But it didn't take long for them to realize the cause of the disturbance.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A group of perceptive warriors already began to notice the change in the atmosphere.

In their eyes, there was not just surprise, but also a deep sense of dread.

As the noise grew louder and the ground trembled, it felt like an earthquake was unfolding.

"This is...?" Drumph, Quagmire, and the others had an ominous premonition. At the sa ti, beams of light shot up into the sky, soaring toward the northern direction of Imperial Capital.

When they finally saw what was happening, every one of their faces turned pale in an instant.

"A monster horde... it's actually a monster horde!!" Under the silvery moonlight, from the far horizon, a monstrous tide of creatures, as vast as the sky, seed poised to swallow everything in its path. The terrifying montum gathered into a pitch-black storm cloud, covering the sky and the moon, casting an oppressive shadow over the entire land.

Not just them, even Ric and Marx's expressions changed.

They finally understood why Luca had fled so quickly.

A monster horde! And not just any horde—this was a super-sized monster horde! The number of monsters was at least in the tens of millions!

"How could this be… How could so many monsters suddenly appear around Imperial Capital?" Zovland's voice trembled with fear. A monster horde of a hundred thousand could destroy a large city, turning it into a hell on earth. What about tens of millions? That could flatten a small country!

"Quick! Hurry and inform the higher-ups! Hurry!!" Realizing the gravity of the situation, Drumph wasted no ti. He imdiately contacted the higher authorities to prepare for battle. No—this wasn't just a battle. This was a war!

A war that concerned not just Sumr Country, but all of humanity!

If Imperial Capital fell to this monster horde, the newly stabilized Sumr Country would be plunged into chaos. The recently established Global Human Federation would face a trendous blow, and the already fragile trend of stability could collapse completely.

"I'll be watching to see if you're still so lucky next ti!" Ric glared furiously at the fast-escaping Luca. He didn't chase after him, instead heading toward the wreckage of the laboratory on Dragon Gate Mountain, which had been blasted to ruins. The laboratory and the researchers may be gone, but the research results had to be salvaged. If he didn't bring them out, the higher-ups would never let him off the hook.

However, just as he was about to leave, Ric's peripheral vision suddenly caught sothing. He saw Luca, who was fleeing, suddenly flick his hand, and then a purple light shot directly toward him.

"Damned bastard!" Ric cursed under his breath. He hadn't planned on dealing with Luca at this mont, but the guy had the audacity to strike at him. Did this fool really think Ric couldn't handle him?

Just as Ric was about to teach this reckless fool a lesson, he suddenly noticed sothing was wrong.

"This is...?" His eyes narrowed as he reached out and caught the purple light flying toward him. When he took a closer look, his eyes widened in disbelief.

"Sinful Divine Rank?!" Feeling the thick, oppressive power of sin emanating from the crystal, Ric sucked in a sharp breath, his face registering complete disbelief. He thought he must have been seeing things.

"What?" It wasn't just Ric. Marx, standing beside him, also thought he must have misheard. Only when he saw the purple crystal, now close to shattering, in Ric's hand did he realize that what Luca had thrown to Ric was actually a Sinful Divine Rank!

"Hiss!" Marx couldn't help but draw in a breath. Where the hell had that guy gotten this from?

Ric, anwhile, could hardly believe his luck. After all, this was Zenobia's Divine Rank. If he handed this over to the higher-ups, he knew without a doubt that he would be rewarded handsoly!

By now, Luca and Leipoder had completely vanished into the city, leaving no trace behind. But neither Zenith nor anyone else had ti to care about them. The monster horde was drawing ever closer.

"Let's go!" Ric didn't hesitate for a second. He imdiately stashed the Sinful Divine Rank away. Though he knew the man with the Ultraman mask who had tossed it to him likely had ulterior motives, Ric wasn't worried. With his own strength and hidden cards, he was confident he could deal with whatever ca his way.

His eyes burned with intensity, already envisioning the scene where he would be honored and rewarded for this find.

anwhile, after receiving the report from Drumph and the others, the entire Imperial Capital sprang into action. Many uniford officers and mbers of special units rushed to the frontlines at once.

At the sa ti, the nearby military base received orders. A torrent of armored vehicles and military tanks rumbled toward the approaching monster horde.

Large groups of civilians, summoned by official orders, boarded military transport vehicles to quickly evacuate the city. Although the situation was sudden, the fact that Imperial Capital was the capital of Sumr Country ant that both the defense and evacuation operations were carried out in an orderly fashion.

In the anti, Luca had already returned to the residential area where Susie and the others were staying.

After changing clothes in the alley, Luca turned to Leipoder and spoke in a low voice, "You wait here. I'll be back soon."

It wasn't that he was being pessimistic—it was just that Imperial Capital was no longer a safe place to stay.

