Online Game: I Started with Max Charisma and Caught the Goddess's Eye Chapter 445: Mirror Deity
Countless reflections in the mirrors all stared at Luca simultaneously.
The eerie scene startled him at first.
But only a mont later, he quickly regained his composure.
"These figures reflected in the mirrors must be a trick by the Mirror Deity," he muttered. "It’s doing this on purpose to scare , to disrupt my judgnt."
Now calm, Luca made his assessnt swiftly.
He had already completed two of the trial tasks. The final trial was to defeat the Mirror Deity.
Though he had never encountered the Mirror Deity before, nor had he received any information about it, the na alone was enough for him to deduce that its powers must be related to mirrors.
Luca took a small step backward.
All the reflections in the mirrors mimicked his movent, stepping back as well.
He drew the Starseeker.
The reflections also drew their own versions of Starseeker.
"I don’t believe you can truly replicate my power through re reflections," Luca said aloud.
As he spoke, he swung the Starseeker down toward the nearest mirror.
The reflection did the sa.
The two weapons clashed at the surface of the glass.
Suddenly, the mirror shattered.
The Luca within the mirror contorted in pain, his face twisted in agony. At the sa ti, gashes opened up on his mirrored body.
And at that very instant, Luca felt it—real pain.
He stared in disbelief at his arm, where a deep wound had suddenly ford.
"Could it be... that when my reflection is injured, I suffer the sa injuries? If the reflection in the mirror is actually the Mirror Deity in disguise, does that an I have no way to truly defeat it?"
Shock flooded Luca’s mind.
He had known that the Mirror Deity might use reflections to perform strange attacks—but he had never imagined that injuries inflicted upon his mirrored self would translate directly to his real body.
"Sothing’s not right! I must be missing so crucial piece of information."
He refused to believe the Mirror Deity possessed such overwhelming power.
It had to be that he had overlooked sothing important.
In this situation, acting recklessly any further would be far too dangerous.
Luca chose to put so distance between himself and the mirrors.
He moved to a spot farther away from the mirrored walls.
However, since everything beyond the sea of mirrors was shrouded in pitch-black darkness, he didn’t dare venture too far.
After witnessing the true nature of the enchanted lack, he had already co to the conclusion that the darkness in this place was essentially a part of that sa entity.
Once he reached what he believed to be a safe distance, Luca began to review everything he had experienced throughout the trial so far—
From the thod of entering the trial, to the completion of the first two trial tasks.
"This entire trial is tied to my own psyche. I’ve already reconciled my negative emotions... So could it be that defeating the Mirror Deity requires a deeper examination of my ntal state?"
After more than ten minutes of focused reflection, Luca ca to a conclusion.
Even if it wasn’t the exact right answer, he felt certain it was the closest he’d gotten to the truth.
"Each mirror reflects my image. But those reflections must each represent a facet of my soul or psyche. If that’s the case, then I just need to find the one reflection that doesn’t belong to at all.
That one... must be the Mirror Deity!"
Having made up his mind, Luca acted without hesitation.
He blinked forward to one of the mirrors, locking eyes with the version of himself inside.
With the generation of Dreamweaving Mist, he successfully linked his consciousness to the consciousness of the reflection within the mirror.
"My guess was right! The reflection in the mirror really is a part of my spirit and soul!
This one is definitely mine—there’s no trace of the Mirror Deity in this mirror."
Excited, Luca activated his fla magic runes.
He etched a small mark into the edge of that mirror.
Though there were an overwhelming number of mirrors in this space, he moved quickly enough that the marking process progressed at an impressive rate.
In less than half an hour, the majority of the mirrors had been tagged.
The Mirror Deity had not hidden in any of those mirrors.
As the number of unmarked mirrors dwindled, Luca’s progress began to slow.
The Dreamweaving Mist he summoned started to falter—it could no longer establish an imdiate link between him and the spirit of his reflection.
At tis, the reflection inside the mirror would even launch ntal attacks against him during the connection.
But Luca paid none of this any mind.
Because the reflections within those mirrors had initiated the attacks themselves, they posed absolutely no real threat to him.
A fragnt of one’s soul and spirit could never hope to overpower the whole.
When only three mirrors remained unmarked, all the previously marked mirrors suddenly shattered at once.
The remaining three mirrors rapidly absorbed the fragnts of the broken ones, growing larger as they did.
In the end, the three colossal mirrors stretched up into the clouds, surrounding Luca at the center.
Within each of the towering mirrors stood a reflection of Luca—each one just as massive, reaching to the sky.
Faced with this sudden turn of events, Luca showed no signs of panic.
In fact, he smiled and spoke calmly,
"So you’re finally scared. As the final boss of this trial, you’ve been holding back this entire ti.
