479: 469 479: 469 “What else can we do?
Let’s abandon this BOSS and retreat!”
Zhang ng made a hard decision after watching the Sand Titan still had an abundance of health.
He led the players on their retreat.
Hopeless, they couldn’t fly after all!
Instead of enduring Su Ran’s insult here, they decided as soon as possible to abandon the fight, out of sight, out of mind!
Watching their retreat, Su Ran laughed uproariously.
Who would believe a story about a single player driving away an expert from the Heavenly List?
“Oooohh!”
The Sand Titan, seeing all its opponents lose their will to fight and flee, excitedly began beating its chest while roaring non-stop.
Su Ran admired the Sand Titan’s arrogant guise.
If this character had existed in the Three Kingdoms era, he would have been a general who terrorized all corners of the kingdom!
However,
Before Su Ran could make a move, the Sand Titan had already started running.
Although the Sand Titan’s physique was bulky, it was swift and did not stop running deep into the desert.
“What’s happening here?”
Surprised at the sight, Su Ran muttered to himself, he never expected a BOSS to behave so unusually.
But he had no intention of letting the Sand Titan escape, so he chased after it without hesitation.
He was curious to find out what it was up to.
“You sprint so fast I can’t keep up, but chasing after you is fairly easy!”
Su Ran grinned, listening to the sound of sweeping sand all around him and watching the solid back of the Sand Titan.
He was tempted to mount and ride it.
Just like that, under the guidance of the Sand Titan, Su Ran traversed through the Desert of Death and ended up in an unfamiliar terrain.
Out of boredom, Su Ran took out a high-level map whilst chasing the Sand Titan.
When he compared his coordinates, he suddenly realized he was in the place he had to pass through, the Ancient Wasteland!
“Why does this place give the creeps?”
The deeper Su Ran went, the more he could feel the desolation from eons ago.
A cold wind infiltrated his body, washing over his bones and soul fire, making him feel extrely uncomfortable.
However, the Sand Titan was not affected, and on the contrary, it seed to be running even more spiritedly.
“This is undoubtedly an extrely rare opportunity!”
Excitent glead in Su Ran’s eyes making him look more kindly upon the Sand Titan.
Under its guidance, Su Ran gradually went deeper into the Ancient Wasteland.
However, what Su Ran didn’t know was that not long after he left, a player wielding a golden sword had followed after him.
The person, after cautiously inspecting the surroundings, locked his gaze on the black-robed player floating in the sky.
His eyes flashed with rciless intent as he followed the direction Su Ran had taken.
If Su Ran could glance back at that mont, he would be shocked as the person trailing him was none other than Crane That Doesn’t Dance, the Heavenly List expert he had just encountered!
As ti went on, Su Ran had no idea how far he had traveled following the Sand Titan.
Fortunately, he hadn’t encountered a single monster, but with the temperature dropping lower and lower, he was feeling more and more uncomfortable.
“Huh, why is it colder here?”
Feeling sowhat startled, Su Ran, being a skeleton with no flesh or blood could feel the bone-chilling cold, indicating how extrely low the temperature was!
anwhile, the Sand Titan seed to sense the coldness affecting its movents, leaving it moving rigidly like a machine.
Su Ran was also having difficulty in moving at this point.
The cold air around him felt like a wall, blocking his path and making further progress nearly impossible.
After pondering for a mont, Su Ran allowed himself to descend from the sky.
Landing on the ground, he was surprised to find that the chill on the ground was far worse than in the air!
“There must be a natural-born treasure in this harsh environnt!”
Su Ran was certain of it, but he didn’t know what kind of treasure could be worthy of such a dangerously cold environnt!
Watching the Sand Titan gradually moving further away, Su Ran wrapped his Illusion Demon robe tighter around him and struggled on.
Eventually, and after an unknown amount of ti, the Sand Titan finally ca to a stop.
Su Ran heaved a deep sigh of relief.
