In the hilly region outside Lakeside City, Fuzzsir and lania suddenly noticed sothing shocking—the entire core district of Lakeside City had vanished without a trace.

"What the hell is going on?! How can an entire city district just disappear?!"

lania was utterly stunned.

Her injuries hadn't fully healed, so she wasn't able to use her Perception ability to verify whether what she was seeing was so kind of illusion.

Beside her, Fuzzsir wore a grim expression.

He had already used his Perception and confird that the core district of Lakeside City was truly gone.

And it wasn't just the core district—every dormant monster they had previously detected had vanished as well.

The concentration of chaotic energy surrounding Lakeside City had dropped drastically.

"This isn't an illusion! It's not just the city core—those monsters, and even the overwhelming chaotic energy, are gone,"

Fuzzsir said, his tone tense.

"What about Luca and the others? Can you sense their presence at all?"

lania asked, clearly anxious.

Fuzzsir shook his head slowly.

After a brief silence, he looked seriously at lania.

"This situation is already beyond our control. We need to get in touch with headquarters imdiately. Luca and Donlow—they must need our help."

lania didn't respond right away. There was a flicker of hesitation on her face.

Their current mission wasn't just about eliminating enemies along the way.

It was also a crucial opportunity—to prove the strength of Donlow, herself, and Fuzzsir.

If the operation went smoothly, they would gain recognition from Drumph for their capabilities.

Donlow would likely be promoted to a higher tier and assigned to manage a larger region.

She and Fuzzsir could also be entrusted with greater responsibility—possibly even put in charge of an entire sector.

But if this mission ended in failure…

Drumph might deem them unfit for critical roles.

Worse, their reputations within Morning Star could suffer significant damage.

That would give Zovland—who had always looked down on them—the perfect excuse to openly suppress and discredit them.

The hesitation on lania's face already made her thoughts crystal clear.

Fuzzsir let out a deep sigh and spoke slowly.

"I know what you're thinking. Honestly, I also really want this mission to succeed—more than anything. But I still believe safety cos first."

lania nodded reluctantly.

"You're right. Safety is the top priority. Let's get in touch with Silas first—have him co assess whether the situation here has beco critical."

Silas was also a mber of Morning Star's Northern Territory branch.

He possessed an exceptionally powerful danger Perception ability. If the disappearance of Lakeside City's core truly signified that Donlow and Luca were in serious danger, Silas would be able to sense it imdiately.

Most importantly, Silas was their friend—and soone they could trust to keep everything confidential.

Fuzzsir finally agreed to the compromise.

"Silas happens to be stationed not far from here. I'll contact him right away."

He activated his communicator, and just a few seconds later, he connected with Silas.

After briefly describing what they had encountered, Fuzzsir got straight to the point.

"You need to get over here, fast! We need you to assess the threat level!"

Even over the comm line, Silas didn't hide his disapproval.

"Even if I head there right now, it'll take at least thirty minutes to arrive. And if this is as bad as it sounds, losing half an hour could an life or death for Luca and Donlow."

Then he offered an alternative.

"Here's what we'll do. You rember the charm I gave you earlier, right? If you hold that charm in your hand, it'll partially link your consciousness to mine. Through that link, I can indirectly perceive the danger level in your location."

Fuzzsir quickly retrieved the charm from his pack.

"Got it! I'm holding the charm now—go ahead and assess the situation!"

He gripped the charm tightly, focusing all his attention on sensing the energy and atmosphere around him.

Just a few seconds later, Silas's voice ca through the communicator, filled with alarm.

"The danger level in the core district is extrely high! Even Luca is already on the brink of death! We need to contact headquarters imdiately and request reinforcents!"

Silas's words sent shockwaves through both Fuzzsir and lania.

Without hesitation, they sprang into action.

lania hurriedly said to Fuzzsir,

"I can take care of myself! You don't need to worry about —just go and contact headquarters right away!"

Though Fuzzsir was still a little concerned for her, in the end, he agreed with her judgnt.

With the disappearance of the Lakeside City core, along with the monsters and the chaotic energy, lania was unlikely to face any imdiate threat.

"Alright then! Just make sure you stay safe!"

With that, Fuzzsir turned and sped off at full speed toward Silas's location.

At nearly the sa mont, Silas established a connection with Drumph in the Imperial Capital.

"What did you just say? Not only has the mission failed, but they're now on the verge of death?!"

