"Quickly finish the battle, clear the battlefield, and reorganize the defense line." Dylan imdiately ordered. But in his heart, he didn’t let up for a second.
According to what Johnnie had said, building a city would trigger 3 to 5 waves of Beast Waves, and at least two more were still coming. And they would only get stronger.
He wasn’t sure if the army could hold them.
"Roar!"
The last Demonized Treant was killed. A prompt ssage appeared. The first wave of the Beast Wave attack was over.
[First wave of the Beast Wave attack has ended. The second wave of the Beast Wave will arrive in five minutes.]
Dylan let out a sigh of relief. He looked at the battlefield covered in monster corpses and ordered the soldiers to imdiately clear the area and rebuild the defense line for the second wave of the Beast Wave attack.
Boom... boom...
From the northern side of the city, in the direction of the Dark Forest, the sound of explosions kept coming. The Beast Wave attack hadn’t stopped. More and more monsters were still coming in.
Thankfully, these monsters weren’t too strong. They were just stage 4 Green Demons.
Johnnie’s Great Transformation Sword Technique had its damage and attack speed stacking. It had already increased by more than thirty tis. Killing these stage 4 monsters was a breeze, with no pressure at all.
[Ding, Killing 10,000 lives, Seven Sword has been upgraded to Stage 2, attribute increase.]
[Seven Sword: Artifact, currently at Stage 2 (already bonded); can grow; current attributes: Physical damage 70, Strength 35, Agility 35, Attack Speed 5%, Critical Hit 5%, Life Steal 5%, Flying Sword speed 1, Penetration 1.]
[Seven Kill: Artifact effect, the Great Sword can turn into seven small flying swords.]
[Growth thod: Killing. Killing 100,000 lives will upgrade to Stage 3.]
The prompt ssage flickered. Seven Sword had already killed 10,000 lives and successfully upgraded to Stage 2. Its attributes were further enhanced again.
And the flying speed and penetration of the flying swords each increased by 1 point.
This was a huge improvent for Johnnie.
"Upgrading to Stage 3 requires killing 100,000 lives. This Beast Wave attack should be able to push it up one more stage." he looked at the improved attributes of Seven Sword, noting that Life Steal had stacked up, reaching 25%, and Physical Critical Strike had reached 20%.
His survival ability and damage output had both been greatly enhanced. Killing these Stage 4 monsters was no problem at all.
The Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords was activated. Seven small flying swords moved nimbly through the monster army, slaying monsters in the distance.
anwhile, the nearby monsters were cut down by Void Sword, continuing to increase the passive effect of Great Transformation Sword Technique.
[Kill a Stage 4, Level 3 Green Demon, gain 3 experience points.]
...
The prompt ssage flickered again. Johnnie’s experience was slowly increasing.
He had now reached Stage 4, Level 1. The required experience for the next level had reached an astonishing 100,000 points.
If he didn’t kill monsters that were higher than his level, his experience gain would be too slow.
[Ding, Kill 1,000 Stage 4, Wood Attribute Green Demons, The Mage of the Five Elents Advancent Quest completed 20%.]
At that mont, another prompt ssage appeared.
Johnnie finally rembered his The Mage of the Five Elents Advancent Quest.
He wondered if this Beast Wave attack would bring out a tal Attribute Monster.
Roar... roar...
The growls kept coming. From the direction of the Dark Forest, more and more monsters were pouring in. Stronger ones, like Forest Witches, appeared—Stage 4, Water and Wind Attribute Monsters, wielding dual swords, roaring as they charged in.
Johnnie showed no fear. He controlled Seven Sword with The Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords, slashing wildly, while Void Sword moved with great force, using Great Transformation Sword Technique to rcilessly slaughter monsters.
All around, the ground was covered with monster corpses and a variety of weapons and equipnt as loot.
Roar... roar...
From the distant mountains, the roar of monsters echoed again.
The second wave of the Beast Wave attack had begun.
It was a powerful group of Stage 2, Level 7 Werewolf Berserkers, archers, and Stage 2, Level 9 Minotaur Mages.
All of them were elite Half-Orc warriors.
The soldiers on the Second Front were mostly at Stage 2 in power. Facing the elite Half-Orc army, they felt so pressure.
"Fire support from the ranged classes, knights, get to the front! Priests, heal the wounded! Don’t let any monsters cross the first line of defense!" Dylan coldly ordered, watching the battlefield closely.
From the direction of the surrounding mountains, the sound of battle cries kept coming. The monster army kept pouring in, dark and endless.
They were all elite Half-Orc warriors at the late Stage 2, far exceeding the level of most of the soldiers.
Boom... boom...
The sound of explosions kept coming. The Minotaur Mages used magic, bombarding the soldiers with powerful attacks, causing heavy casualties.
Even with the priests healing, the knights and warriors couldn’t withstand the endless magical attacks.
"Fall back to the second line of defense. This is only the second wave of the Beast Wave. We can’t afford too many casualties." Liam said, his face serious.
"Yes." Dylan imdiately ordered, commanding the soldiers to retreat in an orderly fashion to the second line of defense.
The army had set up a total of five defense lines, and the city wall was the sixth line of defense.
"Fire suppression from the ranged classes, the first line soldiers, fall back to the second line, hold the line at all costs!" Dylan ordered.
The number of soldiers killed kept increasing, but the formation never lost any order. The retreat was orderly, and the Half-Orc elites never broke through the defense line.
