A tense atmosphere filled the ship. Luffy's punch was mostly absorbed by Alvida's fat, though it made her gasp. It didn't cause significant damage.
The club ca crashing down!
Boom! A small crater appeared on the deck where Alvida's club struck.
Luffy's hand narrowly avoided the blow. The club's sharp spikes would have pierced him. Luffy could withstand blunt force, but without Armant Haki, he couldn't defend against sharp weapons.
A bloody gash appeared on his arm, blood dripping onto the deck. The sound of dripping blood turned Koby's face pale.
Koby pointed at Luffy's arm, "You're injured!"
"Yeah," Luffy nodded, his eyes darkening. He hadn't expected his first battle to be so difficult.
"Heh, kid, whoever you are, you'll die by my club!"
Alvida charged again, her club whirling. Luffy fought back, but Alvida's fat acted as excellent shock absorption.
Though Luffy managed to land several blows, even making Alvida spit blood, his condition worsened. He was covered in cuts and puncture wounds; only his hat remained intact.
Alvida laughed cruelly, approaching Luffy. "Kid, you're strong to have beaten this far, but it ends here. Die!"
Koby blurted, "Get back! You'll die!"
Luffy tried to move, but his body felt like it weighed a ton, severely hindering his movent.
"Is this the end? This is so unfair! I just set sail! I haven't t Ace, fulfilled my promise to Shanks, or beco Pirate King! I'm not ready! But it's over…"
He looked at the sky, trying to clench his fists, but he had no strength left.
Then Koby stepped in front of Luffy, arms outstretched, shielding him from Alvida's descending club.
Closing his eyes, he shouted, "This is my own decision!"
For the first ti, Koby acted on his own will, even if it ant death. He had no regrets.
Luffy's eyes widened. "Get out of the way! Cough!"
His injuries were severe; even a slight increase in volu caused a burning sensation in his chest, followed by a coughing fit and blood.
Ryuya appeared before Koby. "Enough. This is pathetic. I can't stand this lodrama."
He effortlessly caught Alvida's club with one hand, using only his physical strength. He squeezed, and the club deflated like a balloon, becoming like putty. Alvida's eyes widened.
"Impossible!"
Ryuya smirked, snatching the club and crushing it into a ball before tossing it into the sea. With a single palm strike, he sent Alvida flying into the ocean.
At that speed, even the sea would be as hard as the ground. There was no chance of survival.
Ryuya's power stunned Luffy and Koby. One standing, one lying down, both were speechless. They thought they were hallucinating.
"So… so strong!" Luffy whispered, awestruck by the cloaked man.
The other pirates were terrified, wanting to escape but finding no way. Jumping overboard ant certain death. Ryuya made the choice for them.
"Kuina."
"Yes, Master."
Kuina, having been with Ryuya for a while, understood. She turned to the pirates, her slender hand raised, her long, delicate fingers tipped with perfectly manicured nails.
Sword intent brewed, and with a flick of her wrist, countless slashes erupted!
In an instant, the ship beca a scene of carnage, filling everyone with terror.
Kuina's gaze fell on Koby, rembering he was also part of Alvida's crew. Koby, terrified, fell to his knees, feeling the oppressive presence of death.
"Keep him alive," Ryuya said, crouching before Luffy, a smirk on his face…
