Beneath Taibola Volcano, the underground palace where molten lava churns.

In the midst of the crimson magma lake, a massive rumble resounds as columns of fire, tens of ters tall, shoot into the sky. The scorching magma sprays onto the surrounding walls, emitting sizzling noises.

Subsequently, the lting lava parts to both sides, revealing the Radiant Stone steps near the edge.

The robust figure of Su Heng, bare-chested, holds in his hand the Scepter that has just been forged in the Original Blood River; he thus ascends the steps, one by one.

Crack!

He moves his body slightly.

During this period of slumber, he has fully digested and absorbed the souls of the Demon Descendants.

Although the ti spent in slumber wasn't too long, his current state is quite good.

And it's even quicker than Su Heng had originally anticipated.

"Perhaps it has sothing to do with the trials in the Original Blood River, there seem to be so subtle benefits," Su Heng speculates.

His brows furrow slightly, as he recalls the two consecutive experiences within the Original Blood River, feeling sowhat wary.

At that mont, Su Heng suddenly feels a sensation and looks up.

His gaze falls upon the wall to the side, where, illuminated by the glow of the magma, hangs a demonic head trophy with horns and a bull-like appearance, suspended on a black decorative rack.

Previously, Su Heng's understanding of the Original Blood River was limited.

He was rely amazed.

That after the head entered his body, it turned out to be indigestible.

Now, it seems that it may be related to the Authority of the Blood River.

Whoosh!

He reaches out and grasps.

The colossal Demon head floats down from the wall, landing heavily in Su Heng's hand.

Su Heng clenches his fingers tightly, squeezing the head.

With his current strength, he can only leave a few shallow marks on it.

"Interesting," Su Heng's mouth curls into a smile, showing an intrigued expression. Infusing his spiritual power into it, he instantly feels a red energy tightly bound within the solid skull. Fortunately, with his ample spiritual power, he extracts the remaining energy thread by thread.

Comparing the two gains.

The first-ti Authority obtained from the Blood River is less than a third of the second ti.

But having so is better than none, and the applications that can be developed from this thing are not small.

Embracing the idea of not wasting.

Su Heng fuses the two Authorities together.

All are channeled into the Scepter in his left hand, its radiance becoming increasingly crimson.

Those protruding spikes seem as if they just rolled off a living creature, and faint wails can almost be heard from within.

The sensation chills to the bone.

Yet, Su Heng's face reveals a satisfied smile, feeling that the Scepter has gotten sowhat heavier.

Even the skull, having lost the Authority of the Blood River, with its structure altered and still emanating a strong evil spirit, is useful for the upcoming plans. Su Heng lightly touches it and then activates the Flesh Furnace talent.

Whoosh!

A gust of wind blows by.

The massive skull vanishes into thin air, taken by Su Heng.

With a re thought, a dark red light flashes before his eyes, and Li Hongxiu's spectral figure slowly erges from the shadows.

"Master," her voice cool, she bends her knee slightly in salute to Su Heng, her dark, soft hair flowing down like a gentle autumn stream along the girl's pale cheeks and sculpted shoulders.

Su Heng feels an urge to touch it, but he rely nods and asks, "How is the matter I tasked you with proceeding?"

Li Hongxiu looks up, a smile on her face, "It's going very smoothly."

"That's good," Su Heng breathes a sigh of relief.

Neither Kulika nor Jialuo, the two Descenders, had been killed by Su Heng.

He hopes to use these two samples to reverse-engineer the life-force experintations of Descenders.

The biggest difference between them and the weaker Third Generation like Ban Poluo lies in the fact that inside Second Generation Descenders, a portion of the Origin power from the long life heavens is fused.

So the first step of the experint.

Is to forcibly extract this power from their bodies.

It's not an easy task, but Su Heng now possesses the Dao Path of "All Things Return to One".

Plus, having absorbed a large number of demon souls and grown stronger in spiritual power, Su Heng's mastery of the Dao Path has beco even more profound.

He has left a part of his consciousness with Li Hongxiu, who during his slumber has relentlessly tried, and after spending a great deal of effort, has finally succeeded.

"I've brought back what you wanted," Li Hongxiu says imdiately afterward.

With a sweep of her long sleeves, two mysterious lights suddenly appear in the previously dark underground palace and gently fly towards Su Heng.

Su Heng spreads his fingers to catch them, one side of his face reflecting the dark red glow of the magma, his aura taking on an evil cast. From the lights cos an enticing fragrance, not real olfactory sensation, but Su Heng's body recognizing that these materials are beneficial for his cultivation, excellent nourishnt, hence stirring a desire.

Disregarding this emotion, he focuses his attention on the objects in his hands.

One of the lights appears to be a golden eye with wings, surrounded by specks of star-like light points.

Based on the energy it emits, this should be Kulika's Origin, the Star-casting Golden Dragon.