The east wall was defended by Solaris City soldiers and mbers of the Yett Family. Although there were only a few thousand of them, they were all elite warriors, easily holding back the Half-Orc elites.
Especially the mbers of the Yett Family — they had all changed their class to Sword Immortal, wielding legendary quality long swords and mastering the Unparalleled Blade Waltz. They showed no fear in the face of the Half-Orc elites.
"Those people seem like players. How are they so powerful?"
Players watching from a distance noticed the battle on the east wall and were stunned.
"Sword Immortal! Sa class as Johnnie Guru."
"Is this Sword Immortal not a unique Hidden Class?"
"We don’t know if we can change to Sword Immortal and get a legendary weapon as well."
One person spoke, and the other players around him all looked with admiration.
Among the crowd, a cloaked man was silently watching.
He was the head of the Doe Family, Dorian.
"Martial arts disciples, mbers of the Yett Family!" he coldly said, imdiately recognizing that those people were all martial arts disciples.
"Damn it, how did Johnnie get such a miracle?"He had already learned that the Universe Continent had a complete cultivation sect inheritance, but he had never found it yet.
Clearly, Johnnie’s Sword Immortal class was a complete Sword Immortal tradition.
Dorian had done a detailed investigation. Johnnie was not a martial arts disciple. He couldn’t understand how a normal person could gain the recognition of a Sword Immortal class inheritance.
"Uncle, are we going to act?" A young man by his side asked quietly.
The young man was looking at the Yett Family mbers with a strong sense of hatred in his eyes.
He was Ryan’s son, Darius.
He had learned that his father had been killed by Johnnie and the Yett Family mbers.
They had co here to cause trouble. They absolutely couldn’t let Johnnie succeed in building the city.
"Not yet. Wait for the arrival of the Apocalypse Group. Also, the mbers of the Doe Family must not act. You’ve already arrived on the Universe Continent, and without the protection of the ga rules, death is real. Do you understand?"Dorian warned them seriously.
"Yes." Darius replied, but his heart was full of resentnt. He wanted nothing more than to rush out and kill his enemy himself.
Dorian knew exactly what was going on in Darius’s mind, but now was not the ti to clash directly with Johnnie and the Yett Family.
He had already contacted Macbeth and the lords of surrounding cities. Once the Beast Wave attack ended, the real battle would begin.
He would not let Johnnie build the first city. And he didn’t believe that these current players could hold off the Beast Wave attack.
Roar... roar...
The Half-Orcs kept roaring. The soldiers were suffering heavy losses.
But they still held the second line of defense.
[Third wave of the Beast Wave attack has begun.]
Suddenly, a prompt ssage appeared.
The forest was still spewing out endless waves of Half-Orc elites. The second wave of the Beast Wave hadn’t even ended, and the third wave had already arrived!
Huff...
The wind howled, and the roars echoed in the air.
A large number of flying monsters appeared in the sky — they were Stage 3 Griffins.
The forest trembled, and countless Dragon monsters and Dark Giant Bears erged, all of them Stage 3 monsters.
The Griffins flew directly over the army, heading straight for the city wall.
"Shit!" Dylan’s face turned slightly pale. He had seen the terrifying power of these Griffins before. The soldiers couldn’t stop them, and they were flying monsters — they could directly threaten the city.
If the city’s altar was destroyed, then building the city would be a complete failure.
"Ranged classes, go to the wall! Do everything you can to stop the Griffins!" he ordered imdiately.
The ranged classes among the soldiers rushed to the city wall. Archers and mages fired arrows and spells, attacking the Griffins that flew overhead.
"Roar... roar..."
The Griffins roared loudly, showing no fear. Their wings flapped, and fire rained down, instantly turning the city wall into a sea of flas.
Screams filled the air, and many soldiers died.
The soldiers could not stop these Griffins. In an instant, thousands of them were killed.
The Griffins paid no attention to the soldiers on the wall. They flew over the wall and headed straight for the city’s altar.
If the altar was destroyed, the defense against the Beast Wave would be considered a failure.
"Quick, fall back to defend the city altar!" Dylan, seeing this, frowned and imdiately ordered the soldiers to return and defend the altar.
"It’s too late!" Liam frowned, they had made a mistake. There was no defense around the city altar.
Even if there were soldiers guarding it, they couldn’t stop Stage 3 Griffins.
Woo...
Suddenly, The Intent of the Sword humd. A number of flashes of cold light shot toward the Griffins.
A figure appeared on the northern wall.
It was Johnnie!
He had learned of the arrival of the Griffins and imdiately left the dark forest passage, coming to the wall to block them.
Plop...
Blood sprayed in the air as flying swords flew through the sky. One by one, the Griffins were easily killed, and their huge bodies fell into the city, kicking up a cloud of dust.
"Dylan, the Griffins are mine. You deal with the Dragon monsters!" Johnnie called out, standing on the wall, killing the attacking Griffins in a furious frenzy with his flying swords.
"Got it!" Dylan saw this and felt reassured. With Johnnie here, these Griffins were no threat.
He imdiately organized the soldiers to retreat to the third line of defense, and also sent five thousand ranged class soldiers to help the city guards on the eastern wall, to hold back the Beast Wave.
Roar... roar...
Monster roars echoed constantly. The soldiers suffered heavy losses. The third line of defense was lost several tis, but in the end, it was recaptured.
