Seizing the opportunity while the Chaos Siege Beast was trapped by the fire wall, Luca gathered all of his strength and charged toward it.

During this process, the Chaos Siege Beast did make so response.

Purple smoke appeared around its massive body, containing a powerful chaotic energy. It effectively created a barrier of chaotic energy.

However, this barrier was actually very fragile.

In the dream world, chaotic energy was restricted.

Any skill that used chaotic power would see a drastic reduction in its effectiveness.

Luca easily passed through the purple smoke and drove Starseeker forcefully into the Chaos Siege Beast.

Infused with imnse power, Starseeker pierced the beast's thick armor.

The Chaos Siege Beast once again let out a painful howl.

At this mont, Luca did not choose to continue his attack; instead, he created distance between himself and the Chaos Siege Beast.

He anticipated that the beast would soon launch a desperate counterattack.

Luca had barely moved a short distance when the Chaos Siege Beast activated its most powerful skill, Devour Ti and Space.

Accompanied by the fluctuations of chaotic power, the stability of the entire dream world drastically decreased.

The space and ti that made up the dream world were devoured by the Chaos Siege Beast, healing the wounds on its body and granting it even more powerful chaotic energy.

Luca was stunned by the Chaos Siege Beast's Devour Ti and Space skill.

While he had predicted that the beast's strongest skill would be able to drastically alter the course of the battle, he had not expected that the Chaos Siege Beast would be able to devour ti and space.

After quickly assessing the effects of the Devour Ti and Space skill, Luca imdiately used his Copy Master profession to duplicate the skill.

He now had the ability to use Devour Ti and Space in the coming battle to potentially end it.

The process of copying a skill took ti.

During the skill duplication, Luca was unable to continue fighting.

The Chaos Siege Beast took advantage of this precious ti to quickly restore itself.

It absorbed all the purple smoke surrounding its body back into itself.

Fueled by an imnse amount of chaotic power, the Chaos Siege Beast decided to fight to the death!

Its enormous form charged toward Luca at a terrifying speed.

At this mont, Luca had not yet finished copying the skill.

"Hurry up and help ! I can't move freely while copying the skill!" he called out, now relying on Sophia for assistance.

Sophia, who had been observing the battlefield, quickly realized that Luca needed her help.

Without hesitation, she sprang into action.

The temperature in the dream world began to plumt, and the speed of the Chaos Siege Beast slowed due to the drop in temperature.

Under normal circumstances, Sophia's frost magic wouldn't have such a significant effect.

However, within the dream world, Luca was able to enhance the power of Sophia's frost magic using his Dreamweaver skill.

Thanks to their cooperation, the Chaos Siege Beast's movent was considerably slowed.

Despite their flawless teamwork, the Chaos Siege Beast continued to rapidly close the distance between itself and Luca.

Both the Chaos Siege Beast and Luca were now using all their strength.

Just before the two were about to collide, the skill duplication was finally completed.

Without hesitation, Luca used the power within the Origin Holy Grail to rapidly create distance between himself and the Chaos Siege Beast.

Once the distance was sufficient, he turned to Sophia and said, "You must be ready for a massive wave of energy fluctuations!"

Sophia, slightly puzzled by his words, nonetheless prepared herself as instructed.

After giving Sophia the warning, Luca imdiately withdrew the Dreamweaving Mist.

As the Dreamweaving Mist quickly dissipated, the space within the dream world beca increasingly unstable.

The entire dream world began to shrink rapidly.

In the blink of an eye, the dream world collapsed into a small space centered around Luca and the Chaos Siege Beast's battlefield.

At that mont, Luca activated the Devour Ti and Space skill he had copied.

As the Devour Ti and Space skill took effect, Luca simultaneously used his Dreamweaver skill to make the entire dream world collapse at an accelerated rate.

The already unstable dream world suddenly began to collapse.

All the space and ti within the dream world were devoured by Luca, transforming into a source of power that he could use.

With the collapse of the dream world, the various forces that had existed within it collided violently.

Primal power and chaotic energy ford a massive energy tsunami.

The energy tsunami directly struck the Chaos Siege Beast, still charging toward Luca, heavily wounding it.

At the sa ti, the space and ti within the dream world completely collapsed, and Luca, with Sophia, quickly escaped before the dream world entirely disintegrated.

