"Do you really think you can defeat so easily?!"

Marcel's voice was hoarse, and his tone harsh as he scanned over Crimson King and Luca.

"You are so naïve! The power I displayed earlier was only a tiny fraction of my true strength! Now, let show you the true power of the Dragon King's mightiest offspring, the Black Dragon Marcel!"

As his words echoed, Marcel's form beca ethereal once again.

Countless shadows descended from the sky.

All of these shadows gathered around Marcel, who quickly began to expand in his dragon-man form, eventually transforming into a giant, monstrous figure.

The monstrous form was that of a dragon, but it was covered with various limbs that continuously moved, creating a disturbing and terrifying sight.

Luca hesitated not for a mont.

With the [Dragon-Slayer Greatsword] in hand, he charged directly at the monstrous form of Marcel.

As he charged, he invoked the power of darkness, forcibly pulling the surrounding shadows toward himself.

From the perspective of others, Luca seed to disappear into the shadows first, and then, in the form of those very shadows, rushed quickly towards Marcel.

Crimson King followed close behind.

The red light enveloping his body gathered together, and soon, both his body and the light transford into a flowing stream of blood that spread through the air.

This blood condensed into a sharp blade that flew toward Marcel's monstrous form.

Andrea and Lucas, standing nearby, could only watch.

Their strength was far too weak to participate in such a high-level battle.

Marcel swung his claws, ford from various twisted limbs, towards the oncoming shadow.

The mont his claws made contact with the shadow, the [Dragon-Slayer Greatsword] broke through the darkness and severed a large number of the twisted limbs.

Luca swiftly erged from the shadows.

While using the faint yellow glow of the [Dusk Seal] to slow Marcel's movents, he quickly swung the [Dragon-Slayer Greatsword] once more.

His actions clearly paid off.

The agility of Marcel's claws, now missing a significant number of twisted limbs, was greatly reduced.

This was due to the fact that after the twisted limbs were severed, Marcel's power significantly decreased. Additionally, the [Dragon-Slayer Greatsword] had a special effect against the dragon race, which contributed to the diminished strength.

Despite the pain, Marcel gritted his teeth and focused on continuing the battle against the troubleso enemy, Luca. However, after suffering the previous heavy blow, it had beco extrely difficult for Marcel to even fight Luca alone. To make matters worse, Crimson King was also simultaneously attacking him.

Crimson King's attacks were also yielding good results.

Marcel's massive and twisted wings were completely torn apart by the scarlet light.

He was forced to retract his wings temporarily and use the power of darkness to heal his wounds rapidly.

However, this ant that he could no longer keep Luca and Crimson King separated.

Now, with Luca and Crimson King working together, they could launch simultaneous attacks from a single direction.

As the two prepared for their next round of attacks, Marcel sensed an overwhelming sense of danger. This sensation seed to emanate from the depths of his soul.

This realization made Marcel aware that he could no longer continue fighting.

He made the decision to escape imdiately.

With that resolve, Marcel flapped his two broken, twisted wings and flew high into the air.

"Enough! You two re mortals dare to offend , the offspring of the Dragon King! I will make you suffer eternal pain!" he roared, attempting to intimidate them.

Then, with incredible speed, he dived down from the sky.

His attack had a powerful montum, and Luca and Crimson King instinctively chose to defend themselves.

Both of them raised their weapons in front of them, preparing to block Marcel's strike and counterattack once it passed.

But what happened next was beyond everyone's expectations.

As the two readied themselves, Marcel, who had been diving at high speed, suddenly reverted from his monstrous form to his dragon-man form in mid-air.

Then, a black portal appeared out of thin air.

Without hesitation, Marcel stepped into the portal.

The mont his left foot touched the portal, a sharp sword energy shot up from below.

This sword energy was, of course, the strike of Luca using the [Dragon-Slayer Greatsword].

Luca had reacted instantly the mont the black portal appeared.

Because the black portal utilized dark powers, and at this mont, Luca possessed a portion of the authority over darkness, it ant that when dark power was being used, Luca could respond swiftly.

Marcel, with disbelief, turned his gaze toward Luca.

