1231: Chapter 1144: Collapsing Chest Hair 1231: Chapter 1144: Collapsing Chest Hair “Pull out the mule or the horse, let’s see how it trots!”
Su Ran was keen to see just how fearso a boss that had been hit by so many hidden arrows yet didn’t die could be!
However,
when he arrived at the destination, his expression instantly turned bizarre.
What lay before him was a deep pit, within which several mummy dogs road back and forth.
Judging from their hollow gazes and chanical steps, they seed to lack any conscious will, the so-called walking dead.
At the center of the pit stood a tall stone pillar, at the very top of which a coffin was placed.
Much to Su Ran’s surprise, the chest hair that could never be found on the surface of the sea was now tightly wrapped with cloth inside the coffin.
If it weren’t for the exposed face, one might really think it was a mummy.
As for his body, it was filled with gray-black arrows, the feathers at the ends of the arrows emitted a silver glow, densely covering the surface of the chest hair.
If one didn’t look closely, they might even think it was growing hair.
“Uh, so it was this guy who got shot.
I would have fired a few more rounds if I knew earlier.”
Seeing the miserable state of the chest hair gave Su Ran a sense of satisfaction, but he inevitably had so doubts.
With the power of the arrows, having been hit so many tis, this chest hair shouldn’t still be alive, right?
But why did he seem unhard, not even showing a look of pain?
Isn’t that too strange?
Could this kid have so godly item that granted him immunity to death?
Bullshit!
Seeing this, Su Ran didn’t rush to take action.
He decided to first observe and find out the secret here, as there was still plenty of invisibility ti.
It wouldn’t be too late to make a move then!
…
Chest Hair felt he was incredibly unlucky today, never getting a break since entering the pyramid—chased by mummies, pursued by Mummy Dogs, and every variant of mummy you could think of burst out all at once.
Luckily, with his agile movents, he managed to escape the encirclent and ran toward the corridor.
But alas, he stirred up a hornets’ nest, triggering all the coffins, and the undead mummies all woke up, joining the chase with a growing fervor.
This was also the main reason why Su Ran had not encountered a single monster on his way.
He finally made it to a spacious area, in front of which stood a large sphinx statue.
He planned to escape to it to avoid the undead, but unexpectedly, the statue was just an illusion.
The mont he touched the body of the sphinx, the illusion shattered; countless white bands flew around and swiftly wrapped him into a dumpling.
Fortunately, the system was not too rciless; at least it didn’t wrap his head, so he could still barely stay alive.
The whole process took only a few seconds.
By the ti he realized what was happening, he was already hanging high on a tall pillar.
The system also gave him a huge fright as a coffin suddenly descended from above and latched onto his back.
If another coffin lid was given, he would have fully turned into a mummy…
How could this be acceptable!
Unwilling to succumb to fate, Chest Hair began to struggle fiercely, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t break free from the disgusting wrapping cloths.
Eventually, he ran out of energy and had no choice but to let it be.
Just as Chest Hair was thinking of a way to break free from the wrappings’ seal, a stream of light suddenly struck him directly in the chest.
This sudden event nearly scared Chest Hair out of his wits, eliciting a ghastly scream so loud, probably the entire pyramid could hear it.
Chest Hair glanced at the arrow stuck in his chest, his eyes showing a look of despair.
He thought that was the end for him, but surprisingly, he didn’t lose a single drop of blood; all the damage was blocked by the wrapping cloths.
What’s more, he felt the seal of the cloths seed to have loosened a bit.
Before he could even get excited, several more arrows hit him in quick succession, turning him into a porcupine, with one arrow particularly harrowing, nearly exploding his head!
“Big brother, can you not tornt people like this?
If you’re going to kill, just do it swiftly; this is way too frightening!”
Su Ran was utterly terrified; he was genuinely scared this ti.
To have so many arrows shot at just him, it was no wonder he felt his heart shudder!
This sensation of dying yet not being able to die could indeed make anyone’s sanity crumble!
Fortunately, the barrage of attacks finally paused, giving Su Ran a mont to catch his breath.
He looked at the multitude of arrows on his chest with a pale face, feeling a chill on his back as if his body had been turned into a hornet’s nest.
But upon checking his health, it remained full without a scratch.
Then, he glanced at the Wrapping covering him and noticed only two thin layers remained.
Probably two more arrows, and he could be Unsealed right there!
This unexpected discovery gave Su Ran a roller-coaster of emotions; a gleam of ecstasy flashed in his eyes.
Such an infuriating trap, yet he was about to break free from it!
It was incredibly tough!
Only he could understand the feeling of being a target…
“Swoosh!”
Just as Su Ran was lanting, another arrow ca flying.
He excitedly thrust out his chest to et it and let out a soul-releasing moan the mont he was hit, which also led to Su Ran’s misunderstanding that he had masochism.
“Haha, broke again, broke again!”
Watching the disgusting Wrapping reduce to just one layer, just one more hit would certainly break this damned seal!
Su Ran deeply wished for one more arrow, even if it hit right in the groin!
Unfortunately,
things did not go as desired.
He eagerly waited for that next arrow for a long ti but saw no movent.
The fla of hope that had been blazing within him slowly extinguished, and only then did he realize that the system was definitely ssing with him, playing him to death!
“Damn it, damn it!”
Su Ran roared in anger and began to struggle vigorously.
With only one layer of Wrapping left, the sealing effect was significantly weakened.
His writhing did have so effect; at the very least, breathing wasn’t as suffocating anymore.
As he struggled, the coffin behind him creaked, sounding like an old house in disrepair about to collapse.
But with his back to the coffin, Su Ran didn’t notice this and kept struggling, wanting desperately to break free.
Finally.
The coffin was tipped over by his thrashing, pinning Su Ran inside as it fell from the stone column into a deep pit with a dull thud.
“Woo woo.”
All the Mummy Dogs, like cats slling fish, sward the coffin imdiately, clumsily bumping against it, trying to reach the human invader beneath.
“Man, these Mummy Dogs are so dumb.
It’s really frustrating to watch!”
By now, Su Ran’s invisibility had also faded.
Seeing the Mummy Dogs’ thod of attack, he was speechless.
It seed that until the coffin broke, attacking that guy was out of the question.
So, he decided to take a risk and assist the Mummy Dogs.
Counting on this coffin?
No way!