The Chaos Siege Beast, however, did not have the sa opportunity.

Having already suffered significant damage, it was caught in the collapse of the dream world, vanishing along with it.

When Luca returned to the real world, he received a notification that the Chaos Siege Beast had been slain, along with a substantial amount of experience points.

"We almost lost!" Sophia's voice, tinged with fear, echoed.

In the final monts of the battle, she had felt the terrifying energy fluctuations and the extre instability of the collapsing dream world.

Though she trusted Luca, the close call still left her shaken.

"We did co very close to losing. Even though I used the dream world to suppress the Chaos Siege Beast's power, the final outco wasn't as effective as I'd hoped," Luca replied, his tone grave. "It seems we shouldn't stay here any longer. One Chaos Siege Beast caused us this much trouble, and there are many more monsters here just as powerful as it."

He made up his mind. "We must abandon this defense line and retreat into the Imperial Capital's city."

After the hard-fought battle, Luca had confird that this line of defense was beyond saving.

"Don't be so lacking in confidence! We've already seen you defeat the mighty Chaos Siege Beast! With your help, we can definitely hold this line!" the deputy captain of the Imperial Capital Guard rejected Luca's suggestion outright.

In his view, Luca had already demonstrated the power necessary to help them secure the defense line.

Furthermore, as Luca had pointed out, even if they did retreat, not all of them could escape the battlefield unscathed.

"I'm not lacking in confidence! I just have a very clear understanding of my own abilities," Luca said coldly.

He had co here rely to test the strength of the monsters within the monster horde's main force.

He wasn't here to defend this line of defense.

So, he had no need to hold the line.

"If you're unwilling to retreat, then you can continue holding this position. But I must warn you, the chaotic power is still increasing."

"This also ans that the pressure on this defense line will continue to rise!" Luca said. "I, for one, can't defend this place. I've said all I needed to, and if you don't believe , that's your choice."

With that, Luca turned and walked away.

While he hoped that humanity could prevail in the war against the monsters, he didn't want to waste any more breath on those who were too stubborn to listen.

Moreover, he had no real cooperation with the Imperial Capital Guard. His only intention was to give them a friendly warning. If they didn't want to heed his advice, so be it.

After Luca left, the mood on the defense line grew heavy.

Most of the soldiers had heard the conversation between Luca and the deputy captain of the Imperial Capital Guard.

If even Luca believed that the defense line couldn't be held, then their confidence was shattered.

"Deputy Captain, I think we should retreat. We've held out long enough. Even if we withdraw, the Federation's high command won't bla us," one of the Imperial Capital Guard mbers suggested quietly.

The deputy captain of the Imperial Capital Guard glanced at the approaching monster horde, lowered his head, and after a mont of contemplation, he slowly nodded.

"We should indeed follow Luca's advice."

His words gave those around him a mont of relief.

"Imdiately begin preparations for the retreat! If we want to withdraw safely from the battlefield, we need a well-thought-out plan. If we retreat hastily, we'll be completely destroyed in the monster's pursuit," the deputy captain said, his mind still clear.

He understood very well that without a solid retreat plan, a withdrawal could easily turn into a rout.

Upon receiving the orders, his subordinates quickly set to work.

The troops on the defense line began making preparations for retreat.

Just then, a massive shadow appeared in the sky.

It was a large group of monsters.

With the arrival of these monsters, the defense line was instantly overwheld by the monster horde.

The deputy captain of the Imperial Capital Guard stared in shock at the scene before him.

The defense line was instantly destroyed, and the warriors on the line were devoured by the massive horde of monsters.

This ti, he didn't stand there in disbelief for long, because within less than a minute, the monster horde had advanced to his feet.

"I should have listened to Luca's advice earlier!"

This was the last thought in the deputy captain of the Imperial Capital Guard's mind.

His actions had been far too slow.

If he had started the retreat when Luca left, there might still have been a chance for a successful withdrawal.

It was his hesitation that had caused the situation to spiral out of control, leaving no opportunity for retreat.

The situation in Imperial Capital was now beyond saving.

At least, there was absolutely no possibility of successful defense in any of the districts outside of the core area.

The situation in Imperial Capital was now a completely irretrievable crisis.

What was even more frightening was that only Luca and Sophia had realized this, while the others remained unaware.
