Online Game: I Started with Max Charisma and Caught the Goddess's Eye Chapter 352: Sky James' Villa! Requests! A Higher Position!
She sat on the chair, her head slightly lowered, her small hands twisting the hem of her skirt. Her bright, glittering eyes were dim, lacking the usual spark.
She looked no different from a child who had done sothing wrong, which made both Sini and Zoey feel a bit sorry for her.
Luca gently ruffled her little head and said, "What happened this ti isn't your fault. You don't need to worry about it or keep it in your heart."
"I'll find a way in the next few days to completely cure your condition."
Upon hearing his words, the light in Tracer's eyes finally brightened a little. She nodded earnestly, her voice soft and shy as she said, "Thank you… Thank you."
Susie, surprised, said, "You can talk? I thought…"
The little girl usually spoke very little, and Susie had thought that Tracer was mute. But when she saw the girl shyly withdraw her head, Susie quickly covered her mouth, not continuing to speak, fearing she might hurt the little one's feelings.
Luca checked the ti on his phone and noticed it was already 8 PM. He turned to Donald and the others, saying, "I'm leaving now. I'll be out for a while and might return late."
In addition to attending the Federation ceremony, there were many other matters Luca needed to handle while in the Imperial Capital. They wouldn't be staying there long, so ti was tight. Donald and the others, understanding that he was in a hurry, didn't try to stop him.
Susie and Sini just reminded him to be careful, while Kanade and Donlow were curious about what Luca had to do. However, seeing that he wasn't planning to say more, they didn't ask further. Once outside the Haven River Hotel, Luca got into the sa car he had arrived in and headed toward the outskirts of the Imperial Capital.
The security team mbers in charge of their safety noticed him leaving and simply spoke into their walkie-talkies, not attempting to stop him. It was clear that soone had arranged for his departure.
The black SUV drove along the road, heading out toward the suburbs.
The scenery on both sides changed rapidly, and it didn't take long for Luca to reach his destination.
Before him stood an extravagantly decorated villa. A flashy Porsche was parked outside, with two large bodyguards standing nearby. To own such a villa in the Imperial Capital, even in the suburbs, was far from sothing an ordinary person could afford, given how valuable land was in this city.
Luca parked the car outside the villa, and before he could get out, the two large n in black suits imdiately walked over to his vehicle.
"Hello, this is a private area…" one of the bodyguards approached the window and was about to inquire about his identity.
At that mont, the villa gate suddenly clicked open, and an electronic synthesized voice from the doorbell spoke: "Let him in, he's my friend."
Upon hearing this, the bodyguards imdiately beca respectful.
One of them said, "Apologies, sir. If we offended you earlier, please forgive us. Please follow ."
"Let's go." Luca didn't mind much. After getting out of the car, he directly followed the bodyguard into the villa.
The villa wasn't very large, but it was decorated with great care. In the small garden outside, there were various rare flowers and plants from around the world, and a dark-haired shepherd dog was kept there. When it saw outsiders approaching, the dog imdiately stood up warily, baring its teeth and giving a low growl as a warning. However, as soon as Luca looked at it, the dog let out a whimper, quickly lowered itself to the ground, and started trembling. The bodyguard nearby looked quite amazed, as it was the first ti he had seen the dog behave so submissively toward anyone other than its owner.
Soon, Luca was led by the bodyguard into the villa.
After the door was opened, Luca's eyes were greeted with a living room that had a classical charm. The sofa was covered with a patterned tiger skin, and the fireplace was burning with a warm fire. An abstract landscape painting hung in the hallway, and on the wall, a pair of large deer antlers adorned the space.
Luca's gaze swept across the room before finally landing on a young man sitting on the tiger skin rug. He was dressed in brown pajamas and was cutting a cigar, with a bottle of dark red, unidentified wine placed on the table in front of him. It was none other than Sky Jas, whom Luca hadn't seen since parting ways in Wind City.
Upon hearing the sound of the door opening, Sky didn't look up. He rely smiled and said, "Sit down and rest for a bit. This cigar is sothing I had specially brought over from a cigar company in Autumn Country. It's a limited edition; probably less than a thousand people worldwide have smoked it. Once it's ready, I'll let you try it."
Luca didn't ntion that he didn't smoke or anything like that. He simply nodded and walked forward, pouring himself a glass of the wine on the table without any hesitation or reservation, acting as though he were at ho. The bodyguard, after escorting him inside, quietly stepped out of the room. The only sounds in the room were the wine pouring into the glass and the occasional snip of the cigar being trimd.
After pouring the wine, Luca placed the bottle down. As the wine settled, a subtle, elegant fragrance of the wine wafted through the air. He took a small sip. It was slightly bitter at first, but then a rich, smooth aroma followed, with a hint of oak. It was undoubtedly one of the finest wines he had ever tasted.
