599: Chapter 570: Water-Fire Fusion Skill 599: Chapter 570: Water-Fire Fusion Skill “Swoosh!”
Trapped inside a large treasure chest, Su Ran plunged downward like a roller coaster.
After countless twists and turns, the chest finally ca to a stop.
In an instant…
A bone-chilling silence shrouded the large treasure chest, including the unconscious skeleton robed in black.
“Woof!”
Wang Cai, who had a much stronger power of recovery than Su Ran, quickly ca out of his stupor.
He looked at Su Ran at with an anxious expression, biting his black robe and tugging at it persistently.
“Alright, alright, Wang Cai, stop shaking .
Any more shaking and I’ll get even dizzier…”
After being woken by Wang Cai, Su Ran rubbed his throbbing head.
He was just about to stand up when he realized, to his surprise, that he couldn’t lift the chest lid, aning he was now trapped inside the chest.
“What’s going on?”
He pushed hard against the lid of the box until he wearied himself, and Su Ran begrudgingly acknowledged the fact that he simply could not move it.
Could it be…
… that he’d only be able to free himself from the chest with the Universal Key?
If that were the case, it might be easier to die and reincarnate!
Unable to endure the torturous darkness, Su Ran even drew out the Town Recall Scroll.
Regrettably, its usage was prohibited in special spaces.
What did they an by joys co with woes?
This was what Su Ran was experiencing.
He had just co into possession of a chest full of treasure, and while he was still in the thrill of excitent, he was hit with the tragic realization that he couldn’t leave…
After happiness cos danger, the ancient people spoke nothing but the truth!
“I can’t believe that a simple broken box could trap !”
Pushed into a corner, Su Ran beca resolute.
Using his skeletal arm, he struck at the treasure chest lid with all his might.
He even drew out his hoe, but sadly, the space within the chest was too small for him to swing it properly.
“Wang Cai, together with , let’s force open this broken box!”
“Woof!”
Wang Cai stepped onto Su Ran’s leg bone.
His skull ramd forcefully against the lid of the chest, hamring away relentlessly.
Against their best efforts, the treasure chest remained unmoving, disappointing Su Ran.
He regretted his curiosity—why on earth did he trigger the chanism?
He was frustrated!
“Could it be, that I’m now in a plot segnt?
Waiting for an NPC’s daughter to rescue , and then to repay her with my own body?
Cough!”
Even Su Ran thought it was absurd…
“Woof!”
After several unsuccessful attempts, Wang Cai, triggered by his wild nature, proceeded to transform into adult wolfhound shape, charging again at the chest.
Su Ran, cramped by Wang Cai’s large body, was barely able to move, and he feared the chest would burst open any mont.
Wait…
Burst open?!
This sudden realization opened up a world of possibilities for Su Ran.
“Aha, I’ve got it!
Wang Cai, keep calm, stop bumping around and just wait for the show!”
Confidently, Su Ran pulled at Wang Cai’s fluffy tail, indicating that it was not necessary for him to keep ramming at the chest.
“Woof?”
“Watch closely, and whatever you do, don’t blink!”
With a sly smile, Su Ran forcefully reached inside his bladder, pulling out a long chain.
At the end of the chain was a rock, which, the mont it appeared, expanded enormously.
With a loud crash, the chest shattered into pieces, fragnts flying everywhere.
With the chest no longer restricting him, Su Ran jumped up with excitent, all vestiges of his pent-up frustration washed away.
“As I expected, I’m finally out!”
He had prepared himself to be crushed by the enormous rock, even on the verge of using his magic technique Bone Burst.
But it turned out that the chest was so fragile that it shattered with one small push.
The enormous rock chain was the ultimate weapon that Su Ran possessed, the Sun teor!
It goes to show how smart it was to keep a secret weapon…
Thinking to himself, Su Ran couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief.
Good thing he had taken out all the treasures from the warehouse.
Otherwise, breaking this chest in one go would have been quite a challenge!
Kicked away the remaining pieces of the chest under his feet, Su Ran looked around, astonished to find the ground pitted and jagged, like it had been corroded by poison, nothing growing from it.
He was surrounded by steep cliffs, the area above shrouded in darkness, the ceiling of the cave barely visible.
After scrutinizing his surroundings, Su Ran understood.
This place must be inside a mountain!
“Woof!
Woof!”
Just as Su Ran was about to draw the rock back into his bladder, Wang Cai suddenly barked loudly, his voice rushed and forceful—a tone filled with hostility.
Could it be?
Are there monsters?
Su Ran wondered, after withdrawing his weapon, he then looked upward.
“Whoo~ Whoo~”
Dozens of little black demons appeared in Su Ran’s line of vision.
These demons had no legs and were suspended in midair, drifting toward Su Ran.
“Why are mbers of the Ghost Clan appearing in the Dark Abyss?
Could there be a passageway connecting this place to the Demon World?”
Su Ran instantly realized the seriousness of the matter.
If only he knew the leader of the Demon World.
That way, he could exchange so of this information for a reward!
He now understood fully that in the backdrop of this ga, the Ghost Clan was at a severe disadvantage.
They didn’t even have a footing on the God-Demon Continent.
In order to enter this mainland, they’d have to sneak around.
Pathetic…
As for these devils descending from the sky, Su Ran did a quick scan and found out that they were just level-30 creatures with around 1,600 health points.
They simply posed no threat to him!
“Let them experience my newly acquired water-fire fusion skill and test its power!”
Eyes blazing with anticipation, Su Ran switched his Illusion Demon Black Robe for a Stone Sword.
He then draped the Death Sedge Cloak over himself.
After getting everything prepared, he popped a golden bead into his mouth and began chewing.
Suddenly,
the golden bead cracked and lted, turning into red and blue radiance that scrambled about inside Su Ran’s skeletal structure.
It gave Su Ran a ticklish sensation, like being crawled over by hundreds of ants—unpleasant.
At the mont while Su Ran was defenseless, the red and blue rays each surged into his two bone claws, building up power.
“Ding!
Player Skull, please lock in the technique you will use.
If the ti limit is exceeded, you will be counteracted by the Ice Fire Fluid, resulting in a forced leveling down by 1!”
The system prompt sounded, showing Su Ran the way forward.
“Surging Waves!
Netherworld Purple Fire!”
He made his choice quickly, employing these two Crowd Technique spells in succession.
“Boom!”
In an instant, elental fire and ice erupted from Su Ran’s hand and intertwined, combining into a red-blue twotone light ball which crashed into the ground with a forceful impact.
“Bang!”
Loud noises erupted as the raging pillar of fire surged upward like a sea wave, charged vehently at the little incoming devils.
Facing the wild fire attack, Su Ran was awe-struck.
His mind seed to be playing tricks on him.
He seed to hear the crashing sounds of sea waves within the flas!
