Everyone in Refuge 102’s combat unit felt the intense surge of chaotic energy.

The relief they had been feeling monts ago instantly turned into renewed tension.

Although Drumph was just as on edge, he deliberately kept his tone casual, telling everyone not to worry.

"I don’t think that wave of chaotic energy necessarily ans we’re about to face an attack from so powerful monster.

The main force of the monster horde was already wiped out in the Imperial Capital! Even if a few survived, they wouldn’t pose much of a threat to us.

I’ve already transferred so reinforcents from the Imperial Capital—they’ll be arriving any mont now. Once they get here, our defenses will be even stronger.

All you need to do is focus on your own duties. The situation isn’t nearly as bad as you think!"

His words successfully eased the nerves of those around him.

Once most of the people had cald down, he went straight to find Donlow and Fuzzsir.

"Sothing’s not right. I have to return to the Imperial Capital imdiately,"

Drumph said in a low voice, keeping to a secluded spot.

The expressions on Donlow’s and Fuzzsir’s faces changed instantly.

"Didn’t you just say there was nothing to worry about?" Fuzzsir asked, a hint of anxiety in his voice.

"I only said that to keep everyone from panicking! As for what’s really going on—I’m not sure yet. I need to get back to the Imperial Capital as quickly as possible and discuss it with Luca," Drumph replied briskly.

Donlow and Fuzzsir both nodded.

They agreed with Drumph’s approach and knew exactly why he had called them aside.

"Go without worrying. Fuzzsir and I can keep things stable here," Donlow said firmly.

Drumph gave a nod, then quickly departed.

Donlow and Fuzzsir watched him go.

After a mont, Donlow spoke. "We absolutely cannot let anyone know Drumph has returned to the Imperial Capital."

Fuzzsir nodded in agreent. "You’re right—we have to keep this secret. Also, I think we need to reinforce the refuge’s defenses imdiately."

Donlow agreed with Fuzzsir’s suggestion, and the two of them set to work making preparations.

Drumph, on his end, boarded a plane and flew back to the Imperial Capital at the fastest possible speed.

By the ti he returned to the Morning Star headquarters in the Imperial Capital, everyone there had already sensed the surge of imnse chaotic energy.

They had also confird that the origin of the fluctuation was in the Daskhollow Gorge.

So the mont Drumph stepped through the doors of Morning Star headquarters, people crowded around him.

Everyone wanted to know exactly what had happened.

Drumph could only respond with a helpless look—because the truth was, he didn’t know either. He hadn’t had the courage to go directly to Daskhollow Gorge to investigate.

"I know you’re all anxious," he said. "But I hope you can hold back for now. The situation in Daskhollow Gorge is extrely complicated, and I didn’t go there directly.

The reason I ca back is to discuss with Luca what course of action we should take next."

His words managed to calm the Morning Star mbers.

They all agreed that only Luca had the ability to deal with such a critical situation.

Even Zovland, who had always been openly hostile toward Luca, said nothing this ti. He simply stood off to the side, his face dark, watching in silence.

"Alright, everyone, get back to your own work. Once Luca and I have co to a decision, I’ll let you know imdiately," Drumph said, dismissing the group.

Then he headed straight into the deeper part of Morning Star headquarters, to the lounge where Luca was resting.

Without knocking, Drumph pushed the door open and rushed inside.

Luca was lying quietly on the bed with his eyes closed, seemingly asleep.

Drumph hesitated, unsure whether he should wake him.

Before he could decide, Luca spoke up.

"You ca rushing back in such a hurry—you must have sothing very important to tell ."

"Yes! You must have felt the surge of chaotic energy here in the Imperial Capital too, right? What exactly is going on? Does it an we’re about to face an even bigger crisis?"

Drumph fired off his questions all at once.

Luca slowly opened his eyes, a faint smile on his face.

"I did feel the surge of chaotic energy—and yes, it certainly ans we’re about to face an even greater crisis.

But I don’t think we need to be in such a rush... because there’s soone who’s in even more of a hurry than we are."

Luca’s words left Drumph deeply puzzled.

Frowning, Drumph asked,

"What exactly is going on? Don’t play riddles with ! Can’t you just say it clearly?"

Drumph’s tone was sharp with urgency.

He felt that Luca’s attitude was far too relaxed for the situation.

Luca replied with an air of nonchalance.