Drumph was utterly shocked as he processed the news.

The only reason he had agreed to let Donlow participate in this operation was because he believed Luca's strength would be enough to guarantee her safety.

But now, learning that even Donlow's life was in jeopardy—there was no way he could remain calm.

"I'm heading to Lakeside City imdiately! Do not take any further action until I get there."

Drumph ended the call and imdiately summoned all of his subordinates.

"There's a critical situation unfolding in Lakeside City. I need to take you all with to provide reinforcents. Put all Imperial Capital assignnts on hold—this place isn't as dangerous anymore."

After a brief explanation, Drumph hastily departed from the Imperial Capital, bringing the main force of the Morning Star – Northern Territory with him.

Of course, Drumph's departure didn't go unnoticed by Zovland. In fact, Drumph hadn't intended to conceal it at all.

Ti was of the essence—every second mattered now, and he couldn't afford to waste even a mont.

News of Drumph leaving the Imperial Capital in such a rush with the core mbers of Northern Territory Morning Star left Zovland deeply puzzled.

"What's Northern Territory Morning Star up to now? Why would they suddenly flee the Imperial Capital in such a panic?"

Zovland turned and asked his subordinates.

None of them had an answer—until Evelyn spoke up after a mont of thought.

"I think it's highly likely that Luca and Donlow are in mortal danger. Only if those two were facing a life-threatening situation would Morning Star react in such a state of panic."

Though Evelyn had only been on a mission with Luca once, she had already developed a clear understanding of the deep ties between Luca and Northern Territory Morning Star.

Suddenly, it all clicked for Zovland.

Realization dawned across his face.

"You're absolutely right! That has to be it!"

Zovland hadn't paid much attention to Evelyn before.

But after losing a large portion of his subordinates, Evelyn had beco the most capable person left under his command.

"We cannot miss this opportunity! You're coming with —right now! We're heading straight to Shelter 102!"

At that point, Zovland still had no idea that Luca and the others had gone to Lakeside City.

He instinctively assud Shelter 102 had been attacked by a monster horde.

anwhile, the sudden mobilization of the Morning Star group caused quite a stir across the Imperial Capital.

Every faction began speculating about the real reason behind Morning Star's abrupt movents.

But no one could figure it out in the short term.

That was because Luca's operation had been conducted in complete secrecy.

Up to that mont, only the five people directly involved—plus Drumph and Silas—knew what was really going on.

Drumph wasted no ti. Moving with incredible speed, he and his team boarded a rapid transport aircraft and flew straight toward the outskirts of Lakeside City.

Silas and Fuzzsir had also just arrived on the outskirts at the sa ti.

Everyone gathered at the villa where lania had been staying to begin discussing the next course of action.

"The intelligence we currently have is nowhere near enough. We don't even know why the core district of Lakeside City disappeared in the first place. I think we need to gather a lot more information before we make any moves,"

said one of the cautious Morning Star mbers who had co with Drumph.

They had received so intelligence on the way there,

but not nearly enough to justify imdiate action.

Despite his urgency, Drumph nodded in agreent with his subordinate's reasoning.

"Maybe we should investigate the area where the city core should be. We might find so clues there,"

Silas suggested bluntly.

"No way! That place is way too dangerous!"

lania and Fuzzsir objected in unison.

The traumatic mories of what they had encountered on the road to Lakeside City were still fresh in their minds.

"We don't have ti to be cautious! The situation is dire—we have to take the risk!"

Drumph cut them off without hesitation.

He had already made up his mind—he was going to lead a team into Lakeside City himself.

Leaving lania and Silas behind to coordinate from the villa,

Drumph took Fuzzsir and the rest of the team and charged into the city.

They didn't encounter much danger on the way in.

After all, the vast majority of the monsters had already been taken into Zenobia's isolated pocket world.

It wasn't until they arrived at the area where the core district of Lakeside City should have been that they finally felt the presence of overwhelming chaotic energy.

The space that had once been the heart of Lakeside City was now shrouded in a thick, oppressive mass of chaos.

This chaotic force was clearly acting as a barrier, severing the area from the surrounding space entirely.

Drumph stared at the swirling energy, his brows tightly furrowed.

"We won't be able to proceed until we break through this chaotic force,"

Fuzzsir said in a low voice.

Most of the Morning Star – Northern Territory mbers silently agreed with him.