I assud you were so confident in your power that you didn’t care if your traps were seen through.
Looks like I was wrong—
You didn’t strike before because the only way you could defeat was through smoke and mirrors like this!"
As Luca spoke, the Dreamweaving Mist surged forth.
In re seconds, both he and the three towering mirrors were enveloped in dense, swirling fog.
By the ti he finished speaking, the Dreamweaving Mist had thickened so much that it blurred the line between the physical world and the ntal realm.
The three enormous mirrors disappeared completely—
And in their place stood three towering reflections of Luca himself.
"Now I can destroy you the old-fashioned way—with brute force!"
Without hesitation, Luca launched an attack at the massive reflection in front of him.
The three giant figures simultaneously launched attacks of their own at Luca.
The battle that erupted between them was fierce.
Every skill Luca used, the giant reflections could mirror.
It was a clash that couldn’t be easily resolved.
But Luca wasn’t worried about losing in a battle of attrition.
Two of the giant reflections were gradually becoming more and more blurred—
Only one remained perfectly solid.
And it was clear: that one was the true body of the Mirror Deity.
"Your disguise has completely failed!
Stop hiding behind my own abilities—show what you’ve really got!"
Luca channeled all his strength into the Starseeker.
The blade transford into a streak of silver-white light,
Soaring straight toward the one unmuddied figure.
At the mont of impact, a brilliant white explosion burst forth—blinding and absolute.
All of the Dreamweaving Mist was dispelled in that very instant.
The blinding white light rendered Luca montarily blind.
For protection, he imdiately activated his shield magic runes.
As they flared to life, he heard two distinct sounds—the sharp shattering of glass.
Seconds later, the brilliant light faded.
Luca quickly scanned his surroundings.
The Dreamweaving Mist was entirely gone.
He had returned to the sa place as before—
Only now, the once pitch-black ground was blanketed with fragnts of silver-white mirror glass.
In the distance—just barely within his range of vision—
A grotesque creature wrapped entirely in shards of mirror was thrashing wildly.
The mirrors covering its body were breaking apart one after another.
The mont Luca laid eyes on the monster, he instantly realized:
That was the Mirror Deity!
"So I finally get to see your true form. Ti to die!"
Without hesitation, he charged forward.
The Mirror Deity continued to writhe in agony, seemingly unaware of Luca’s approach.
But Luca didn’t let down his guard.
As the distance between them closed to less than a hundred ters,
The Mirror Deity suddenly stopped struggling.
Its body surged outward,
Countless mirror shards assembling into a massive sealing formation.
It was trying to trap Luca.
But when Luca saw this, a confident smile appeared on his face.
"You seriously think a trick like that would work on ?
You couldn’t beat in the ntal realm, and now you expect to defeat in the real world?
You’re dreaming."
As he spoke, Luca unleashed his fla magic runes.
A surge of roaring fire erupted forth,
lting through the mirror shards on contact.
The seal shattered before it was even fully ford.
Bursting through the remnants,
Luca finally caught sight of the Mirror Deity’s form—
Now stripped of its mirrored armor.
It was a mass of absolute darkness, devoid of even the faintest glimr.
From within that darkness surged a potent chaotic energy,
Seething with pure malice that radiated outward.
"It’s ti to end this."
Without the slightest hesitation, Luca activated his holy light magic runes.
Beams of radiant light rained down from above—
And the absolute darkness was pierced, illuminated by blinding divine brilliance.
The Mirror Deity let out a painful, anguished howl—
a scream so sharp and twisted that when it reached Luca’s ears, it sent a violent shock through his mind.
The sound alone caused him imnse pain, his head throbbing with every echo.
But none of that was enough to change the outco.
Gritting his teeth against the pounding in his skull, Luca continued to unleash wave after wave of radiant light.
The final wisp of darkness was driven away,
Erased by the holy brilliance.
[Congratulations! You have completed the trial task! Rewards will be issued upon exiting the trial zone.]
A crisp system notification chid in his ears.
At last, Luca could breathe a sigh of relief.
At that mont, the entire pitch-black realm began to collapse.
The surrounding space started folding in on itself at a rapid pace.
Within seconds, Luca found himself back at the edge of the lake—
The very place where the trial had begun.
"The trial is complete. I have to get out of here—fast.
The longer I stay, the higher the risk that enemies in the Eternal World will detect .
And in my current condition, I’m far too weak to survive another battle.
If I’m found now, there’s a good chance I’ll lose."
After confirming that his body hadn’t suffered any critical damage,
Luca bolted toward the nearest node with all the speed he could muster.
He had to leave the Eternal World—before it was too late.