"Don’t get upset. I’m not speaking in riddles—everything I’ve said is what I can confirm."

He paused for a mont, as if choosing his words carefully, then continued.

"The powerful chaotic energy fluctuation we sensed earlier was caused by a monster ascending to godhood.

A truly evil chaos deity has been born into the real world—and naturally, that poses an enormous threat to us."

Luca’s words left Drumph utterly stunned.

He had never imagined that a chaos deity could erge in the real world.

In his shock, he cut Luca off mid-thought.

"Then what should we do? Shouldn’t we strike as quickly as possible and destroy this chaos deity? It’s only just been born—it should be easier to kill right now, right?"

Drumph’s reaction was exactly what Luca had expected, so he wasn’t irritated by the interruption.

Instead, he kept the faint smile on his face and spoke in a light, almost casual tone.

"You’re still being too hasty. Don’t you want to know why I said the ones in the biggest hurry aren’t us?"

By now, Drumph had regained a bit of composure. He gave a small nod.

"This newly born chaos deity is a god of the evil domain. That ans it’s eligible to inherit the Sinful Divine Rank—

and that Sinful Divine Rank used to belong to Zenobia. So Zenobia has far more reason to panic than we do.

We don’t need to take any action at all. We can simply watch from the sidelines. Zenobia and the newly born chaos deity are certain to clash fiercely in the near future.

All we have to do is wait until both sides are badly wounded—then make our move."

When he finished, Luca’s gaze remained fixed on Drumph, a faint smile still playing at his lips.

Drumph stood there, his expression dark, mulling it over.

If things truly were as Luca said, then there was no need for him to be in such a hurry.

Zenobia would strike imdiately—there was no doubt about it.

And when Zenobia clashed with this newly born chaos deity, the battle would be anything but quiet.

He could bide his ti and wait for the most advantageous mont to act.

Until then, all he had to do was pretend he knew nothing.

"I know what I need to do next."

After frowning in thought for a mont, Drumph’s expression finally eased. He looked at Luca with a smile.

"That’s good. I still need several more days to recuperate. I hope the infighting between chaos deities doesn’t end too quickly,"

Luca replied with an easy smile.

Drumph nodded without another word and turned to leave.

"When do you think Zenobia will make her move?"

Once Drumph had gone, Sophia asked the question directly.

The smile faded from Luca’s face, replaced by a blank, unreadable expression. He shook his head.

"Zenobia has been missing for a long ti now. While I don’t believe she’s been completely destroyed, I have no idea how much strength she still possesses.

If her power has diminished too far, she might not even dare challenge this newly born chaos deity."

In truth, Luca was far less at ease than he had appeared earlier.

After the battle in Lakeside City, Zenobia had vanished without a trace.

While he was certain she hadn’t been eradicated, he had no way of knowing how far her recovery had co.

"I think you’re underestimating her," Sophia said.

"Zenobia must have been gathering trendous power in secret. She’s co back from losing her divine rank and having her soul completely shattered—

I highly doubt that the battle in Lakeside City could have truly broken her. For all we know, Zenobia might already be ready to strike."

"Let’s hope you’re right," Luca said softly.

At that sa mont, in an abandoned town southwest of the Imperial Capital—

Countless monsters had gathered around a single building, their chaotic energy continuously being drained away.

Inside, in her serpentine form, Zenobia had already amassed an imnse reservoir of chaotic power.

Although she had not yet returned to her peak condition, it was clear she already possessed the strength to fight.

Zenobia had also sensed the powerful surge of chaotic energy—and through that surge, she confird that the one who had ascended to godhood was none other than the Silent Dark Shadow.

"So... you planned to steal my divine throne while I was away? You will pay for this! I will never let you succeed!"

She muttered the words through clenched teeth, her voice low and venomous as she continued to draw in chaotic power.

Her fury burned hotter with each passing mont.

It wasn’t only because the Silent Dark Shadow intended to seize her divine rank—

what enraged her even more was the fact that the Silent Dark Shadow was her own creation.

For a creation to attempt to steal its creator’s divine throne—this was sothing Zenobia could never tolerate.

Once she had drained every last shred of chaotic energy from the surrounding monsters, she deed herself ready for battle.

She decided she would head straight for Daskhollow Gorge.

"Let see just how powerful you’ve truly beco after ascending to godhood... and you had better not disappoint !"
