Johnnie was stunned as he got a good look at their stats.
[Red-shelled Beetle: Stage 1, the chanical Race’s scavenger. Weak in strength, but can devour and decompose the energy from corpses to nourish both the chanical Race and themselves.]
The Red-shelled Beetles varied in strength, from tiny stage 1 up to stage 5.
Johnnie even saw one as big as a basketball—a stage 7 Red-shelled Beetle. But its stat description said the sa thing: not good at fighting, only able to devour and break down energy from corpses.
Boom!
A fresh round of explosions rang out.
These chanical Monsters fought with bizarre thods and all kinds of weapons—so wielded lightsabers, others energy cannons—charging into the Demonic Creature army and slaughtering them like crazy.
Even the mighty Demon Generals were helpless before them, blasted apart by three stage 7 chanical Monsters working together.
Then, swarms of Red-shelled Beetles descended and devoured the Demon General’s corpse.
"Johnnie, be careful! These guys are weird!" Azure Dragon warned, its massive body roaring as it charged at the giant cha.
Rumble...
Purple lightning danced in the sky, turning into a serpent of electricity that wrapped around the giant cha.
Crackle, crackle...
Sparks flew, but the giant cha was completely unscathed.
"Titan Race!" Azure Dragon was stunned. "Your body was actually forged from the god of the Titan Race!"
The Titan Race is incredibly powerful, with unbelievably tough bodies, and his lightning attack couldn’t hurt it at all.
"Die!" The cold chanical voice rang out, as a massive lightsaber appeared in the giant cha’s hand, slashing down hard.
"Hmph, even if you’re using a god’s body, there’s no way you’ve mastered divine laws!" Azure Dragon scoffed, lunging forward. But the next second, his eyes widened, and his expression changed dramatically.
He could sense a powerful law of strength—the chanical Monster had actually mastered the Titan Race god’s law of power.
The scariest part was that, in its current chanical form, it couldn’t be classified as a god, so the suppression force of the Universe Continent had no effect on it.
Boom!
A thunderous crash sounded, blood splattering as Azure Dragon’s massive body was sent flying backward.
He was actually wounded!
Johnnie grew serious—this giant cha was far more terrifying than it appeared on the surface.
"Azure Dragon, I’ll help you!" Black Tortoise roared, instantly revealing his true form—a giant dragon-turtle—charging straight at the giant cha.
Maiev also acted decisively. Her Dark-Moon longbow trembled, releasing a rain of arrows.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, there was the sound of sothing slicing through the air. Johnnie jumped in surprise—a lightsaber was stabbing toward him at lightning speed.
It was a stage 7 chanical Monster.
"You’re asking for it!" Johnnie snapped, swinging the Void Sword.
Boom!
A deafening bang sounded. He felt a huge force slam into his sword, forcing him to stagger backward.
Even weirder, there was no damage number flashing above the chanical Monster’s head.
What the hell?
Johnnie stared in shock at the chanical Monster, which stood firm and unmoved.
With his current all-around attributes, he was definitely not weaker than a stage 7 powerhouse, plus he had the Cosmic Eclipse Blade’s passive stacks. He should be able to instantly kill a stage 7 monster.
"Johnnie, be careful. These chanical lifeforms aren’t bound by the laws of the Universe Continent." Coco’s voice echoed in his mind.
Johnnie frowned and asked in his heart, "Can I kill it?"
"Yes, its weakness is the energy core, located in either the head or the chest. As long as you destroy the energy core, you can kill it." Coco’s voice sounded again.
Johnnie’s gaze shifted to the chanical Monster’s head and chest.
If it has a weak spot, that ans it can be taken down.
"Rupture the Ground!" he growled, activating his Void Sword technique, swinging the greatsword straight at the chanical Monster’s head.
Clang!
The lightsaber blocked over its head, easily parrying his lethal strike.
Buzz!
But that wasn’t the end.
A buzzing sound rang out, a flash of cold light—eight flying swords shot out at once, stabbing at the chanical Monster’s head and chest.
Bang!
An explosion rang out and the chanical Monster’s head was blown to pieces.
Johnnie was blasted backward by the explosion’s force, and a damage number flashed above his head.
-120,000.
A hundred and twenty thousand damage—way higher than an ordinary stage 7 monster.
[Ding, you have defeated the chanical Race Battle cha. chanical Insight 1]
The prompt ssage appeared, and Johnnie felt puzzled.
chanical Perception—what the heck is that?
He didn’t feel any change in his attributes. It seed like another kind of special hidden stat. Plus, after killing this monster, there was no experience prompt.
But his proficiency in The Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords could still increase.
chanical Battle cha should be the na of this monster. The Red-shelled Beetles are responsible for consuming the corpses, while these Battle cha are in charge of the fighting.
Johnnie didn’t dwell on it any longer and checked the loot dropped by the dead monster.
It was a faintly glowing energy crystal.
[chanical Energy Core: Special item. The chanical Race or anyone with chanical talent can absorb and refine it.]
"chanical talent?" Johnnie frowned. He didn’t have chanical talent, so he couldn’t use it, and he didn’t know what it was for.
Maybe chanical Perception has sothing to do with chanical talent?
Johnnie put it away casually and kept killing chanical Monsters, stacking up chanical Perception Attribute to test out his theory.
Boom, boom...
Loud explosions rang out all around. The chanical Race monsters were tearing into the army of players, going on a wild slaughter.
Every one of these monsters had a chanical body and insane defense. Even the weakest were stage 7—players didn’t stand a chance.
And you could only kill them by attacking their weak spots.
Johnnie imdiately ssaged Dylan privately: "Dylan, the chanical Monsters’ weakness is their head or their heart. Destroy the energy core and you can kill them."
"Got it." Dylan replied quickly and started commanding the army, changing tactics to target the chanical Monsters’ heads or hearts.
Bang, bang...
Occasionally explosions echoed across the battlefield. When the soldiers found the chanical Monsters’ weak points and tead up, they could just barely take one down.
But the deadly blast when these things died was also causing heavy casualties among the soldiers.
And with the sheer number of chanical Monsters, these losses were nothing—it couldn’t slow them down at all.
Countless chanical Monsters surged toward the city walls.
Buzz!
A loud chanical hum sounded as the Four Holy Guardians Array kicked into full power.
