ical nodded slightly, his expression calm but thoughtful, letting the weight of Min-jae’s words sink in.
"Second..
" Min-jae continued, "I need to reform the Amagi household. With Veynar and Dorian gone, soone has to set the rules straight. Many of the old regulations make no sense, and so people have been left to act without proper guidance. I am, practically, the head of this household now, and I need to make sure it runs in a way that’s fair and effective."
He paused, watching ical’s face. There was no humor there, only careful consideration.
That was enough for Min-jae pressed on.
"And third.." he said, voice lowering slightly, "my lands in the North. I have building projects, businesses to oversee, and plans for a prep school for won that cannot wait. These are things I have dread of doing for years. Now that I can, I must. There’s no ti to waste."
ical remained silent, absorbing the breadth of Min-jae’s plans. His jaw tightened slightly, and he nodded once, deliberately, as if marking each point in his mind.
"These... are serious responsibilities," he said, voice even. "You are not underestimating how much work this will be, are you?"
Min-jae shook his head. "I’m aware. But I can’t put any of this off. I have to start now, and I have to see it through. Even with... all of this."
He gestured vaguely at himself, aning the pregnancy, his growing responsibilities, everything that had changed in the last few days.
ical’s expression softened. He stepped closer, placing a steadying hand over Min-jae’s shoulder. "I understand, but you must rember that you are pregnant my darling and the North is cold. Can you wait until the children are here before you go there? The prep school can be constructed here in the South and another will be constructed in the North when the ti cos.."
Min-jae nodded, he guessed he shouldn’t do anything that would jeopardise the pregnancy.
"Alright. Then can you call so rchants for ? I’ll send a letter to Robert. As for the prep school, we have to send notices so we can know the amount of ladies interested in learning how to read and write. I’m sure the maids will be happy to sign up, it’s good to have an education as a woman. For the prep school, I was thinking I’d find knowledgeable won on tailoring, music, drawing or painting, ball grown dancing and literature. Along side mathematics and philosophy."
ical was a bit taken aback, Kaizar had already thought it through.
"I’m amazed you thought of it thoroughly. Then may I suggested you building a school along side it? One for children between ages 4-10 and another for adolescence between ages 11-18. We can make it into a process once they are done, they are sent to these prep schools.."
Min-jae smiled, that was beautiful idea. With this installnts in place, they could rest easy knowing the future generations would have an education.
Regardless of if they were rich or poor, male or female.
"Brilliant. And it has to be free but with condition. You need a certain passing grade to move on to the next level, if you cannot et such level, then you’ll be asked to pay. This will pay them place so effort into learning. After all it’s only free because they’re not privileged to pay. We can to calculate the numbers so we can calculate the amount of learning materials that would be needed."
ical nodded slowly, letting each of Min-jae’s points settle in his mind. "That is... remarkably thorough," he said carefully, his tone asured. "You have considered not only the subjects but also the structure, the progression, and the social implications. You are thinking about accessibility, accountability, and sustainability all at once. That is... ambitious, Kaizar, and necessary. I can see how important this is to you."
Min-jae exhaled lightly, as if a small weight lifted off his shoulders with ical’s understanding. "It has to be, ical. If I don’t start now, the people who need this the most will be left behind. The children, the won, everyone. It’s not just about education; it’s about giving them choices, giving them power over their own lives."
ical’s gaze softened, a quiet admiration underlining his words. "I see that. And it is not just planning or administration. You are already thinking in terms of long-term impact, about creating a system that can sustain itself after you are no longer directly involved."
"Yes and also because knowledge expells ignorance."
ical nodded, he would take care of the labor and leave the planning to Kaizar.
"Alright. Let’s do it this way. I’ll take care of the building and construction. Basically everything you need, you just have to tell what you need. Is that okay with you?"
Min-jae smiled. "Perfect, ical. Thank you."
"Actually, can you look into finding trustworthy won to help manage the schools? Ones with education or administration experience?"
ical nodded. "I’ll take care of it."
Min-jae nodded, feeling a sense of purpose. "Let’s do this, ical. Let’s give these won and children a chance at a better life."
ical smiled. "We will, Kaizar. We will."
Min-jae smiled, alright the plans were falling into place.
"Alright. Where is Vanadis. We ca down to see him and he’s no where in sight."
-_-
"I didn’t want to disturb your discussion, Master.." Vanadis bowed, he had a shovel in his hand for so reason.
"What’s with the shovel?"
Odysseus stepped in, also holding a shovel, his presence made Vanadis hissed lowly.
"Who let the dog in."
-_-
Odysseus lips twitched sending a glare at Vanadis.
"Who else let’s a dog in apart from it’s master?"
-_-
Min-jae and ical looked at each other, did sothing happen between them?
Min-jae shook his head, he guessed Vanadis was fitting into his role as an Oga now, there really any noticeable difference in his features.
But he did notice faint redness in his ears, was it attracted to Odysseus now? Or was it Odysseus pheromones affecting him?
"Sorry to cut your lover’s quarrel short. But you have to keep your pheromones in check. It can be uncomfortable for so of us. Normal people won’t be able to sense it but we, who have now transition to a secondary gender can sense it. I know we are all new to this but let’s try to keep in back."
Vanadis scratched his head, it’s not like they could really control it.
"We’ll try our best to control our pheromones, Mada. As you said we’re quite new to this, we will learn to control it overti."
Min-jae nodded, not that Odysseus pheromones affected him, but it looked like it affected Vanadis.
"Now what’s the shovel for?"
Odysseus smiled "We were rely removing the weed from the garden. The mada hasn’t co out for a month, so we thought when he does co out, he’ll have a nice garden to look at."
Min-jae smiled, feeling warm. "Thank you. Why don’t we head to the garden to see your work?"
Min-jae had barely taken a step when ical held him back.
"We’ll go later, for now it’s ti for you to eat."
-_-
Min-jae blinked at ical, a faint frown forming. "Eat? But—"
"No argunts," ical interrupted gently, guiding him toward the dining area. "Your body needs strength. You can’t plan schools and manage a household on an empty stomach."
Min-jae huffed softly, but allowed himself to be led, trusting ical’s judgnt.
The thought of food briefly displaced the weight of the plans, and he found himself grateful for the quiet care behind ical’s words.
Once seated, the servants brought out the dishes—simple, nutritious, and warm.
Min-jae picked at the food.
Min-jae had been ready to devour the food like the glutton he was. His stomach growled, and his eyes sparkled with hunger.
But the mont he inhaled the scent, his face twisted. A wave of nausea hit him like a physical blow.
He dropped his fork imdiately and bolted upright, scanning the room desperately. "Where—where’s a—" He barely managed before clutching his stomach and stumbling toward the nearest corner.
ical’s eyes widened, and he was at Min-jae’s side in an instant. "Kaizar, slow down. Breathe. What’s wrong?"
Min-jae covered his mouth, gagging repeatedly, he hadn’t even eaten the food yet so why was he even feeling nauceus.
"I need to throw up, ical get sothing to throw up in or else I’ll do it all over the floor.."
ical looked at Min-jae worriedly as he quickly went to get a bowl.
"I’m getting it.."