If he wasn’t driven by a willful urge, he would have given up by now.
Stretching his stiff neck, he looked ahead of the Sand Titan.
“Ice Lake!”
Su Ran’s teeth were frozen solid at this point and he couldn’t speak, however, shock was still evident in his soul.
Hovering above the icy lake was a fiery red fruit that shot off a terrifying heat while in a fierce collision with the cold air beneath, the two contrasting temperatures causing steam to rise from where they clashed.
“This is…
that strange old fruit!”
Upon seeing this fruit, Su Ran was so excited he nearly jumped up!
It was well known that this fruit was a treasure that could make even the experts of the Heavenly List set up ambushes for it.
Its value was thought-provoking!
What was ant to be his, was indeed his, and what wasn’t, couldn’t be obtained by force!
This truthfully verified the old saying; every bite and sip had been predestined!
“This is a massive opportunity, I’ve got to seize it firmly!”
Su Ran quietly clenched his fists, thinking to himself.
But what happened next was embarrassing for Su Ran.
The fists he had just clenched tightly were now frozen shut…
Suddenly.
A harsh gust of wind ca from behind Su Ran, heading to sneak-attack his head.
“Damn, an enemy’s sneak attack!”
Su Ran’s eyes revealed a look of shock.
He wanted to duck rapidly to avoid this lethal strike, but his body couldn’t follow his thought process in ti.
Under the invasion of the icy cold, Su Ran’s body beca extrely rigid.
Walking was difficult, let alone dodging at this point.
“I’m done for, I’m going to die!”
At this mont, Su Ran was very aware of his situation.
He looked regretfully at the fruit in front of him and cursed his lack of vigilance.
He was so distracted by the attraction in front of him that he forgot about the danger behind, having to pay for this painful lesson today!
It was a pity that his only opportunity for resurrection had to be used here, what a heartbreaking waste!
As for that resurrection effect, he could barely hold back his tears when speaking of it.
He only obtained it in the plot of the Rebirth Gate by consuming the vomit of the Rat Rakshasa, was it easy for him?!
Huh?
Wait a second!
Su Ran was surprised to find that, after having thought for so long, the fierce attack had not yet landed on him.
What was going on here?
At this point, Su Ran strangely felt less tense.
He made a great effort to turn around, first t with a gleaming golden sword, followed by a grueso-looking Crane That Doesn’t Dance behind it.
“Ahaha, ahahaha!”
Su Ran was so moved that he burst out laughing.
Even his mouth, frozen solid, was stretched open by him.
This was just too unbearable!
The Crane That Doesn’t Dance in front of Su Ran had frozen stuck…
while trying to attack him!
“Crane god, you’re so kind to serve yourself up to , I’m almost embarrassed to accept!”
While saying this, Su Ran was quite impressed by Zhang ng’s endurance.
In such a harsh environnt, Su Ran was able to persist because he was only a skeletal fra, devoid of any body moisture.
The threat of the icy aura was minimized for him.
However, it was different for Zhang ng.
Zhang ng was of the Human Race and it was known that water composed roughly 70% of an adult human body!
How Zhang ng persisted to this point was beyond Su Ran’s imagination.
He had to acknowledge Zhang ng’s incredible willpower through the chilling torture.
Looking at Zhang ng, already beginning to be overtaken by the ice, there was a sudden jolt in Su Ran’s heart.
“No way, I can’t just let him die of natural causes.
If he doesn’t die by my hand, how could I live up to Crane god’s good intentions?”
Then, Su Ran held a bundle of ghost money tightly in his hand and ruthlessly attacked the just-ford ice sculpture.
Swish, swish, swish!
The fiery balls tore through the barrier of the icy aura, all bombarding Zhang ng’s skull.
Bam!
Bam!
The fireballs exploded one after the other, shattering the ice layer.
Zhang ng’s ferocious face imdiately turned into a bloody ss.
At this point, even his mother wouldn’t be able to recognize him!
