"Zombie Brother, look at your excitent, did you get so good loot?"
Seeing the joyful grin almost reaching the ears of Zombie, Bei Diao couldn’t help but ask. Although he didn’t care much for these items, he couldn’t curb his curiosity.
"No, this BOSS was a total letdown, not worthy of the Dark Gold title. Maybe because it’s a quest BOSS, the drop rate wasn’t as high as expected. Only a level 40 golden equipnt dropped; everything else was just trinkets, nothing valuable."
Zombie pouted in disappointnt, holding the sand wolf king’s eyeball in his hand, then his smile lit up again, "This eyeball is the main attraction. With it, I can claim the quest reward! But I wonder if the reward will be watered down. That ngsini doesn’t look like a generous guy. If he’s stingy like a miser, I can’t do anything about it but accept my fate."
"What? Such a difficult quest and you didn’t discuss the reward in advance with him?"
Su Ran was quite surprised, "Check the quest interface; maybe it’s already listed there."
"Really? Let see."
After accepting the quest, Zombie hadn’t even looked at the quest interface. But when he opened it, he was dumbfounded on the spot.
"Bosses, why can’t I find the quest?"
Zombie looked over and over again in disbelief, his face turning strange, "Could it be that the system has a glitch? Haven’t we worked for nothing then?"
"Zombie, you didn’t even check the quest and started doing it? I really can’t believe you!"
Su Ran felt defeated by Zombie, encountering such a person for the first ti. He thought Zombie took on a chain quest, but it turned out to be just an illusion!
"Damn, that old ngsini bastard dared to trick , let’s settle the score with him!"
Zombie, furious, stord towards the white-bearded old man. Due to his anger, even his fingers exerted strength, causing the sand wolf king’s eyeball to deform. If he continued with this force, it might just burst.
"Zombie, don’t rush to fall out with the NPC yet, see what he has to say!"
Bei Diao feared Zombie would ss up everything. If they offend this NPC, they would get no reward, and by then, regret would be too late.
Sotis it’s best to leave a margin for future encounters, just like the saying goes.
"Don’t worry, Boss Bei Diao, I’ve got it under control!"
Zombie walked toward the NPC without turning his head, but his deanor didn’t reassure anyone.
"Overturning Water, do you think we should step in? I feel like these two might actually start fighting."
Bei Diao, a bit worried, said, feeling that under the influence of anger, Zombie was capable of anything.
"Fight my ass, even a hundred Zombies wouldn’t be a match for this old man. You can’t fight with soone who’s dead."
"Overturning Water, you hit the nail on the head. Letting Zombie die once may not be a bad thing. This incident can teach him a lesson that not everyone can be ssed with!"
"This NPC is not simple. He needs so many quest items; he might be planning sothing big."
Su Ran’s gaze lingered on the white-bearded old man, "Hopefully, Zombie won’t act foolishly. He shouldn’t hand over these quest items before getting the reward."
"Oh no, I forgot to remind him!"
"No worries, no normal person would be that dumb..."
Before Su Ran could finish his sentence, he saw Zombie hand over all the items obediently without a hint of hesitation. In response, he could only cough to ease his own embarrassnt, "That was reckless, let’s pretend I didn’t say anything."
...
Now, back to the topic.
"Elder, wake up, I have sothing to ask you."
Forcing down his anger, Zombie walked to the side of the white-bearded old man, his tone changing completely, even the respectful ’you’ turned to ’you’, which the NPC should be able to discern.
Actually, Zombie did this on purpose. He wanted the old man to know that he was not a pushover!
"Human, didn’t I tell you not to bother until the quest is complete!"
The white-bearded old man, utterly annoyed, waved Zombie off, unwilling to say another word, indicating for him to leave quickly and not disturb his peace.
"Elder, look at this!"
Zombie stifled the urge to kick him to the ground, placing the sand wolf king’s eyeball in front of the old man, yet his mind was filled with doubt. The big commotion caused by the sand wolf king BOSS earlier, didn’t this guy notice at all?
How big is your heart?
"This is..."
Upon seeing the eyeball in Zombie’s hand, the white-bearded old man’s expression changed drastically, standing up with a loud sound, "The sand wolf king’s eyeball! Human, you actually killed the sand wolf king in such a short ti! Impressive, truly impressive!"
"Cut the crap; I just want to ask why the quest you gave is gone. Or are you deliberately ssing with ?"
Zombie couldn’t hold back anymore, getting straight to the point. Rather than wasting ti in circles, he might as well explain his purpose directly. He wanted to see how the old man would explain this!
Without a reasonable explanation, he’d rather feed the sand wolf king’s eyeball to the dogs than give it to him!
If the sand wolf king’s spirit knew Zombie’s thoughts, it would probably cry itself dizzy in the restroom.
"Quest? Human, have you died once already?"
In response to Zombie’s questioning, the old man didn’t appear surprised. He gently stroked his long white beard before speaking calmly, "Be honest, don’t deceive ."