With the current strength of Sumr Country, there was no way they could resist a monster horde of this size. It was only a matter of ti before the city fell. Luca was all too familiar with the terror of a horde numbering in the millions. To be blunt, such a force could easily sweep through any country.

What was more concerning was that while fleeing, Sophia had detected a familiar aura. When he thought back to the events in Wind City, Luca was certain that Zenobia had broken free of the seal and had co from the Abyssal Demon Realm into the real world.

He knew Zenobia's goal all too well, and throwing the Sinful Divine Rank to Ric was likely an attempt to buy them so extra ti.

"My daughter? You said you had news of her. Were you lying to ?" Leipoder sounded more anxious, and when he ntioned his daughter, his aura beca unstable. It was clear that he was deeply worried about Tracer.

"Listen to , and I'll make sure you see Tracer," Luca said, not bothering to explain further. He turned and entered the residential building.

Leipoder gritted his teeth, and after a mont of hesitation, he chose to trust Luca.

There was no other option. This was the first ti he had heard of his daughter from soone outside of Zenith, and even the bear Tracer carried was known in detail.

After leaving the alley, Luca walked quickly toward the residential building where Susie and the others were staying.

Along the way, he saw many people hurrying toward evacuation points, and there were also heavily ard police officers and soldiers maintaining order.

With the Morning Star credentials in hand, Luca faced no resistance and was able to move through without any issues. He made his way to the building and quickly ascended to the floor where Susie and the others were staying.

However, as he pushed open the door, he imdiately bumped into a group of anxious people, including Donald, who was preparing to head out. Timi, Tuwnken, and Tracer were also there. The little girl had beco more awake, but still looked a bit dazed.

"Luca?" When they saw him, everyone froze for a mont, then collectively sighed in relief. Sini angrily exclaid, "Where have you been? We couldn't reach you on the phone, we were all terrified!"

"So things happened outside, I was on a mission, and I accidentally lost my phone," Luca had already prepared his excuse.

Before anyone could ask more, he continued, "A monster horde has appeared outside Imperial Capital. It's no longer safe here. I'll take you all out of here first."

Darabont, Donald, and the others had already received evacuation orders, but because they hadn't been able to find Luca, they had been waiting here for so long.

Upon hearing his words, everyone quickly agreed.

The group had already packed most of their belongings.

A few of the n grabbed their things, and everyone swiftly headed downstairs.

Just as they reached the bottom, a soldier arrived, coming to remind them of the evacuation.

Upon seeing them, the soldier spoke in a low voice, "Mr. Donald, Mr. Darabont, the evacuation vehicles from Imperial Capital are ready. Please leave as soon as possible. The longer you delay, the more dangerous it will beco."

"I understand," Donald nodded. The soldier then went off to warn others on the other floors. The group prepared to join the stream of people heading toward the evacuation point.

"You all go ahead first. I have sothing to handle. I'll catch up with you later," Luca said to the group.

He needed to figure out a way to bring Leipoder along. The man was too conspicuous. If he appeared openly, it would be easy for Zenith to lock onto his position and, in turn, drag Luca into the ss. For now, Luca couldn't allow Leipoder to be exposed.

"Always so mysterious, who knows what he's up to…" Susie muttered, but she was quickly silenced by a cold glare from her mother, Zoey. Susie, no longer daring to speak, instead stuck her tongue out at Luca, making a face.

Luca chose to ignore her, waved at the others, and then headed toward the alley where Leipoder was hiding.

...

anwhile, the monster horde was advancing at an alarming speed, getting closer and closer to Imperial Capital. Many of the buildings' windows were trembling, and dust fell from the ceilings as the ground shook.

Approximately thirty kiloters from Imperial Capital, a defense line made up of thousands of armored tanks, armored vehicles, and hundreds of thousands of soldiers was rapidly being established.

All of the forces from the three major military fortresses surrounding Imperial Capital had been imdiately deployed, and the number of troops was still increasing rapidly. By the ti the monster horde reached the area, around 300,000 troops would be available for deploynt. However, everyone knew that tanks and soldiers alone wouldn't be enough to withstand the monster horde's assault. In the end, the true deciding factor on the battlefield would be the players and high-level weapons.

Fortunately, with the establishnt of the Global Human Federation, the top players of Sumr Country had gathered in Imperial Capital, and the number of players in the city had exceeded one million. If they could mobilize these players, even if they couldn't eliminate the tens of millions of monsters, they could at least buy so ti.

The problem, however, was that most players didn't answer to the official authorities. Despite Drumph and the others' best efforts, they had only managed to rally fewer than 200,000 players, many of whom were military or Morning Star personnel. The number of independent players was small, and truly powerful ones were extrely rare.

"There are too few of us," Drumph and the others couldn't hide their concern. Relying on these few hundred thousand people to hold back a monster horde of tens of millions was nearly impossible. Forget about stopping them; they might be wiped out in an instant, leaving nothing behind.
