Chapter 1678: Chapter 1468: Special Mission Space (Two in One)
“Don’t recognize him?”
Qing Qi said in surprise, “Then why does he look so familiar? How can you be so carefree?”
“Exactly, Brother Overturning Water, you’ve really let down. Back when you swore heartfelt promises to under the moon and flowers, and now, how long has it been? You’ve completely forgotten it. You heartless wretch!”
The warrior player put on an aggrieved look, like a wronged little wife. It was absurd and comical.
“What?”
Su Ran was dumbfounded on the spot. When on earth had he made promises to a grown man? What kind of nonsense was this?!
Doing his best to steady his tone, he asked sternly, “What promise did I make? Tell . As long as it’s not too far-fetched, I can handle it.”
“It seems you’ve really forgotten. How cruel!”
The warrior player’s eyes showed sorrow as he sighed and said, “Let jog your mory—public bathhouse, soap…”
“Soap your damn sister! You’re completely full of crap!”
For the first ti, Su Ran was so furious his whole body trembled. He never thought he’d see the day when his virtue would be slandered!
“Overturning Water, you beast! You’d even stoop to touching a man?”
Qing Qi looked shocked. Seeing how confident the warrior was when recounting the story, she felt it couldn’t be wrong. Su Ran’s reaction, on the other hand, looked like soone caught red-handed in disgrace, enraged and ashad.
“Believe it or not, I don’t care. Don’t bother with him; let’s go do the task.”
Su Ran suppressed the anger inside him. “Listen up, buddy, I don’t want to waste words with you. Get lost. You’re not welco here!”
“Brother Overturning Water, I was just joking earlier. Let reintroduce myself, I am…”
The warrior player flashed a bright smile, ready to introduce himself, but Qing Qi cut him off.
“Ah, so it was a joke. Overturning Water, I’m sorry, I misunderstood you. Don’t be mad.”
Qing Qi’s face showed a hint of embarrassnt. Overturning Water had gone out of his way to deliver the Teleportation Scroll to her and help her with the task, yet here she was kicking him while he was down—it was really out of line!
“It’s fine. Anyone who knows knows there’s absolutely no way that would’ve happened. My preferences are completely normal.”
Cleared of injustice, Su Ran felt his resentnt evaporate. He still harbored no goodwill toward the warrior player and didn’t want further interaction, so he urged, “Invite to the group. Let’s do the task. I’ve got other stuff to do; ti is tight.”
“Alright.”
Qing Qi sent Su Ran an invite, and the two ford a party.
“Hey hey hey! You two are way too rude, going off to do the task without inviting . I just happen to have free ti—c’mon, let join!”
The warrior player imdiately protested. Sure, he was an outsider, but didn’t he deserve a choice?
“We don’t even know you. Why would we invite you?”
Qing Qi made a playful face at the warrior, like she was standing up for Su Ran.
“You know now! Allow to formally introduce myself: I am…”
The warrior had just begun his introduction when he fell silent. He noticed the two had vanished before his eyes, while the stone below shimred like ripples on water.
“Overturning Water, who would’ve thought we’d et again like this? But do you think you can get rid of so easily?”
The warrior player grinned wickedly. “I’ve got a big gift for you—just wait and see.”
With that, the warrior stepped onto the stone, stomping hard to test it first. He confird that without triggering the task, one couldn’t enter the Special Mission Space.
But this didn’t faze him. He pulled out a green hat and, with a perfectly natural movent, placed it on his head. Gradually, his whole body sank into the stone, and before long, he disappeared entirely. All that was left was the bewildered stone, quietly being swept by desert winds, disoriented and loneso.

The two were teleported into a mysterious space. Su Ran was startled to find that everything around them was built of rock. Forget sunlight—there wasn’t even a single blade of grass to be seen. As far as the eye could see, it was nothing but stone. Truly odd.
“Overturning Water, what’s up with you? You look kind of serious. Are you still mad at ?”
Qing Qi rolled her eyes, frustrated. “You’re a guy—how can you not have a little bit of tolerance? I’ve already apologized; what more do you want?”
“Stop, stop, stop! When did I ever say I was mad at you? Don’t go making things up!”
Su Ran felt defeated by this woman. If it hadn’t been for this Special Mission, he wouldn’t have bothered engaging with her. He would’ve handed her the scroll and left—not dealt with all this nonsense!

But it couldn’t be helped. He was too tempted by the Special Mission. Serves him right!
“I was just thinking about that warrior player earlier. His features might be ordinary, but when combined, they felt oddly familiar. My mory might not be great, but it’s not so bad that I wouldn’t rember sothing like this. I’ve definitely seen him sowhere, but I just can’t recall where, or anything about him. Friend or foe—I have no idea. It’s truly puzzling!”
“Do you have early-onset dentia or sothing?”
Qing Qi sized Su Ran up and down, her eyes filled with doubt. “But then again, you still rember the task I asked you to help with. There’s no reason to forget a person so completely. Why even bother thinking about it? That guy’s full of bad intent. Forgetting him is probably better!”
“True, no point dwelling on it. Let’s go do the task!”