It was clear that Sky Jas had been living quite well lately.
"This wine is excellent," Luca said, finishing the glass of wine in one go. He then turned his gaze toward Sky Jas, who had just finished roasting the cigar. Without beating around the bush, he said, "I ca here mainly to ask you about two things. The first is information about Leipoder. Celephais and the others ca to find earlier, intending to kidnap Leipoder's daughter. Your Jas Family must have information about him, so help find him."
His tone was without a hint of politeness, utterly domineering. Sky Jas paused for a mont upon hearing this. He fell silent, slowly taking out a match to light his cigar.
The smoke clouded the air, obscuring his expression, and neither of them spoke.
The matter involving Leipoder was undoubtedly of great importance to the Jas Family; otherwise, Celephais and the others wouldn't have co to Luca to ask for the person. Sky Jas, though very much valued within the Jas Family, was also under the constant scrutiny of many eyes.
These people were waiting for him to make a mistake, just so they could deliver a fatal blow. In other words, a simple request from Luca could potentially cost him his career or even his life. It was easy to imagine just how frustrated Sky Jas was feeling at this mont.
Finally, Sky Jas couldn't hold back a sigh. Although he had anticipated sothing like this after receiving Luca's ssage, he knew this wasn't going to be a pleasant interaction. The fact that he was taking out his cherished fine wine and cigars might have been an attempt to make Luca go easy on him.
But now, it was clear to him that he had been far too considerate of this bastard Luca.
Sky Jas nodded and said, "I'll agree to this. Within three days, I'll try to get you the information you want from Humr Nan."
Although he was very reluctant to take such a risk, the two of them were still in a cooperative relationship. He hadn't yet gained what he wanted from the Jas Family, so he couldn't afford to tear their relationship apart. Doing so would be bad for both sides.
Moreover, after being favored by Humr Nan, the risks of obtaining these family secrets had beco much smaller and were within his capacity to handle. So, Sky Jas reluctantly accepted.
Luca nodded in acknowledgnt, unsurprised by this response. "There's one more thing. In a couple of days, I plan to visit Dragon Gate Mountain. Could you arrange it for ?"
"Pfft!" Sky Jas, who had just taken a sip of the red wine, suddenly sprayed it out.
Luckily, Luca had anticipated this and used a Mana Barrier to block the expensive wine and saliva from hitting him, preventing him from being put into an embarrassing situation.
He looked at Luca in disbelief, thinking he must have heard wrong. He asked, "You... you just said you're going where?"
Luca calmly repeated, "That's right, I'm going to Dragon Gate Mountain."
At this point, Sky Jas lost his composure.
He rubbed his forehead and said, "I think you've lost your mind."
Now, everyone in Sumr Country knew that Dragon Gate Mountain was the branch of Zenith Corporation. The beings inside, not to ntion Luca, but even the highest powers of the Union Federation, didn't dare act rashly.
After all, that was the company behind Eternal Ga. Who knew what kind of imnse power they wielded? If Luca angered or offended those beings on the mountain, it wouldn't be surprising if the next second, the entire Imperial Capital or even all of Sumr Country was destroyed because of him.
This was also why no country around the world dared to make a move against Zenith Corporation. After all, if sothing went wrong, no one could take responsibility, even if the chances were minuscule.
"You just need to figure out a way to get up the mountain, and you don't need to worry about anything else…" Luca stood up, picked up a box of cigars from the table where Sky Jas had left it, and ignited a bright red fla in his hand.
Lighting the cigar, he looked at Sky Jas, whose expression kept changing between uncertainty and concern, and said, "You don't need to worry about what Zenith's people might do to you. There's no need."
"If they really had the ability to destroy Imperial Capital with a wave of their hand, this place would have turned to ashes long ago."
In his past life, many people couldn't understand why these mysterious beings who could create Eternal World didn't just destroy the entire Earth. But what was certain was that not only had no one ever seen a Zenith person, but no one had ever seen one of them take action.
Sky Jas let out a bitter laugh. "But... that's Zenith we're talking about, a terrifying organization that can change the world. Are you sure you don't want to reconsider?"
If Luca were going up there to try to make nice with Zenith, it would be one thing, but it was clear that he was going there to cause trouble with those people. How could Sky Jas feel at ease?
Luca took a puff of the cigar and looked at the distant horizon, where a dark mountain lood faintly. He said calmly, "You don't need to worry about anything else. Just handle the tasks I've given you. When this is over, you'll definitely be rewarded. Haven't you always wanted to get to a higher position in the Jas Family? After this, not only will I help you clear away any obstacles in your path, but I can also help you rise to a higher position within the Jas Family."
At these words, Sky Jas' whole body jolted.
He looked up at Luca, thinking he must have heard wrong.
A higher… position?!