Although he knew that Luca wielded part of the dark powers, he never expected Luca to react so quickly.

At that mont, Marcel fully recognized Luca as his greatest enemy.

He believed that the threat posed by Crimson King was far less significant compared to the threat Luca presented to him.

As Marcel evaded Luca's attack and tried to force his way through the portal, two red beams of light descended from above Marcel's head.

Crimson King had also reacted.

Although his response wasn't as quick as Luca's, Luca's actions had bought him so ti.

Faced with the combined interference of Luca and Crimson King, the black portal Marcel summoned began to destabilize.

He also realized that his chance of escaping successfully was rapidly diminishing.

So, in desperation, he ripped off both of his wings.

After the two twisted wings were torn off, they transford into nurous black monsters that charged quickly toward Luca and Crimson King.

Both Luca and Crimson King knew that these monsters were rely distractions created by Marcel.

Thus, they did not focus their main efforts on dealing with the creatures.

Luca wasted no ti using the [Dusk Seal] to slow down the monsters flying toward him.

Then, with the [Dragon-Slayer Greatsword] in hand, he leaped high into the air, aiming to strike Marcel, who was in the sky.

Crimson King, in a flash of red light, passed through the monsters and reached Marcel directly.

"You two are truly troubleso opponents!"

Marcel hastily tried to stop Luca and Crimson King while desperately trying to maintain the portal.

Though he was using all of his strength, the situation continued to worsen for him.

With the portal on the verge of collapse, Marcel finally gritted his teeth and snapped his left hand.

He then hurled his left hand toward Luca.

The Black Dragon's left hand contained imnse power.

The mont it was snapped, an overwhelming surge of dark power and primal energy erupted from the severed wrist, nearly flooding the entire space.

Although Luca could block the dark power's attack using his dominion over darkness, primal power belonged to the Ancient Gods. This particular force was sothing Luca had no choice but to endure head-on.

Under the onslaught of primal power, Luca could only montarily halt his offensive.

Without Luca's assistance, Crimson King could not stop Marcel on his own.

Marcel used a black curtain of shadows to block Crimson King, and then stepped into the portal.

As Black Dragon Marcel passed through the portal, his severed hand quickly dissipated.

Inside Dragon Bone City, all the dragon soldiers brought by Marcel were gripped by intense fear. At the sa ti, Crimson King's soldiers were filled with excitent.

Everyone had witnessed this fierce battle. Marcel's hasty retreat made it clear to all that Crimson King had erged victorious.

With the rapid dissipation of the dark power, Crimson King was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief.

He first glanced at Luca, but chose not to speak to him. After confirming Luca was fine, he turned his attention to Andrea.

"Black Dragon Marcel has been repelled, but the dragon soldiers he left behind in the city have not been completely eliminated. Go help the others finish off the remaining dragon soldiers in the city," Crimson King ordered.

Andrea bowed to Crimson King, then quickly turned and left.

Lucas, who had been standing next to Andrea, remained rooted in place. Andrea grabbed him and pulled him along as they departed.

Once they were gone, only Crimson King and Luca remained in the square before the palace.

Finally, they could discuss so important matters.

"I truly appreciate your help," Crimson King began, walking up to Luca. "Without you, Black Dragon Marcel's plan would have succeeded, and I would have been in an irreparable situation."

Crimson King reached out his hand to Luca in gratitude.

Luca took his hand and stood up.

"Marcel was rely repelled, and he's just one of Dragon King's offspring. The attack on Dragon Bone City wasn't even initiated by Dragon King himself. We can't afford to let our guard down just yet," Luca responded.

Luca's words were, of course, quite sensible.

Crimson King nodded solemnly.

"Of course, we can't relax our vigilance. But now is not the ti to discuss our next steps."

At this point, Crimson King paused.

He fixed his gaze firmly on Luca, his tone serious as he asked,

"Who exactly are you? Your strength far exceeds that of a talented, ordinary warrior. What is your true purpose? Although you have helped and, so far, shown no hostility, if you cannot clearly explain your intentions to , I cannot fully trust you."

Crimson King had co to the realization that Luca was no ordinary person.

He was certain that Luca had been using a false identity all along.
